This Insane Demon Lord wants a normal life-Chapter 29: Summit Arc(14)
[An hour ago....]
**
The forest floor was a scene of utter devastation, the trees splintered and shattered, their branches tangled and twisted.
As if a tempest had torn through the woods, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
The air was heavy with the scent of blood and sweat, the trees seeming to loom over the scene like sentinels.
Their branches creaking ominously in the wind.
In the midst of the devastation, a single corpse lay sprawled on the ground, it’s body broken and battered.
It’s face twisted in a grimace of pain and death.
Cassie had already altered her form, reverting back to her humaniod form.
Twenty minutes was all it took.
And the Assasin code named Vulture was left drenched in his own pool of bloods.
Killed by the beasts of the Demon Lord Zephyr.
Both Ramposa and Cassie stood over the Vulture’s corpse, his relic laid right beside him.
Even if the contractor’s dead. His sacrificed soul remains as the relic’s direct ego.
The contract it had with Vulture was already broken with his death.
The carriage’s door creaked opened.
Craig emerged from the carriage with a fluid motion. His long coat unfolding around him like a dark cloak.
As he stepped down onto the ground with a quiet thud.
The attention of his wives drifted towards his direction.
And their faces beamed with smiles.
But none of them left where they stood, after Craig was coming to them.
Craig exhaled a deep sigh.
He covered the distance between himself and his wives. His movements came to a halt, his eyes squinted.
He glared down at the corpse of the Assasin Vulture.
"Master....master, how did we do? Did we make you happy?"
Cassie asked with a giggle.
Craig nodded.
"Yes you did. You girls made me quite I must say" He whispered.
"So will you keep to your promise?" Cassie asked.
She bit her lips seductively.
"Y’ll let us suck your dick right?"
She added with a giggle.
"Sure, a deal is a deal after all" Craig answered. He watched as Cassie danced around excitedly.
He returned his gaze back to the corpse of Vulture.
Craig knelt down with one knee beside the corpse, his movements were slow and deliberate.
His eyes fixed on the lifeless form before him, as if studying it with a mixture of curiosity and emotions.
"Hmmmm....."
"The fact that Vulture was able to properly stand his ground until now should be thanks to the S ranked relic"
"He’s only an expert level player capable of controlling the depths of an S ranked relic"
Craig muttered.
His brows furrowed as he continued....
"It would have been better if someone like him joined my nation. But I guess an assasin of his level would never comply"
"The dead will remain dead...the living must continue the journey of life"
He whispered, he rolled his eyes.
He glanced at the S-ranked relic laid beside the corpse of Vulture. Craig stretched forth his hand, he grabbed the relic.
His eyes squinted.
Just then the system’s window spawned before his eyes.
It’s shimmering light overwhelmed his face.
[Notice.....]
[You’ve come in contact with an S-rank relive: the Rattlefoot]
[Would you like to bond with it?]
[Yes] [No]
Craig squinted his eyes.
"Would I like to bond with it?" Craig repeated the question.
"Fuck no"
"I just awakened a new soul and I have no ide what it is. I have no reason to sacrifice my soul to creat a bond"
Craig said.
He tightened his grip on the cowboy hand cannon he fiercely gripped.
"And besides I won’t be able to properly control it since it’s not something I’m focused on at the monent"
Craig added.
He exhaled a deep sigh, gently standing up from his knees.
"I’ll take this relic back home and it will be given to a soldier worthy enough and powerf enough to control its powers"
"For now, we need to leave this place"
Craig stated. He tilted his gaze.
Cassie was still seen dancing out, the explicit thoughts of sucking Craig flooded her mind and that made her extremely excited.
Enjoy the flow.
Ramposa remained by the side of Craig. She controlled her excitement while observing everything with folded arms.
Her eyes squinted.
"My master. I know you’ll forbid me but humans do not deserve compassion and love, they’re hateful even to themselves"
Ramposa voiced out.
"Even after sending an invitation. They still sent assasins to take you out, aren’t they a bit hypocritical?"
She asked.
Craig glanced at her, he couldn’t help but smile at her words.
He giggled softly.
"Well you might have a point Ramposa but humans are complex. Filled with countless emotions"
"Love, anger, hatred and many more.....greed and envy exist in the heart of all races not only humans"
"But humans feel more than any human could possibly imagine"
"That’s what makes them unique. They’re fragile yet willed"
Craig said but Ramposa scoffed at his words.
She shrugged her shoulders.
"Strong willed my foot, they’re just useless insects that’s all. Fragile insignificant creatures"
Ramposa cursed out.
Craig exhaled a soft sigh.
"Ramposa. You must learn you subdue this deep hatred you have with humans, we’re in their lands as guests"
"This assasins wasn’t sent by the Raine Kingdom whose invitation I honored. Someone else sent them"
"And we’re going to figure it out"
Craig stated.
Ramposa sighed in defeat.
"Well I guess I’ll need to believe in your words again but let’s say hypothetically. If the entirety of the western rulers decides to wage war on you?"
"What if you walk into the conference hall and they decides you must die there"
"What would you do?"
Ramposa questioned.
Craig’s gaze darkened. His eyebrows furrowed and his pupils dilated. Craig had already thought about it.
"Don’t worry Ramposa. Out of the countless possibilities of events"
"That has already been listed. Let’s say the chances of something like that happening is seventy percent"
Craig said.
Ramposa’s brows curled up.
"Seventy percent? And do you have any contingency plans if such were to happen?"
Ramposa asked.
Craig’s lips curled up to a knowing grin. Without uttering a single word, he made his way back to the carriage as Ramposa watches.
Her eyes squinted.
"You have a plan don’t you?" She questioned.
Craig giggled.
"That’s a question I cannot answer for now, but there’s one thing you should know, if such a case were to occur"
"Be prepared to slaughter a lot of humans"
Ramposa watched as Craig went straight into the carriage. Still holding onto the relic he took from the dead Vulture.
Ramposa shivered in excitement.
Her eyes flickered as she chuckled evilly. An unearthly light tore through the air, sending shockwaves into the atmosphere.
"He-he-he-he-he-he-he-he....."
"I don’t know what the master is planning but I’m already looking forward to the Summit" She giggled.
"Let’s see if there will be peace or if I’ll have my hands stained with the bloods of humans"

Fate’s order came as a shock to Craig. He was left in a state of confusion, with loads of thoughts flooding his mind.
Watching the task evidently displayed on the virtual panel floating before his eyes.
He squinted his eyes.
"Wasn’t Fate the one who asked me secure a future for my nation with diplomacy? Wasn’t Fate the one who barred me from any violent acts?"
"What’s going on here? What’s Fate up to?"
He questioned.
"Tch" Craig silent growled.
"If I’m to declare hostility to the rulers of the western states. Am I permitted to use force when my life’s threatened?"
Craig asked.
[No.....]
[The existence of the Demon Lord Zephyr must not be revealed under any circumstances, if you’re identity is exposed prior to the designated arc]
[You’ll be deleted from the game]
Pandora warned.
Craig’s eyes widened. Completely stunned by what was revealed to him.
His face froze, his features arrested in a look of stunned amazement, his eyes bulging with incredulity.
He couldn’t believe what he was seeing or hearing.
"The fuck?"
