The Web of Knightspur-Chapter 172
Commander Colt smiled as he looked at Princess Eleanor while waiting for her to speak.
"Princess should give me the orders." Commander Colt said as he blinked his eyes.
Princess Eleanor sighed as she finally spoke in a small voice, "I want you to find out if there is any relationship between the Crown Prince and Priest Erasmus."
Princess Eleanor’s eyes sharpened and Commander Colt could not understand what he was supposed to say to this order. He was a little nervous and he nibbled on his lips. "The relationship between them? Everyone knows the relationship between the two, Princess. One is the Crown Prince while the other is the High Priest. There is nothing more than that." Commander Colt looked at Princess Eleanor as he smiled, "And to be honest, the Princess should also know that the situation in the Roulux Empire is a little critical right now. It is a good thing that the Royal family and the Temple are on good terms with each other."
"So I should be grateful for that?" Princess Eleanor laughed. "I know that one is the Crown Prince and the other is the High Priest. But I am not asking you to just give me such superficial connections! I want to know if both of them are meeting alone. Are they exchanging letters? If so, are the letters addressed under different names? Anything like that would be of help. I want to know it all. Any common point of contact between them is what I am looking for."
"And why is that?" Commander Colt asked but he soon realized what a great mistake he had made. He swallowed nervously before shaking his head, as though dismissing his earlier question. "I understand, Princess. I will find out and let you know by the end of the day."
Princess Eleanor felt satisfied as she nodded her head. "Let all the Princesses go back. We still have evening snacks together. I will try and get some information. But as for you, make sure to understand why the Crown Prince believes that he can change God’s will on his own. He must have some hidden key to turn the situation around as he wishes."
Commander Colt nodded his head as he understood what Princess Eleanor was saying. ’The Lord had asked me to do the same. What are they both thinking? They are so in sync as if they are two bodies but with one soul.’ 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Commander Colt stood up from the seat before bowing in front of the Princess as he asked in a low voice, "Do you have other commands, Princess?"
Princess Eleanor was silent as she thought carefully. There was only one thing that was bothering her and that was to find the truth. "Nothing else. I hope you will not disappoint me. And Commander Colt..." Princess Eleanor saw Commander Colt looking at her with straight eyes. "I want you to send Sir Kit here. I have something to discuss with him."
Commander Colt was silent as he nodded his head in understanding. After saluting, he walked towards the window. He soon disappeared from sight as Princess Eleanor looked in the direction where his figure could no longer be seen. Princess Eleanor smiled as she leaned towards the table. Her hand rested on the table top as she tapped her fingers rhythmically. She did not know what was occupying her mind. But no matter what she did, she just could not focus on one thing. Many things were messing around in her mind and she wanted to get rid of the constant questions bombarding her. And she wanted answers.

"Nia," Nia heard a voice as her footsteps stopped. She looked back only to see Princess Vida’s lady-in-waiting walking towards her with bright eyes.
’So you were here.’ Nia thought as she smiled. She had been searching for Kelly for a long time, but she could not find her. It was only now that she understood that Kelly was near the garden which surprised her. None of the ladies-in-waiting for the other Princesses were so brave as to walk around the Beaumont mansion without their master.
"Nia, what are you doing here?" Kelly smiled she asked as if she was the host and Nia, the Beaumont mansion’s guest.
"I should be asking you this question instead." Nia said in an innocent tone but her eyes turned dark. "Especially when Princess Vida is not here."
Kelly smiled as she shook her head once she realized what she was doing. Her eyes sharpened as she blinked her eyes innocently. "Princess Vida wanted to make rose tea for the Crown Prince in the evening. So I wanted to pick some roses, but who knew..."
Kelly did not complete her sentence, but Nia understood the hidden meaning behind them. "Well, the Beaumont mansion does not have any flowers. I was a little concerned when we first came here, but now I am used to it."
Kelly asked in a questionable tone, "But is Princess Eleanor comfortable with no flowers here? After all, all the Princesses like to enjoy tea in gardens."
Nis shook her head as both of them walked in similar directions. "Well, Princess Eleanor likes flowers and plants, but she does not have many chances to come outside. Doctor Raul has forbidden her to walk too much. So none of us are allowed to walk as we please in the Beaumont mansion."
"So you are confined in a room?" Kelly’s eyes widened. "I thought the Grand Duke would be happy to at least see all the Princesses here. But he did not even come here to greet us. Although Princess Vida will not mind it, but don’t you think the other Princesses might get offended?"
Nia’s eyes shook as she looked at Kelly for a brief second. She could tell that Kelly was trying to dig more information from her. It was obvious and she could not help but smile. Nia knew that she should not be resistant to giving something up to gain something else.
"Well, to be honest, even Princess Eleanor had not met the Grand Duke. Not even once. He is a busy man. I heard that he was there when the Crown Prince came, but he went to solve some problems of the commoners." Nia smiled as she said in a disappointed tone.
"Really? He had not met Princess Eleanor as well?" Kelly murmured but her mind was filled with thoughts on how to rush off to tell this to Princess Vida.
"But does the Crown Prince like rose tea?" Nia asked in a confused tone. "I think something like this is only known to the people of the Roulux Empire. I wish we had known this earlier, then maybe Princess Eleanor could try and like the rose. Unfortunately, Princess Eleanor does not like roses." Nia sighed as she shook her head, "Also, I think the Crown Prince does not like Princess Eleanor. After all, because of the attack and the poisoning incident, I feel like the Crown Prince has detached himself from Princess Eleanor. You are lucky that Princess Vida is staying in the Royal Palace."
Kelly shook her head. She did not feel any sympathy for Princess Eleanor. In a way, she felt that it was better that the Crown Prince does not to get acquainted with the other Princess.
Nia saw Kelly ignoring her words, but she knew that she had to get some information. "Kelly... Do you have any relatives here? I wish I had some relatives here who could help Princess Eleanor. I heard that some of the Princesses have their relatives that have settled in the Raulux Empire. I heard Princess Vida also has a few."
Kelly nodded her head subconsciously. Only after she did that, she realized what she had done. But it was too late. "Well, Marquess Gio knows Princess Vida. He and his family had visited the Royal Palace to meet her too."
Kelly smiled as she informed, looking at Nia. Although Kelly knew that there was nothing to hide, it was also something that she did not want to say proactively. Kelly also knew that if Princess Eleanor came to the Royal Palace, she would find out one way or the other.
"Oh, I wish someone knew Princess Eleanor here. Maybe then we could live there at their house. Although the Grand Duke has taken care of us, I think that what Princess Eleanor needs more is companionship. Maybe a friend would be good."
"Yes, that is true. I think Princess Vida is lucky as Marquess Gio has a daughter who is spending some time with Princess Vida so she is not lonely and as unhappy as the other Princesses." Kelly boasted in a happy voice.
"Oh, I have heard that she is the heir of Marquess Gio. But she was interested in the Grand Duke, I heard. But from my stay here, I could tell that the Grand Duke is never interested in anyone. He is too busy with his work and he does not like people interfering in it too. But I don’t know how long the Grand Duke can sustain this without marriage."
"Marquess Gio said that the Grand Duke holds a lot of power in the Roulux Empire. His strength cannot be ignored... even by the Emperor."
