Charlotte saw that Old Chen had already reached out his hand towards her, and she slightly dodged.

"It’s too late for regrets now." Old Chen snorted coldly and wanted to continue his actions.

But Charlotte placed her toe against Old Chen’s knee, stopping him from taking another step forward.

"No, can you untie me? It really hurts being bound like this." Charlotte moved her bound arms, showing the two kidnappers her wrists which had been chafed red.

The two exchanged a glance; Old Chen hesitated, but the other kidnapper was not as unsure.

"Then untie her; she can’t run under our noses anyway."

Upon hearing this, Old Chen loosened the rope binding Charlotte’s arms.

Charlotte smiled broadly and, in the next second, kicked Old Chen hard in the groin. As he bent over in pain, Charlotte wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled back tightly.

Charlotte’s sudden move startled both of them. The other kidnapper had just lit a cigarette when he witnessed this scene.

Frightened, he immediately wanted to grab Charlotte, but he didn’t expect someone to press down on the back of his neck, causing his head to hit the box beside him directly.

With a thud, the man passed out instantly.

"Brazen as a bear and bold as a leopard."

Annie Anne had somehow already freed herself. She looked at the kidnapper who was unconscious on the box and seemed dissatisfied, picking up a bottle from the ground and smashing it hard on his occiput.

Meanwhile, Charlotte had also made Old Chen, the kidnapper, pass out, though unlike Annie Anne, Charlotte had used every ounce of her strength. She let go and exhaled deeply.

"Charlotte, are you okay?" Annie Anne asked Charlotte worriedly upon seeing the situation.

"It’s a good thing I learned some self-defense techniques from Fifth Brother before, otherwise I might not have been able to subdue him just now."

Charlotte flexed her somewhat stiff arms and finally jumped down from the box, then watched Annie Anne tuck her blade back into her watch, with a complicated look in her eyes.

Earlier, she had purposely drawn the attention of the two kidnappers so Annie Anne could take the chance to use her blade to cut through the rope.

"What do we do now?"

Even though Charlotte and Annie Anne had subdued the two kidnappers, they didn’t relax at all.

"Let’s get out of here quickly while they haven’t noticed."

Say that, Charlotte pointed to a nearby window. The two prepared to leave quickly from there, but unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned, and footsteps could be heard outside the warehouse at this moment.

Panic showed on the faces of both Charlotte and Annie Anne, but Charlotte still removed the fence outside the window. Yet she didn’t choose to escape through it with Annie Anne; instead, they quickly hid in a corner, making themselves inconspicuous.

Soon after, the warehouse door was opened, and the scene inside elicited a harsh curse from the intruder.

"Those two idiots, how could they let someone get away! Go after them immediately!"

If someone saw the wide-open warehouse window, they would naturally assume that Annie Anne and Charlotte had escaped through it.
