Thrown Into A New World: Let The Punishment Begin!-Chapter 938
Chapter 938: Unwelcomed Guest
Another five months had passed after Yvonne had initiated her plan to integrate CLOVER into the noble market.
A lot had transpired over the course of these last few months, some of which were according to what the daughter of the St. Claire family was hoping for whereas there were many others that she had not anticipated in the least bit.
Right now, Yvonne was seated in a room on the ground floor towards a secluded area of their mansion as she sipped the warm tea her maid, Roselie, had brought for her.
“Why are you even here today?” An indignant voice slipped out of her mouth once her lips parted from the cup.
The person seated opposite her, accompanying her during this impromptu tea time rolled their eyes but did not care to reply.
Among the numerous unexpected incidents that occurred in her life during these last few months, this person’s regular appearance at her mansion was one which she had least expected and even desired.
However, no matter how many times she had tried to chase them away, all of her efforts were in vain as they kept coming back every chance they found.
.....
“Shouldn’t you be going back to meet your mother first? She must be awaiting your return!” She repeated, in hopes of getting the message across.
‘I don’t want you here right now so leave!’ The thoughts in her mind were evident thanks to the displeasure reflecting in his furrowed brows and narrowed amethyst eyes.
Nevertheless, this did not hinder the one who continued to sip the cup of tea in leisure as though her words did not reach his ears.
“Are you sure you should be addressing your Queen in this way?” The young boy with bright blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes smirked while questioning her.
Yvonne, for a brief moment, froze when she was reminded of the fact that the person she was referring to was the Queen of this land.
However, in the next second, she tilted her head and smiled back innocently.
“Is the Prince implying that the Queen is not your mother?” She retorted, maintaining that sweet smile that now wiped away the Prince’s smirk.
Right now, the person seated opposite her in this room was none other than Prince Fritzen, the sole heir of the King of Rosenhyde.
She wasn’t sure how it had happened but for the last few months, this young prince had become a frequent visitor to the St. Claire mansion.
Their first encounter in her mansion took place a month or so after the King’s birthday celebration.
While every boy studying at the Royal Academy was supposed to reside in the dormitories provided, this Prince had special privileges due to his status.
Though he had to remain in the Academy during the weekdays, he was free to return to the Capital during the weekends.
Yvonne and many other nobles residing in Amarthea were unaware of this fact as the current whereabouts and the schedules of the Royals had always been kept confidential to ensure their safety.
Therefore, even she as well as her parents were stunned to find this guest in their mansion.
One fine day, Butler Limo announced that an unknown carriage had entered their estate.
It was Rutherford who had gone out to check who this stranger was while his wife and child were busy with their personal matters.
Yvonne was busy dealing with CLOVER’s matters in the room on the same floor as her bedroom which she had transformed into a makeshift office for herself.
This was also where Jax had been spending a majority of his day for the same reason.
Therefore, when the Earl had summoned her downstairs through a maid, she was about to head out along with her butler.
However, the maid later informed them that the Master had forbidden Jax from stepping out of the room.
Perplexed at this sudden restriction, Yvonne tried to decipher what her father was up to but failed.
Therefore, she could only follow the maid before asking Jax to stay behind and obey the Earl’s command.
This was because she had just received a brief message from her father through their mental link, urging her to hurry downstairs while also instructing her to heed his words.
Yvonne’s confusion only rose higher but she did not forget to follow his advice and rushed downstairs soon after.
Thanks to this haste, once the little girl reached the Parlor she realized why her father had given her such mysterious instructions.
The one seated in the Parlor with both the Earl and Countess present was the same Prince who was now seated right before her.
In the beginning, Prince Fritzen only stopped by on alternate Saturdays.
On his way back from the Royal Academy, he would first stop by the St. Claire mansion to have tea with her before he would head on to the Palace located only a couple of minutes away from her residence.
She wasn’t sure if the rest of the Royal family was aware of his strange behavior but she never inquired about it.
In these last months, she had met this unwelcomed Prince well over the amount she was comfortable with.
Even now she had not yet deciphered what his motives for appearing before her so frequently were.
After all, all he did was appear unannounced and leave once he had tea with her.
It was clear that Rutherford wasn’t too pleased with these incidents but there was nothing he could do as the person in question was a member of the Royal family.
Even objecting to it would need a valid and strong reason which he did not possess right now so the Earl had reluctantly remained silent and allowed the Prince to enter and exit his estate as the young boy pleased.
Each time Prince Fritzen arrived, it was obvious that Jax had to stay out of his sight if he did not wish to be recognized by this Prince. f𝘳e𝒆w𝗲𝐛𝘯𝐨νe𝚕.co𝓶
This was due to the fact that her butler had already debuted in the noble market as ‘J’, VC’s right-hand man and second-in-command at CLOVER.
The name was something he had come up with himself and stuck to it despite Yvonne’s constant persuasion to get more creative with it.
He always stated that VC and J could just be their acronyms used as aliases and there was no further reason to waste time thinking about it as it made perfect sense to him.
Therefore, she could only give up as this was the name he wished to be addressed with.
One of the aspects that had gone according to her plans in these past months was CLOVER’s successful entry into the noble market.
Thanks to this, both the owner and the second-in-command had been excessively busy these last few months.
Therefore, the arrival of the Prince which disrupted her work hours further infuriated the young girl.
“Mother must be busy with Felly anyway.” The culprit shrugged as he spoke up, dragging Yvonne out of her thoughts.
She had to admit that a lot of unexpected events had occurred in these last six months.
If Prince Fritzen’s constant appearance was something she had never predicted then the current relationship between the Queen and Princess Felicia was on the same level as it.
For a few months now, there had been constant chatter among the nobles that the Queen had changed her attitude toward her daughter.
The indifference she earlier exhibited while dealing with her second born was an open secret in their noble society but no one ever talked about to avoid scrutiny.
However, many had heard that something had changed in the past months.
Many different versions of the same story were available but Yvonne, who was privy to inside information through various sources was confident of what the real truth was.
Earlier she only had her tutor, Marquess Samed who happened to be the Royal tutor teaching the Princess and her playmates within the Palace.
However, now she had two more trustworthy sources who could give her more information than what even Marquess Samed was privy to.
One of them was Aleena Kiron, the elder sister of Rika, the Princess’ playmate who also happened to be her good friend.
Whereas, the second and most unexpected one was none other than the guest who showed up at her mansion to enjoy his free tea each time he returned to the Capital.
“What do you mean she is busy with the Princess?” Yvonne inquired, engaging in conversation though just a few seconds ago, she was trying to send him away.
