Chapter 1814: Chapter 1814: Tampering

"Damn it!"

Justin Battleson had never thought someone could manipulate things right under his nose.

Immediately, Justin notified Michael Richard, instructing him to send people to seal off all the exits of the hospital, ensuring no one could leave.

The children also realized something bad had happened. Cyrus Thompson quickly moved to stand by Justin’s side and began swiping on his tablet.

"Phone, I can find mommy’s phone location."

"Vincent, that doctor uncle!"

Suddenly, Olivia Thompson spoke up, catching Justin’s attention.

"Annie, what did you say?" Justin’s eyes slightly narrowed at Olivia’s mention of the name.

"It might really be Uncle Vincent. He came to see mommy... but, but I don’t know..."

Olivia was a bit flustered.

This caused her to struggle with her words, yet in her mind, Olivia’s impression of Vincent had already undergone a drastic change.

Olivia didn’t know why she suddenly thought of Vincent, but this strange intuition was growing stronger.

"Found it!"

Cyrus chimed in at this moment, enlarging the coordinates on the computer until they were displayed before Justin.

"Mommy’s phone is here, and this place... is indeed Uncle Vincent’s office."

The children had been to Vincent’s office before, so they knew the exact location.

Seeing Charlotte Thompson’s phone had been found, Justin dared not delay and hurried to Vincent’s office.

However, the office was now empty, with only Charlotte’s phone shattered on the floor.

Clearly, Justin had arrived too late.

...

Charlotte, taken away by Vincent, gradually awakened from her coma.

A wave of nausea immediately surged, making Charlotte furrow her brows uncomfortably.

Charlotte wanted to move but found her wrists bound by chains, the other end attached to the bedhead.

The room she was in wasn’t large, mostly occupied by a bed, and the unfamiliar environment had already set off alarms in her mind.

Where had she been taken while she was unconscious?

Charlotte propped herself up on the bed, but the chains on her wrists restricted her movement, confining her to the area around the bed.

The room had only a small window, which Charlotte couldn’t reach, leaving her unable to see the outside environment.

Just then, voices came from outside the door, drawing Charlotte’s attention.

"Why did a problem suddenly arise? Wasn’t everything already arranged?"

Vincent’s voice rang out, and Charlotte immediately held her breath, listening intently to every word he said.

"I told you before, don’t get involved with that little star, do you realize you’ve delayed my major plans!"

"But fortunately, they won’t be able to find us right away. We should avoid contact for now; there’s a backup plan, and I don’t want her too fatigued..."

Charlotte tried to move closer to the door, but footsteps suddenly approached.

The door was abruptly opened, and though Charlotte reacted swiftly, she could only retreat a step and sit back on the bed.
