Giant slayer

This new bloodline sounded powerful even though he couldn’t see it name, it was obviously focused more on perception and mana.

A mage type bloodline he figured, the increase in spirit meant more mana and more sensitivity to mana which he was already feeling.

The increase to his will made it easier for him to control his mana as well, he tested it by strengthening his hand.

While the mana was not visible he could feel it around his fist like a gauntlet. The enhancement wasn’t stronger than before but it was faster.

After checking what he could he decided to rest, the rain continued falling outside. He had overdrawn his mana and felt exhausted.

He slept for hours and woke up after the sun had long fallen. The rain was falling even harder now.

Thunder roared in the sky and flashes of lightning brought some lights onto the dark city.

He looked outside and saw the corpse of the scorpion. His stomach growled, he thought about and sighed.

" What the worst that could happen." He dragged the scorpion back inside it and cooked it, but he tried to use echoes of old first but nothing happened.

He lit up a fire, the building had large pots probably to cook some chemicals. He didn’t care, he found a cleaner pots.

Water was still running so he filled the pots with water. Unfortunately he didn’t have salt so he boiled the scorpion with plain water.

That thing was huge and heavy, he was forced to cut it up using his sword, he still needed to use mana to be able to.

Fortunately after dying it was no longer as hard so it didn’t take too much effort to cut it up and cook it.

After eating he decided to train, he could hear fighting and monsters roaring outside, he ignored all of it and locked the large door from the inside.

He moved some machines, they were incredibly heavy but after enhancing his arms with mana he was able to drag them across the floor.

After opening space he placed a target 30 metres away which was near the other end of the building.

He had lost all of his arrows so he wanted to level up mana arrow. He drew his bow and mana gathered forming an arrow.

It took around 3.8 seconds for the arrow to form which was faster than before. However it still took too long.

He wanted to be able to form an arrow in a second at the very least. He released his bow and the arrow broke the sound barrier.

He knew it broke the sound barrier but it barely created any sonic booms at all, it was as if it cleanly pierced through the air itself.

It pierced through the target which was a metal pole. It drilled a hole through the entire 30 cm thick pole.

The arrow was not as fast as a bullets but it certainly had more power. Even an armour piercing bullet did not have this much penetrative power.

He continued shooting more arrows until he ran out of mana then he rested and continued training again.

The more he trained the faster he was able to form mana arrows. ( Mana arrow has reached level 7

As a common skill, leveling mana arrow was easier than the other skills. He had been training for a few hours yet it had already reached level 7.

By now he was able to form an arrow in only 1.4 seconds. It was fast but not fast enough in his opinion.

However now he was stuck, no matter how much he trained he couldn’t feel even the slightest progress.

However the positive thing was that, the rate at which he created arrows was not the only thing to improve, he needed less mana to form an arrow now.

He decided to sleep, he was woken up by sunlight piercing through the windows. He woke up and ate the last of the scorpion meat.

As large as it was it didn’t actually have that much meat, it was mostly just it thick armour.

While eating he noticed there was something different. The rain was gone and sunlight was shining on him from above.

He looked up and saw thick black root piercing through the roof. ’ What the fuck.’

He climbed to the second floor and looked out the window and what he saw shook him. The world outside was a thick forest.

He grabbed his sword and bow and climbed up the roots above him. On the roof of the building grew a large three standing at 4 metres tall with a thick trunk.

The tree had red leafs, he looked around and the entire city had turned into a thick forest. The ground had overgrown grass taller than a fully grown man.

Vines grew around the tall buildings, some lost their structural integrity and fell, however there was more.

The forest was not the only thing, more gates opened around the city spewing out monsters.

A giant shadow passed above him, Akaris felt a terrifying aura from it and hid beneath the tree.
