The Worst Villain is Actually a Cute Girl-Chapter 33
Red arrived at the abandoned orphanage and opened the handcuff space, pulling out a pouch she had kept inside.
She took one cookie from the pouch and took a bite.
It was a cookie made by the children.
A smile softly appeared at the corner of Red's mouth.
Though it wasn’t as well-made as the cookies crafted by professional bakers, to her, it was the best cookie in the world.
After finishing the cookie, she opened the storage space again, put the pouch back inside, and got out of the car.
The orphanage she was visiting now was much larger than the one she sponsors, and the yard was as large as a school playground.
But now, it was a desolate, abandoned building.
Red remembered the grandeur of this place.
She had once thought that all of this was Isaac’s dedication to providing the best environment for the children, but now that she knew the truth, disgust flooded her.
She broke down the entrance door and walked steadily into the yard.
Someone was standing in the center of the yard.
Red recognized the person and slightly frowned.
Isaac, on the other hand, was smiling broadly.
He raised one hand in a friendly greeting.
Red was struck by the casual, friendly attitude.
"It's been a while since you’ve come here, hasn’t it? I would have loved to treat you, but I don’t have much here. There’s a quiet café not far from here. Let’s go talk there."
"..."
Red glared at him.
Isaac scratched his cheek awkwardly, making a dry laugh.
“Don’t give me that look. I know exactly why you came, and I understand how you’re feeling right now. But if you understand my situation, you’ll understand why I did what I did.”
“Understand? You want me to understand after everything you’ve done? Seriously?”
Isaac placed a hand on his hip and nodded.
“If you hear my side, you’ll definitely understand.”
Red smirked.
“I have a lot of questions for you, but we’ll get to those later. Let me ask directly—where’s Lily?”
Isaac’s smile disappeared at the uncomfortable question.
He looked truly annoyed, sighing deeply as he rubbed his forehead.
His eyes widened, and he stared at Red.
“I want to clear up our misunderstanding quickly. But is that really so important?”
“Important?” Red’s tone sharpened.
“What do you think of that child?” Isaac continued, his voice dripping with annoyance.
“She’s a bug. She shouldn’t exist in this world. What do you think will happen if we leave a bug unchecked? The world will crumble. So just forget about her. She should disappear. But right now...”
Isaac’s words were interrupted by a loud crash.
Red had kicked the ground and charged at him in a blur, throwing a punch toward his head.
The punch was blocked by a suddenly appeared ice wall.
“Haha, it would have been a problem if I hadn’t prepared this,” Isaac grinned, as the ice wall cracked and shattered effortlessly with a loud bang.
Isaac’s eyes widened, and just as he tried to make a move, his neck was caught in Red’s grip and lifted up.
“Cough...”
As Red tightened her grip, Isaac’s eyes narrowed, and his arms flailed in the air, struggling for air.
His face slowly turned blue as he gasped, but his lips still held a smile.
Raising his lips even higher, his body slowly began to turn into ice.
As he tried to grab Red’s arm with both hands to freeze her, Red tightened her grip on his neck.
Crack!
His neck snapped, and his body and head fell to the floor.
Red looked down at the broken Isaac with indifferent eyes.
She didn’t «N.o.v.e.l.i.g.h.t» let her guard down.
What had shattered in front of her was only a mere clone.
It wasn’t over yet.
A thick mist had already filled the yard, obscuring her vision.
From within the mist, Isaac’s voice echoed.
Red quickly scanned her surroundings.
She couldn’t see his silhouette, nor could she sense any presence. But she remained remarkably calm.
“Did you think I was just waiting for you unprepared? I’m no fool. I know your personality too well.”
Isaac’s voice was full of confidence.
He was certain of his victory, his tone relaxed as he continued speaking.
“You’re strong. Even if I use all my power, I’m a bit short. But you know what? The world isn’t all about strength. I know you well enough. You can never beat me. This is a fight I can never lose.”
Isaac, hidden in the mist, looked at Red.
His eyes held a touch of pity for her.
It made sense; after all, she was fighting a battle she could never win.
Isaac knew Red’s skills and patterns well.
He knew exactly what kind of attack she would make and how she would approach it. After learning her moves and battling her in event fights, he had always won overwhelmingly.
“I just want to talk. So, could you lower that killing intent?”
Not wanting to hurt her, he begged earnestly.
The aura surrounding Red grew even fiercer.
Rejection.

Isaac’s face grew regretful.
“I don’t want to hurt you. So...”
Isaac moved.
The mist he conjured was special.
It concealed not only his mana and presence but even his footsteps.
With a natural gait, he silently crept behind Red, placing his palm lightly on her back.
“Let’s clear up the misunderstanding with a conversation.”
Seeing Red start to move, Isaac warned her.
“You better not move. You know what I mean. You know what 70% of the human body is made of. What do you think will happen if I use my strength here?”
“...”
Red sighed lightly.

“...Alright, go ahead. Tell me what great purpose you had to commit all this.”
Isaac paused for a moment before speaking.
“To save the world.”
Isaac began explaining.
The world was heading toward destruction, and he was moving to save it.
In the midst of everything falling into place, an unexpected variable had appeared, causing problems with his perfect plan.
“Who did this?” Red asked.
“You know him well. The Reaper. He’s the one who can truly bring this world to its knees.”
“...”
“The Reaper must disappear. He’s the one disrupting my ideal plan.”
“So, you did all of this to defeat the Reaper?”
“The Reaper is strong. You know that better than anyone, having faced him directly. If everyone fought together, we might be able to defeat him, but it would come at a great cost, with many lives lost and the balance of the city destroyed. I don’t need to explain what would happen afterward, right?”
“...”
“I need to take down the Reaper before that balance breaks. That’s what I’ve prepared for. It’s all to protect the world, and my friends.”
“Save the world... What a noble mindset you have.”
“Right?”
Isaac’s face lit up.
He seemed to believe that Red agreed with his noble cause.
But her words quickly made Isaac frown.
“Really, this is absurd.”
“What?”
“Didn’t you hear me? Let me repeat it for you. Everything you said is ridiculous. I thought you were after power or strength, but now it seems like you’re just thinking about something far stranger.”
“Are you serious? How can you say something like that? How could you!!”
Isaac snapped.
Red smirked at him, as if his reaction was pathetic.
“You don’t get it at all, do you?”
“What do you mean I don’t get it?”
“People need to be honest with themselves. Do you really think what you want is peace and love?”
Isaac fell silent.
He was caught off guard by the question.
Isaac believed that every action he took was for the world’s good.
That much hadn’t changed.
Just as Isaac was about to speak, Red cut him off.
“When I was close to you, I didn’t see it. But after being apart, I can see you for who you really are. You don’t care about the world, or your friends.”
Isaac was friendly and approachable, and he got along well with others.
But Red had sensed something off in his demeanor.
At first, she had brushed it off as a simple misunderstanding.
But the unease became clearer the day they held the funeral for the children.
Now, after everything, she finally realized what had been bothering her all this time.
“You, from the start... did you ever see your companions or the citizens as real people?”
Red remembered the time when she had worked alongside Isaac.
Isaac gathered people he needed and used those relationships to further his own gain.
If someone became a threat or was no longer useful, he coldly discarded them, even if they were his companions.
His actions were remarkably efficient, but he was indifferent to the well-being of those around him.
He only cared about results.
Though his companions were wary of his attitude, they didn’t pay it much attention.
The world was a harsh place, and with someone like Isaac, they thought he was relatively decent.
And more importantly, his commands always brought surprising results, no matter how poorly his companions were treated or how much damage was caused to those around them.
‘So that’s what it was.’
Isaac treated people like pieces on a game board.
And he still did.
As Red spoke with him, she could sense that he felt no guilt at all.
No sorrow, no pain, in his expressions, gaze, or voice.
He was just angry that his plan was falling apart.
“Save the world? Protect your companions? You’ve got to be kidding. You just want to win the game. You just want to win and get your rewards.”
Red turned her head and smiled at him, making sure he could see it.
“Stop pretending to be pure. Now that you’ve come this far, just be honest. You’re just trash, the kind that can’t even be properly recycled. A rotten piece of trash.”
Red felt a tremor on the palm that was still on her back.
Her breathing became harsher.
She didn’t even need to look to know what was happening.
Isaac was probably standing there, fuming.
“And I’m the cleaner who can’t leave trash like you around.”
An eerie silence filled the air.
In the mist, a man’s shaky breath could be heard.
He spoke in a voice that seemed like he was holding something back.
“...Then I have no choice. You brought this on yourself. It’s going to hurt, but you’ll have to endure it.”
His plan to resolve things with words had failed.
Now, it was time to move to the next phase.
He would subdue Red, tear through her mind, and erase everything like it never happened.
The outcome was already decided.
No matter how strong she was, once his magic activated...
Thud!
“Ugh...?”
Isaac froze in place.
The sight before him didn’t make sense.
The arm that had been on Red’s back had bent in an unnatural way.
Red, who had been facing away from him, was now staring directly at Isaac.
Before the pain could fully reach him, a new wave of intense pain struck Isaac’s abdomen with three powerful blows.
Isaac staggered back a few steps.
“Ugh...!”
Stumbling awkwardly, Isaac vomited up whatever was in his stomach.
The tremendous pain focused all his attention, and as he slowly raised his head, a fist slammed into his face.
One of his teeth flew out into the air.
His body was sent flying, crashing into the ground several times.
With each roll, groans of pain escaped Isaac’s mouth uncontrollably.
“Ugh...! Ughh...!”
Isaac, completely sprawled on the ground, twitched.
And then, the familiar sound of footsteps approached him.
“Time’s running out. Let’s finish this quickly.”
Red shook her head, waving her hand.
Isaac thought something was terribly wrong.
