Tiny Genius Alert! Mom & Dad Better Make Peace-Chapter 342 - 331: When a Woman Does Such a Thing
In the past, although Fang Jingyi and Rong Mochen’s relationship was not harmonious, it was still passable on the surface.
But in recent years, due to Jin Jumo, Rong Mochen not only cut off the mother-daughter relationship with her for Jin Jumo.
Last time, he even went to her door to threaten and warn her personally!
After all, Rong Mochen is her own son. She hates it, she’s dissatisfied, but what can she do? She can’t truly abandon him, nor can she truly hate him!
So when all this dissatisfaction and resentment cannot be vented on Rong Mochen, they have to be transferred to other things or people.
And Jin Jumo, accidentally, became the recipient of all Fang Jingyi’s grievances!
Because Fang Jingyi feels that the reason her relationship with Rong Mochen is getting worse is all because of Jin Jumo.
Therefore, Fang Jingyi’s hatred for Jin Jumo is not only because she thinks Jin Jumo’s character is poor and her personal life is undisciplined, but also because the conflicts with Rong Mochen have intensified over the years.
Fang Jingyi feels that the disharmony in her relationship with Rong Mochen now is all because of Jin Jumo, but she never thought that it is all the results she reaped from the seeds she planted!
Maybe she understands it in her heart, but she just refuses to admit it, or she just doesn’t feel it!
Hearing Fang Jingyi speak about Jin Jumo in this way, Liang Yi’s expression was almost numb.
Fang Jingting looked at her sister’s twisted and angry face, hesitated, and swallowed her throat, glancing at the servant standing aside who wanted to step forward to clean up the teapot and cups but looked hesitant.
The servant approached in trepidation, cleaned up at the fastest speed, and then quickly fled the scene.
For nearly twenty minutes, Fang Jingyi had yet to completely calm down from her anger.
Taking two deep breaths, Fang Jingyi, with a voice full of emotion, stared at Liang Yi and asked, "Are you sure Gu Yaoqin was really taken away by Mochen?"
Liang Yi nodded, "I’m sure."
Fang Jingyi was so angry her face was distorted, and every word she uttered trembled, "The dignified president of Rong Group doing such a thing for a woman, really, good, good!"
Tears welled up in Liang Yi’s eyes again. She wiped her eyes and choked, "Actually, President Rong was also bewitched. I believe President Rong didn’t really want to do that."
Fang Jingyi glanced at Liang Yi. Her haggard face and swollen eyes seemed to remind her that the reason for her becoming so wretched now was all thanks to her son.
The momentary surge of pity and guilt in her heart made Fang Jingyi’s expression even worse.
These feelings she could have avoided if it weren’t for Jin Jumo, she wouldn’t have felt indebted to Liang Yi!
Fang Jingyi tightened her lips, her voice deep, "Which mental hospital is Yiyi at now?"
"At Lanqi."
Liang Yi immediately said, looking at Fang Jingyi with anticipation, "Jingyi, it’s okay that the Gu Family is gone, it’s okay that I have nothing, I just want Yiyi to be well.
I beg you, you must help me save Yiyi, help me rescue Yiyi from that place, I really have no other request, I just want my daughter."
Also being mothers, Fang Jingyi and Fang Jingting could somehow empathize with Liang Yi’s current state of mind, and because they could, Fang Jingyi’s guilt towards Liang Yi would become thicker and heavier.
"Don’t worry. Since I know the truth, I won’t ignore it. After all, this matter was done by Mochen."
When Fang Jingyi said this, her brows furrowed even tighter, and her expression was also solemn, "I will go to Lanqi tomorrow to bring Yiyi out. After that, I will find Mochen to ask clearly about your husband’s whereabouts. If he is still in his hands, I will definitely make him release him. As for the losses your Gu Family suffered this time, I will also take responsibility to the end."
Fang Jingting, "..."
She glanced sideways at Fang Jingyi, her eye corner twitched, her mind filled with various subtexts!
Liang Yi shook her head, "I don’t care about other things. I just hope Yiyi can quickly return to my side."
Fang Jingyi frowned.
The night before, being relentlessly tormented by someone in bed, Jin Jumo, true to expectations, slept in till midday the next morning.
Just washed and came out of the bathroom, she received a call from an unfamiliar number.
Upon answering, apart from the slender breathing on the other end, there was a long silence.
Jin Jumo asked a few questions, but the other end remained silent.
Feeling puzzled, Jin Jumo looked at the phone and found that the number didn’t seem to be from domestic...
Skeptically pursing her lips, Jin Jumo put the phone back to her ear again and said, "If you don’t speak, I’m going to hang up."
In response to Jin Jumo, there was a busy tone from the other end, indicating the call had been disconnected first.
Jin Jumo put down the phone and stared at the dark phone screen, looking confused.
After a while, Jin Jumo shook her head. Just as she was about to put down the phone and go to the dressing room to change clothes, unexpectedly, the phone rang again.
Jin Jumo thought it was the person who hung up her call just now, so she specially glanced at the incoming call display on the phone screen, only to find it was another unfamiliar number.
Jin Jumo frowned slightly, hesitated a bit, and then answered the phone.
"It’s me!" As soon as the call connected, a voice boomed confidently from the other side. It sounded old, yet strong and naturally authoritative.
Jin Jumo’s eyebrows shot up immediately. It was no surprise; as soon as the voice started, she recognized who it belonged to.
With a light tug at her lips, Jin Jumo respectfully said, "Grandpa Rong."
"Hmm." Rong Zhengfeng grumbled a response; just from the sound of his voice, one could sense he wasn’t very pleased.
Jin Jumo sat down as rumored, staring down at her toes, "Is there something you need, Grandpa Rong?"
"I’m in Mo Chen’s office; I’ve asked him for your phone number!" Rong Zhengfeng’s tone had a bit of a smug undertone.
"..." Jin Jumo was taken aback, her almond-shaped eyes slightly narrowing, she said dryly, "Oh."
"Hmph, don’t think that by not giving me your phone number, I wouldn’t have ways to get it." Rong Zhengfeng said.
"... I didn’t not give it to you." Jin Jumo said, slightly baffled.
"Pretend, keep pretending!" Rong Zhengfeng huffed.
Jin Jumo’s mouth twitched.
"There’s a gathering this afternoon. I’m giving you a chance to accompany me."
Jin Jumo could almost imagine Rong Zhengfeng on the other end, lifting his chin, looking reluctantly obliging.
But... a gathering?
What kind was it? Was it appropriate for her to accompany him?
"If you have something to do, then just pretend I didn’t say anything." Perhaps because Jin Jumo hadn’t spoken for a long time, Rong Zhengfeng felt slightly embarrassed, and said grumpily.
"No, I don’t have any plans. I’m just a bit flattered." Jin Jumo quickly whispered.
Rong Zhengfeng was unreserved, "You should be flattered! This honor isn’t something just anyone gets!"
"Yes, yes, you’re right," Jin Jumo held her forehead and said, "But Grandpa Rong, could you tell me what kind of gathering it is? So I can dress accordingly and not embarrass you."
Hearing Jin Jumo taking the gathering so seriously, Rong Zhengfeng’s voice lightened up quite a bit, and he boldly said, "Wear whatever you want, in the name of Rong Zhengfeng..."
Before finishing, Rong Zhengfeng abruptly stopped, remaining silent for several seconds, then continued with a harsh tone, "Do whatever you think is best. Later, Mo Chen will give you the address, you come by yourself. Don’t expect me to send someone to pick you up. Bye!"
And then, he really did hang up!
Jin Jumo smiled wryly.
She realized that when dealing with Rong Zhengfeng, you couldn’t treat him as an elder; treating him like Hanhan and Xixi, like a child, was more apt.
Because she was considering attending the gathering with Rong Zhengfeng, Jin Jumo specifically chose a plain long dress, paired with a pale pink knit cardigan. She tried to tie her short hair, although some stray strands inevitably hung down beside her cheeks, it overall appeared more mature and composed than when left down.
Once she was ready, Rong Mochen called to inform her that the gathering would start at 2:30 and told her to have something to eat before having the driver take her there.
Jin Jumo worried about being late and upsetting Rong Zhengfeng, as it was the first time he was bringing her to a public event. She couldn’t allow herself to be late; it was the basic respect due to an elder.
So she just grabbed a quick bite to eat and, by 1:00 PM, left to have the driver take her to the gathering location.
She arrived at the gathering place exactly at 1:30 PM.
Jin Jumo was a bit surprised that the location Rong Zhengfeng mentioned turned out to be quite a high-end chess club.
Rong Zhengfeng arrived at the chess club at 2:20 PM. As soon as he got out of the car, he saw Jin Jumo standing alone at the entrance, looking even more slender than the last time he saw her, extremely frail.
Rong Zhengfeng frowned, standing still with a complex expression as he looked at Jin Jumo, until she noticed him and hurriedly walked over.
A fleeting warmth passed over Rong Zhengfeng’s face, but by the time Jin Jumo approached, his expression was once again stern and authoritative.
"Grandpa Rong." Jin Jumo smiled softly, her voice gentle.
"Have you been here long?" Rong Zhengfeng stared at her.
"I just got here," Jin Jumo replied.
Rong Zhengfeng nodded. One leg stepped out, but as if remembering something, he suddenly pulled it back and turned to look at Jin Jumo.
Jin Jumo paused, her mouth twitching slightly, "Is there... something wrong?"
Rong Zhengfeng stared at her for a while, suddenly grunted, "When did you cut your hair?"
After asking, Rong Zhengfeng didn’t wait for her to answer and carried on walking by himself.
Jin Jumo took a deep breath, shook her head in confusion, and quickly followed. She originally intended to support him, but recalling his previous overreaction, she decided against it.
