These Dangerous Girls Placed Me Into Jeopardy-Chapter 5Vol 2. : Magic, Meng Fa
“Lillian, you wait here for me. I’ll go inside and look for the handkerchief. And, well, I might as well use the restroom too.”
When we reached the entrance to the restroom, I pulled my arm out from between Lillian’s breasts. Lillian tilted her head innocently and asked me with a sweet, clueless expression.
“Are you sure you don’t want me to go in with you?”
I furrowed my brows, utterly baffled, and asked her back,
“What exactly do you plan to do inside?”
“To keep you company while you pee, of course. Chengjun, don’t you always need someone to hold it for you so you can let it out? As your girlfriend, I feel it’s my duty to take on that role.”
“I don’t have such a perverted habit, alright?!”
“But that photo... Oh, wait. Are you saying that little sister of yours was actually jerking you off? I thought that was just some maliciously edited image by the maid, but turns out it was real?”
“Shut up! Don’t ever bring up that photo again!”
That damned photo is undoubtedly the most humiliating black mark of my life! Especially now that it’s fallen into the hands of the worst possible person, leaving me with no choice but to endure her relentless teasing and bow down to her whims...
Damn it! It’s so frustrating!
If I ever get a hold of her weakness, I swear I’ll turn her inside out and mess with her thoroughly!
Perhaps sensing that I was about to blow up, Lillian stopped her taunting.
“Hehehe, fine. I’ll head back and wait for you then.”
Watching her leave with that “innocent” expression plastered on her face, I felt like all the strength had drained from my body. It was so infuriating to be unable to release my pent-up frustration.
“What’s the point of following me all the way here...?”
“I was afraid you’d get lonely~”
Lillian blinked her eyes playfully, then suddenly stepped forward and hugged me, pressing her cheek against my chest and rubbing against me like a kitten.
“Hurry back, okay? Every second you’re away from me, it feels like a needle is stabbing my heart~”
Oh, then your heart must be riddled with holes by now.
I placed my hands on her shoulders, pushed her away, and replied, “Got it.” Then, I walked into the restroom. Lillian waved at me before turning to head back to the classroom.
“Hah...”
Standing in front of the sink, I looked at myself in the mirror and couldn’t help but let out a long sigh.
I feel like I’ve been sighing a lot more recently. Must be because of all the frustration building up in my chest with nowhere to vent it.
Every time, she controls the conversation. Every time, she finds new ways to tease me. If this keeps up, she’s going to toy with me to the ✪ Nоvеlіgһt ✪ (Official version) point where I won’t even know how I died.
I guess I’ll have to start being more assertive from now on.
It’s all because of my passive nature. I’ve never really had much experience dealing with girls, and I’ve always lowered my stance around my sisters... That’s why I’m now in such a weak position.
Yeah. That’s it.
I need to toughen up.
Take control of the conversation!
Splashing some cold water on my cheeks, I made up my mind. From now on, I won’t let her walk all over me. I need to make a change!
I looked around the sink area but couldn’t find the handkerchief. Looks like someone must have taken it.
Ah... So it’s really gone. Two whole periods have passed; it was only to be expected that someone would pick it up. It’s not surprising that I couldn’t find it.
But... that handkerchief had Lillian’s drool on it... and the thought of someone else using it to wipe their hands...
A strange, uncomfortable feeling welled up in my chest.
Huh? Why am I feeling this way?
Could it be that I actually like her?
Wait, so the one whose heart is getting stabbed over and over again is actually me?
My mind was a tangled mess...
I was already frustrated, and realizing this only made me even more agitated. It felt like admitting that I’d fallen for Lillian Ji would mean losing to her in every possible way.
I shook my head, trying to clear away the muddled thoughts, then headed toward the urinals. Standing there, I undid my belt, ready to relieve myself.
That’s when someone grabbed my shoulder.
A sinister voice echoed from behind.
“You’re Ethan An, right?”
The guy forcefully spun me around, pulling me to face him. But at that exact moment, I had been just about to let go, so...
“Shit!!! What the hell?! My pants! Goddammit! Gross!!”
I quickly twisted back around, trying to finish what was left in my bladder. While zipping up my pants, I muttered,
“Uh... sorry... Wait, no. This isn’t my fault. You’re the one who grabbed me while I was peeing!”
“You bastard! You’ve got some nerve, don’t you... huh?!”
“...”
Wait... this guy... Isn’t he from my class?
Brown hair, obnoxious haircut that screams “cheap delinquent,” covered in earrings, necklaces, and rings — the whole “wannabe thug” vibe.
Oh right. This guy is Meng Fa.
“You got a problem with me, huh?! Is that why you’re making that face?!”
Dude, no matter how hard you glare at me, I’m not going to start trembling like a scared rabbit. Do I look like some weak, sniveling animal to you?
Compared to Lillian’s genuinely terrifying “murderous smile,” this guy’s wannabe tough act is like comparing a child with a toy knife to an actual serial killer.
“Hey! Stop daydreaming and look at me!”
“Oh. Sorry.”
Snapped back to reality, I blankly looked at the wannabe delinquent in front of me.
If I remember correctly, his title is [Mage Master]. Could he actually use magic?
“What do you want with me?”
Meng Fa raised an eyebrow.
“I’m talking about Lillian Ji. You get it now, right?”
“Hah...”
Well, I had expected a scene like this to happen sooner or later, but to have it occur in the restroom, in the most cliché way possible...
“What the hell’s with that sigh?! You looking down on me?!”
No, it’s just... I really thought this kind of outdated cliché only happened in manga. Didn’t expect to encounter a real-life “bathroom confrontation over a girl.”
So now he’s going to say something like, “Stay away from Lillian Ji,” or “A guy like you doesn’t deserve to be near her,” or “If you know what’s good for you, scram,” right?
But what he said next completely defied my expectations.
“Don’t think just because you’ve got a girlfriend, you’re some kind of winner in life! You bastard! I’m telling you, you’re going to get dumped sooner or later!”
“Uh... what?”
I frowned deeply, completely thrown off by his sudden outburst.
“I was going to ask you nicely for some advice, but now you’ve pissed your pants all over me... You owe me!”
“Hey, it’s not like I did it on purpose! You’re the one who grabbed me!”
“I don’t care! You still owe me!”
Are you a child or what?!
“Fine! I won’t ask for compensation. Just tell me your secret for becoming popular with girls!”
Oh, so that’s what this is about...
Looks like that “Mage Master” title was just a sarcastic jab at him being a virgin. This guy must’ve seen me with Lillian Ji and assumed I had some secret trick to attracting women.
But I don’t have the kind of skills that some hentai protagonist would have...
“I don’t know any secret to being popular.”
Meng Fa grabbed my collar, shaking me with such force that his spit sprayed all over my face.
“Liar! I’ve been watching you since last Friday! Ever since Lillian Ji confessed to you, you’ve suddenly had girls flocking around you! It’s like you suddenly turned into a harem protagonist!”
What...? Since when was I suddenly so popular...?
Wait. Is this all because of that magic circle that got drilled into my head?
This is all Lillian’s fault...
“I think Ms. Yang in the library might be able to help you.”
“Don’t try to brush me off so easily! What could that woman possibly help me with?!”
I turned my head to the side and wiped the spit off my face with a helpless expression.
“If you don’t believe me, then there’s nothing I can do. I really don’t know anything.”
“That’s not magic! Then how the hell did you get so popular?! Obviously, this great me is way more handsome than you, but you, this plain little nobody, are somehow more popular than I am! How is that fair?!”
Wow. This guy is seriously full of himself.
And he actually thinks he’s handsome? With that ridiculous hairstyle, he’s basically knocked his rating down to below average. I mean, who even likes that tacky punk look anymore? Unless the girl’s got a screw loose, no one would go for that.
“Fine, if you won’t tell me, then I’ll just check it out for myself! Don’t move!”
“Huh?”
Meng Fa suddenly reached out his large hand and pressed it against the top of my head. And then...
Well, nothing happened.
“What the hell are you doing?”
“Huh? You...”
The overly loud and brash Meng Fa suddenly fell silent. He stared at me with a look of shock, as if he’d just discovered a new continent.
“What is it?”
“No, it’s nothing. It’s just... you’re... hmm, you’re actually kind of charming.”
Hearing a guy say something like that made my entire face scrunch up in disgust. A wave of nausea bubbled up from my stomach.
“Even if you’re hopeless when it comes to women, don’t go turning to men, okay? Just so you know, I have zero interest in guys.”
Meng Fa choked on his own spit and coughed violently. He flipped me off with his middle finger and snapped,
“Cough, cough! Who the hell is interested in men?! Even if you were cross-dressing, I still wouldn’t be into you!”
“Then what’s with the middle finger, huh?”
Should I believe what you’re saying or the not-so-subtle gesture you’re making right now?
“Cough, cough! It means ‘screw you!’”
“Heh...”
This guy is actually pretty amusing.
Now I think I’m starting to understand why Lillian likes teasing me so much — because messing with people is actually really fun.
“Damn it, you’re really confusing me now! Anyway, I’m a ma—cough, a divination master, okay?! Just now, I did a reading for you and discovered that you’re in the middle of a peach blossom luck streak.”
Wait. Divination and fortune-telling are not the same thing, right?
And even if it were, since when does a reading involve touching someone’s head?
Yeah, he’s definitely making this up.
“They say a person has three periods in their life when they’re at the peak of their romantic luck. You’re clearly in your first peak right now!”
“Peach blossom luck, huh...”
More like peach blossom disaster.
I don’t feel like I’ve been particularly lucky lately. Ever since meeting Lillian Ji, it’s been one calamity after another.
“Damn it, I’m so jealous! I also wanna be surrounded by pretty girls and be all lovey-dovey with them!”
“...”
This guy really doesn’t hold back at all.
Overall, he seems like a straightforward person. Even though his appearance is a bit rough and his demeanor is obnoxious, he doesn’t seem to have any real ill intentions.
“Oh well. I did get something out of this, so I’ll let it go. Anyway, the name’s Meng Fa. We’re in the same class.”
“Oh. I’m Ethan An...”
“I know. Anyway, that’s it. If I waste any more time, I won’t have time to eat lunch. Bye-bye! And next time, you’d better tell me the secret to getting popular!”
After saying that, Meng Fa waved his hand and walked out of the restroom.
What a guy. He came in like a whirlwind and left just as quickly.
Just as he was about to leave, I noticed that his pants were completely dry.
Oh ho... so that’s what being a Mage Master is about, huh?
