Tiny Genius Alert! Mom & Dad Better Make Peace-Chapter 348 - 335: You Know Better Than Mom
Everyone present was slightly stunned by the sudden scene.
It was Rong Sinan who reacted first, his handsome face suddenly falling. He pulled over Tang Yige, who was holding her face and standing there blankly. With clear eyes, he glanced at her swollen face, a hint of chill crossing his gaze, then coldly turned to stare at Fang Jingyi, whose hand had yet to fully lower.
Fang Jingyi’s face was livid, pointing at Tang Yige, speaking in an uncharacteristically stern tone as she looked at Rong Sinan. "Why is she here? Huh? Is she unwilling to give up and here to bother you again? You need to chase her out; she’s not welcome here! And haven’t you been harmed enough by the Tang Family, Sinan? Why don’t you ever learn your lesson?!"
Rong Sinan pressed his lips tightly, "She came to see Grandpa, it’s out of goodwill."
"Goodwill? Can she ever mean well? Have you forgotten about that year..."
"Mom!"
Rong Sinan’s voice suddenly sank, "What happened back then is in the past now."
Seeing Rong Sinan’s tightly knit brows and his gloomy eyes, Fang Jingyi closed her eyes, unwilling to see him upset, compromised with a nod, "Fine, I won’t bring it up anymore. You need to make her leave, out from here. I don’t want to see her, and you mustn’t have any dealings with her from now on. Not just her; I want you to sever ties with the Tang Family altogether!"
Yige’s hands and feet were cold, and aside from the initial shock of being slapped, she showed no extra emotion on her face at this moment.
Forcefully withdrawing her hand from Rong Sinan’s grasp, Yige said nothing and lowered her head, walking out of the ward.
Watching Tang Yige’s slim figure, Rong Sinan felt a sudden sting in his chest, a slight pain.
Instinctively, he stepped forward to chase after her.
"What are you doing?" Fang Jingyi widened her eyes, somewhat panicked, grabbing Rong Sinan’s arm and staring at him.
Rong Sinan frowned and looked down at Fang Jingyi.
Fang Jingyi pulled a long face, "Sinan, you understand better than Mom what kind of woman she is. What’s more, you’re still not divorced from Tang Ruan, and now you’re tangled up with her again. If the media picks up on this and exposes it, what will happen to your reputation? Listen to me: let her leave; she’s not worth your attention."
Watching Tang Yige’s suddenly quickened pace, Jin Jumo frowned tightly, his chest constricted, glanced at Fang Jingyi, and walked towards the door.
Rong Mochen watched Jin Jumo leave, his dark eyes slowly withdrew, glancing indifferently at Fang Jingyi, and finally fell on Grandpa Rong who was lying on the bed.
As for whatever Fang Jingyi was saying to Rong Sinan, Rong Mochen didn’t hear any of it.
Since Fang Jingyi entered and slapped Yige, Li Li’s tightly furrowed brows had not relaxed.
In recent years, Fang Jingyi’s temper had become increasingly irritable, her actions more excessive, seemingly afflicted with a kind of illness.
Jin Jumo chased outside, only to see that Yige hadn’t gone far. She was standing with her head down, arms wrapped around herself, her slim back slightly leaning against the wall, exuding an indescribable melancholy—a sadness that transformed into an aloofness and solitude as if there’s a barrier preventing anyone from truly approaching her.
As if within a foot around her, no one could really come close.
Jin Jumo didn’t approach, but instead stood at a not-too-close distance, looking at her gently, just hoping that when she raised her head, it might bring a bit of warmth to her current desolate heart.
People survive on that touch of warmth.
Inside the ward, Fang Jingyi’s sharp voice occasionally emerged, like a harsh sound from hell, unsettling people’s hearts.
Until Fang Jingyi’s voice finally stopped, Tang Yige, who had been lowering her head, slowly lifted it up, her exquisite eyes looking over clearly and brightly.
Jin Jumo watched her pale, translucent face, the angle of her smile felt somewhat stiff.
Tang Yige raised her eyebrows, pointed to the stairs, and mouthed at her, "Let’s go."
Jin Jumo frowned, not quite assured of her walking off like this.
Tang Yige smiled at her, and as she turned, her back straightened, her willowy waist swayed gracefully towards the stairs.
As she neared the stairwell, Tang Yige suddenly lifted her hand and made an "OK" gesture toward Jin Jumo, who had been watching her.
Jin Jumo felt a mix of emotions, suppressing the sigh in her throat, leaning against the wall, her mind flashing back to Fang Jingyi’s aggressive slap on Yige.
She had been slapped before, knowing how heavy Fang Jingyi’s hand could be and how painful it felt on the face.
If her skin were thinner and her heart more fragile, Fang Jingyi’s slap might have truly sent her packing.
Jin Jumo even considered that if it hadn’t been Tang Yige today, Fang Jingyi’s slap might indeed have landed on her face again.
Her right hand was suddenly grasped by a large palm, and Jin Jumo froze, turning her head to see Mu Qinnian looking at her with deep eyes.
Jin Jumo straightened up, swiftly hiding her emotions, looked at Mu Qinnian, and said, "Brother, are the hospital admission procedures done?"
Mu Qinnian nodded.
Jin Jumo took a breath, speaking softly, "Thank goodness you were here today."
Mu Qinnian frowned, saying nothing, holding Jin Jumo’s hand as they headed towards the stairwell.
Jin Jumo was startled, "Brother..."
"Let’s go home," Mu Qinnian said coldly.
Jin Jumo’s eyes narrowed slightly, looking at Mu Qinnian’s cold and sharp side profile, "Brother, you know I can’t leave now."
"What’s keeping you here?" Mu Qinnian’s attitude was firm, gripping Jin Jumo’s wrist toward the staircase. Though startling in appearance, he didn’t actually hurt Jin Jumo.
"Brother."
Jin Jumo, anxious, gasped lightly, one hand hurriedly grabbing at the iron railing of the stairs. If Mu Qinnian exerted a bit more force, it wouldn’t be hard for him to pull Jin Jumo away.
But ultimately, afraid of hurting her, Mu Qinnian had to stop, turning his gaze sharply towards Jin Jumo.
"Brother, could you go back first?" Jin Jumo pleaded, looking at Mu Qinnian.
"Come with me, Xixi and Hanhan are waiting for us at home," Mu Qinnian said.
"Grandpa Rong hasn’t fully awakened yet; how can I just leave..."
"The doctor already said his condition isn’t serious. A bit of rest, and he’ll be fine. And his family is all there; why should you, an outsider, stay? Do you want to repeat what happened to that woman earlier?" Mu Qinnian’s expression turned fierce, sternly saying.
"...You saw it?" Jin Jumo bit her lip, looking at Mu Qinnian.
Mu Qinnian suppressed his thick brows with a commanding presence, "Go home!"
Seeing Mu Qinnian’s entire body coated with intense hostility, the hairs on the back of Jin Jumo’s neck stood slightly upright, no longer daring to speak more, as she was escorted by him out of the hospital.
Sitting in the car, Jin Jumo immediately texted Rong Mochen, informing him that she had returned to the villa.
