To Be Yours Again-Chapter 293 One last night
*RAPHAEL*
I decided to spend one last night with Mona. One last night loving her.
After tonight, I will try to keep my distance until Lorenzo gets back.
On getting home, I approached her.
She spoke first. “I’m sorry about the way I spoke to you, can...”
“Will you like to go somewhere with me?”
She blinked. “Where?”
“It’s a surprise.”
*********
Just as I pulled up at the beach, Mona’s confusion turns into excitement.
“The beach!” Her eyes sparkling with anticipation.
I grinned at her, brought the car to a stop and got down.
I then opened the door for her.
There was a Marex boat already waiting for us, docked at the shore and ready to go.
Mona’s excitement skyrocketed as she took in the sight before her.
“Really?" she exclaimed. "A boat ride?"
She raced forward, climbing in without hesitation and looking around eagerly. She confessed how much she’s been wanting to go on a boat ride recently.
Yeah. I noticed. She talked about it even if she might have forgotten.
“What about steering a boat?"
Without warning, she attacked me with a hug.
“Yes! Can I?"
I guided her hands to the wheel and showed her how to start the engine. I
couldn’t resist embracing her from behind, wrapping my arms around her and getting as close as possible.
We set sail as I took control by placing my hands over hers and guiding her to steer us toward the horizon.
As we navigated the waters, Mona’s eyes were wide with wonder and amazement. Her hair was whipped back by the wind as she surveyed the ocean around us, looking out for any signs of sea life.
I could see the curiosity and love for nature radiating off of her.
As we sailed on, I couldn’t help but appreciate the moment we were sharing together.
Out here in the open sea, just the two of us, it felt like nothing else matters in the world. The only thing we had to focus on was the beauty of nature and each other.
Mona looked over at me with a radiant smile, "This is amazing, Enzo, thank you so much for bringing me out here."
I smiled back at her warmly, "Anything for you."
We continued to sail through the waves until we came across a pod of dolphins leaping through the water.
Mona gasped at the sight and I could see the excitement bubbling within her. I turned off the engine and we watched as the dolphins swim and play around us.
Her eyes widened with wonder as she watched them, "They’re so beautiful."
I nodded in agreement, "They really are. Watching them is like watching pure joy in motion."
We sat in silence for a few moments, basking in the beauty of the moment and the peacefulness of our surroundings. But then, Mona turned to me with a mischievous glint in her eye. She reached into the water and splashed it up at me, giggling adorably as she watched it drip down my face and soak into my shirt.
“You’ll pay for that," I told her with a grin.
She just laughed in response, a sound that I couldn’t get enough of. Before I know it, we’re both splashing water at each other and laughing like kids. It was as if we had forgotten about everything else in the world, and all that matters is this moment and each other.
Eventually, we continued on our journey, sailing onward and pointing out different sights and talking about sea life.
Mona came up behind me and wrapped her arms around my waist. "You really made me so happy today, Enzo. This is just...wow."
Should I tell her now?
If I tell her I wasn’t the real Lorenzo, would she still want to be with me?
I turned around to face her, wrapping my own arms around her. "Anytime," I replied, voice low and full of emotion.
My heart raced as I leaned in closer to her, feeling the rush of adrenaline pumping through my veins.
Say it!
But instead, with a fierce determination, I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her towards me, crashing my lips onto hers in a passionate kiss. The moment was electric, our bodies pressed tightly together as we explored each other’s mouths with hungry abandon.
The boat rocked gently beneath us as our kisses grow more heated by the second. Mona moaned softly in my ear as I trailed hot kisses down her neck and collarbone, my hands roaming over her curves with an unbridled desire.
I pulled back, gripping her chin and staring deeply into her eyes. "You are the most amazing woman I’ve ever met."
I do not know why saying the words I really wanted to say was so hard for me.
Mona blushed and shook her head in disagreement. "I’m nothing special, Enzo, really."
“Yes, you are," I whispered, leaning in to kiss her sweet lips again. "You’re the most beautiful, most interesting woman I’ve ever met."
“You’re not so bad yourself," she smirked, giving me a sexy wink.
I chuckled lightly at that but insist that she not change the subject. "Whoever allowed you to feel like you aren’t an absolute work of art is so wrong that it could be considered criminal."
Her cheeks flushed pink with a mix of passion and embarrassment. "I’m not the smartest or anything like that, or the prettiest girl in the world."
“Well then, allow me to be the judge," I told her, cupping her face in my hands.
“You’re the best girl in the world. And what matters more to me is that you’re here right now with me, and for right now, I’m the luckiest man on earth."
“You’re just sweet-talking me.” She raised an eyebrow at me and adds teasingly,
“I’m not. I just say what’s on my mind when it comes to you."
“I like that," She smiled softly in response.
Holding her close to me once more, I look into her gorgeous eyes and smiled reassuringly. "You should know that nothing else should matter. I do not care about anything else."
“What do you care about then?" She asked me softly.
I pressed my forehead to hers as I spoke, taking her hands in mine and holding them close to my chest as I tell her exactly what was on my mind.
“There isn’t a thing about you that doesn’t make me happy. You can be completely oblivious and make an honest effort, fail hilariously, and it would be endearing to me. Your quirks are adorable, your talents are staggering, and your personality is magnetic. And I’m just so thankful that you’re in my life right now."
Mona smiled at me sweetly, almost as if she was melting into a puddle of happiness beneath my gaze. She brought her hands up to cup my cheeks and gazed back with an unmistakable emotion in her eyes.
“Keep it up and you might actually do something to my heart.”
Oh!
That was what I greatly wanted.
I wanted to fill every space in her heart.
So she would always choose me.
