The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 25: He teased her
"Young master!!!" Alix exclaimed in shock and stood up.
How could he!! she thought, in her mind.
Caishen chuckled and shook his head, it was such fun to tease her. He liked that her emotions and reactions were so easy to read. She was such an open book.
"What are you thinking?" he asked her.
"That I should stay away from you, ooh, you are such a dangerous man." she replied with a playfulness in her voice.
He turned his wheel chair around, but not before saying to her, "You really overthink things. I was looking at your fingers, you are not wearing the glove today."
She looked down at her fingers and smiled jubilant in her heart because she could feel them again. She had pinched them last night, flexed them as much as she could and kissed them a dozen times or so.
Even though the Pinches hurt, it was a sweet kind of pain because it meant her fingers were finally healing.
She grabbed the back of the wheelchair, touched his shoulder and opened her mouth. Whatever she was about to say got stuck because the manager of Qiyi stopped them.
"Young master, madam, please wait." she called out urgently.
Both of them turned around and looked at her questioningly. What was left to say?
"Young master, where do we send your purchases to?" she asked.
"My house." he answered.
Everything here was precious and expensive so to avoid damages or accidents, the company delivered the items themselves unless one insisted on going with them.
"Is it the blossom courts, young master?" she asked.
"Yes." he confirmed.
She bowed and left, then Caishen and Alix left the shop, taking the elevator back down.
The entire time, Alix was questioning why their purchase would be sent to the blossom courts. They were not residing there, maybe he had made a mistake.
"Caishen," she called him before they could take their separate ways.
Her driver was already here, having followed them to her parents villa and then the mall. Since he had things to do at the office, they were going in different directions.

"Mmm," he answered slowly.
"Did you give them the wrong address?" she asked.
He looked at her indolently and then looked at his watch. Then, he looked at her again and replied, "Blossom courts is where I live away from the family house.
It has already been a year since the accident and I am a married man now, it's time for me to move back to my house.
I already spoke to the elders of the family, you don't need to worry about anything.
Your things are already being sent to the house and your driver will bring you straight home in the evening, our home."
"Oh," she responded, in a low voice that he barely heard.
She was surprised by this news, he knew. He wondered what she was thinking as she bit her upper lip and frowned.
"Are you scared to live alone with me?" he asked her.
Alix shook her head vehemently, "Why should I be afraid," she asked. "Husband and wife should live alone together, it's only natural."
It would be a relief to be away from the watchful eye of his mother and the blistering tongue of his sister.
His brother and grand parents were fine, a bit nosy but not problematic.
Being alone with him worked out well for her and she would have more freedom and space to move around the house as she pleased.
"Yes, let's do it, let's live together." she told him confidently.
Caishen was curious about what had made her come to this determined conclusion but time was not his ally at this moment. He had to leave, he was running late already.
"I will see you at home." he told her.
"Me too. Have a great day at work, husband." she replied sweetly.
She waved as he left before going to her own car and being driven off.
In the car, with privacy, she logged into the game using her phone immediately.
"Quest, quest, quest, gimme, gimme, gimme questiee." she sung slowly.
"You are enjoying the game more and more." The system said to her.
"Of course, haven't you seen my fingers? It is so obvious that they are recovering well. It's probably why Caishen decided to move us both back to his house. I had no idea that he was monitoring the progress of my fingers closely." She spoke so certainly as she was so sure about it being reason behind the sudden move.
If you were in a desert and someone offered you water, you drunk it with greed and gratefulness. That was Caishen right now, the wheelchair was his desert and her mystery cure was the water.
He had confirmed for himself that the water was not poisonous and he was ready to get a taste.
She was in the town already, looking at the list of quests for the day.
"Ouuh, finally a quest that involves a fight. I have to face the red frog that lives in the hidden swamp, deliver five swamp grasses to the town chief and get the ultimate lucky item of this level. Does this mean I will finally level up to a more action filled world?" she asked the system.
"Oh, whatever, let's go kill that big bad froggie." She answered herself.
"Ho, you are so excited that you have not even noticed this is an all or nothing quest. Every player on level one must take on this quest, three have already gone ahead of you."
She had already purchased a map of this world, and a flying ostrich that she used for transportation.
Quickly, Alix flew to the hidden swamp, desperate to get there in time. If three people had gone ahead of her, surely a battle had already started.
She was right because the sound of incantations, explosions and a screech were heard coming from the direction of the swamp.
She started playing the flute, even before the ostrich came close to the massive red frog that was spitting corrosive poison.
She had acquired a hypnosis musical spell and practiced it on a violin, cello and flute. Of the three instruments, the flute was the easiest for her to use so she practiced morning, noon and night.
Even when she had gone to sleep at night, the tune had not faded from her mind.
This, she believed, would be a piece of cake for her.
Her fingers glided across the holes of the flute, she closed her eyes and allowed herself to drown in the hypnotic nature of the tune.
The closer she got to the red frog, the more white light surrounded her, casting a gentle luminescence on the tall green grass.
As if the swamp itself had awakened, the tall grass danced along to her tune, waving the tips of their blades like lithe dancers moving their soft waists.
In the midst of the swamp was a shimmering gold pillar of light, and in it's midst was a rotating box.
That, Alix knew, had to be the ultimate lucky prize of this level.
Only one could get it, and the competition was between herself, the elf, a paladin and an orc.
The frog collapsed backwards, landing in the swamp with a big splash.
All of her competitors noticed her finally, flying above them and weaving a song that had hypnotized even them.
"Stop her." The orc bellowed.
