The X Guide-Chapter 144: The Horror Under The Sea (6)
Khal did not ask anything after that. Devion also fell silent.
This might be one of the small talk moments when none of them became defensive and refused to even think about the past. Obviously, they had a lot of things to talk about.
Their relationship was not exactly in a normal perspective, but it worked for them. For the two, that was more important than anything.
Surely, a good opportunity would come. Their gazes landed on Ayen.
The necessary change they needed.
Back and forth seemed tiring, but one could get used to it. Khal and Devion were like that.
Ayen woke up almost at the same time as Aegi; almost three hours had passed. Devion and Khal had talked about the dungeon and the bizarre aspect of it while waiting.
After filling him in on what happened, Ayen looked intently at Aegi.
"Thank you, Aegi."
Aegi smiled shyly and blushed. Ayen always had this natural charm that made it easier for you to like him. It said something, as even two SS-class espers were captivated.
"Are we still in the dungeon?" Ayen asked Aegi, but he also glanced at the two espers.
Aegi was not too familiar with dungeons, so he did not answer.
"Yes," Khal confirmed. They were only pulled inside an independent space, but if they leave here, they would probably appear where they vanished.
"I see." Ayen nodded. He wanted to ask something else, but his attention was caught up by the two espers’ states.
"Let me guide you." Ayen could see the chaos around their wavelength. It was not too alarming, but for him, he was used to always seeing them in great condition.
Right. Khal and Devion were spoiled like that.
Then, he paused and glanced at Aegi, who met his gaze with his round eyes.
"But... only hand holding this time."
Khal and Devion both let out a light laugh. They nodded and held Ayen’s hand. They already expected it before Ayen suggested it. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Ayen did not immediately guide them. He glanced again at Aegi, who was watching them with curious eyes. He was used to guiding the two espers alone, and now someone was watching, and it was even a child. Ayen felt it was awkward.
While they were past the time when even hand-holding and guiding made them aroused, a guiding session was always an intimate subject for them.
"Aegi, are you allowed to leave when we’re here?" Ayen paused and thought that the child might mistake it as him not wanting to be there. "Or, you can play somewhere while we... talk about something."
Khal and Devion watched them amusingly. They could understand Ayen’s concern, but that did not stop them from wanting to laugh at his awkward expression.
"I can’t leave." Aegi shook his head. "But, I can, create a house!" The child probably thought that it was inconvenient since they were outside, just like last time when Ayen asked to enter the world one more time.
So, his first thought was to build a house.
Devion finally could not take it anymore and laughed.
"Dude, you’re hilarious." He poked Aegi’s cheek.
"Uhn? Hilarious?" Aegi was confused. He had no clue what was funny.
In the end, Ayen had no choice but to guide the two under Aegi’s watch. It was unfamiliar at first, but he soon adapted to it. As he said, after they used more intimate guiding sessions, hand-holding guiding did not give them intense sensations anymore.
Ayen was relieved when nothing embarrassing and inappropriate for the child happened. Devion and Khal were the same; hand-holding guiding sessions did not satisfy them anymore.
It was still a great feeling, no matter what, but their reactions were subdued.
This made Ayen relax. It seemed that if a situation was urgent enough, he could guide them out in the open.
In fact, this was normal at all. Most guiding sessions happened on the field. It was only an issue since they prefer intimate guiding sessions.
Devion finally took a deep breath. He felt like he was back at the peak again. Khal nodded, loosening the tension around his shoulders.
"Wow!" Aegi suddenly clapped, gaining their attention. "Big brother is amazing!" His eyes lit up; the wariness in his whole body had long since faded. Even his nervousness around Khal seemed to have vanished after a nap.
"Why do you think so?" Ayen clasped his hand, recovering to the sensation of the connection.
In Aegi’s eyes, they should only be holding hands and not talking for a while. How was that amazing?
"Hmmm, like, like..." Aegi struggled to say the words. "I don’t know, just amazing."
The three of them stared at Aegi before they looked at each other.
"Maybe he saw it." Ayen shrugged. Aegi was an anomaly, and he might have truly seen how their wavelengths connect.
Devion and Khal thought the same.
Now that they were in great condition again. They could finally talk about the Dungeon.
"Does staying here still have a time difference from outside?" Khal asked Aegi, who was sitting beside Ayen. At some point, Ayen took a biscuit and gave it to the child.
Aegi shook his head. "No. Same as outside."
The time difference only applied to the mana disturbance territory, which was the projection of the past.
Counting, they were already inside this space for about four hours. The longer they dragged it out, the less advantageous it might be to them.
Khal assumed they would appear where they vanished, which gave the other side plenty of time to plan. Of course, now they might be confused and have yet to confirm what happened.
He did not know if the space was stable enough to last for a few more hours, but it was impressive enough, as it could ignore space restrictions.
Devion glanced at him, and Khal began to plan what they should do.
What they didn’t have was information. The monster inside was unusual, with vortexes and waves. Although they had yet to know if they were the only enemies inside.
"I refuse to believe the vortex doesn’t have a weakness." Devion had encountered a lot of enemies; as long as they were creations of the dungeon, they always had mana cores.
The vortexes should also have one.
