Chapter 184: Why are you thanking me?

Kang-woo did not fall behind Yun-tae’s pace. He wasn’t driving the latest car his father bought, but his current car was no joke in speed.

And yet, he drove at a pace that did not catch up to them completely and watched as Chin-hwa laughed enthusiastically as the wind blew against them and caused the ends of his scarf to dance in the wind.

He looked happy and Kang-woo took his time watching him.

They finally got to the dorm and Yun-tae grabbed Chin-hwa’s hand, leading him into the building in a hurry while Kang-woo parked his car and breathed out.

"Where did my little kitten run off to?" He asked with a little grin and entered the building.

Chin-hwa had already put most of the things he needed in boxes so all that was left was to take them out. They were many, and three people were enough to move them. They would just take two trips up and down.

"I’ve come to reclaim what’s mine," Kang-woo exclaimed as he entered the room and the two of them laughed.

"Well, you’re in luck, I was just deciding to let him go." Yun-tae said. "But not after I put him to work,"

"I’ll work on his behalf." Kang-woo confidently said.

"Good, take this." Yun-tae carried one of the boxes and shoved it into his arms. It was a box filled with stuffed animals, so it was light, and thus, Yun-tae added one more box. "There, go down with that and when you come back up, you’ll need to take those two." He pointed at the two bulky suitcases filled with Chin-hwa’s clothes.

"Alright," Kang-woo started heading out.

Chin-hwa carried one box and Yun-tae carried the giant teddy bear.

"Are you okay?" Chin-hwa asked because it looked like he wouldn’t be able to see clearly while carrying it.

"Don’t worry, I got this."

Before long, they were already done. The boxes and the suitcases fit into Kang-woo’s booth and the giant teddy took its place in the backseat.

"Thanks, Yun-tae." Chin-hwa said as it was time to part ways.

"Why are you thanking me?" Yun-tae asked, laughing softly. "I’ll get going now," he got on the scooter and waved at them.

Chin-hwa felt sleepy and fell asleep without realizing it. Kang-woo woke him up as soon as they got to their destination and asked,

"Are you okay? You seem to be quite tired these days,"

"I don’t know," Chin-hwa said. "I feel fine but just tired. I must just be stressing out since school’s begun again." He yawned.

It had already been a month since they resumed school but maybe things were still a bit hectic.

He brushed Chin-hwa’s hair back lightly and smiled.

"Shall we get down now?"

Since school resumed, they had been living together but Chin-hwa never had the chance to actually move his things.

No one proposed it. It just felt natural since they were both marked. It felt like Chin-hwa was already living with him but at the same time, it felt like he wasn’t there yet.

They had to complete the process by moving Chin-hwa’s things and with that, it finally felt like Chin-hwa had moved in with him.

It was a dream come through for Chin-hwa as well. He had always imagined what it would be like to live under the same roof with Chin-hwa as roommates, and more so if they became a couple.

And now look at this, they were a couple living together.

A few days after that, they were comfortably in each other’s arms in the living room, wearing matching pajamas, while Chin-hwa was eating watermelon when Kang-woo asked,

"Does the watermelon taste good?" He was sitting behind Chin-Hwa with his arms around his waist and his head on his shoulder.

He had sliced the watermelon with his own hands and taken out the seeds because Chin-Hwa felt like eating watermelons, but seeing Chin-Hwa looking too excited as he ate it made him wonder if the watermelon had a different taste all of a sudden.

"Yes, it is." Chin-hwa answered and then stabbed one with his pick and moved it to Kang-woo’s mouth. "Wanna try?"

Kang-woo opened his mouth and allowed Chin-hwa to feed him.

"See. Doesn’t it taste great?"

He didn’t know if it was because Chin-hwa was the one who fed it to him but he could say it tasted sweeter than normal.

"Yes, it does." He answered, clutching Chin-hwa and burying his head on his shoulder.

Chin-hwa smiled and continued eating.

It was already time for bed but maybe having fruits after dinner wasn’t a bad thing.

"Now, I feel like having pineapple," Chin-hwa said and Kang-woo raised his head.

The watermelon wasn’t finished but he looked like he was already fed up with it.

"No, I think it’s strawberry." Chin-hwa said but then sighed, and began to sniff.

"Hwa? What’s wrong?" Kang-woo asked, worried but Chin-hwa shook his head.

"I don’t know. I think I want to eat pineapple but then strawberries come to mind. I also want candy," he said and his eyes began to tear up. "What do I do? I’m so conflicted."

Kang-woo was short of words. He didn’t know what was going on but it shouldn’t be a reason to cry, right?

"It’s alright, Hwa, don’t cry." He wiped his tears. "It doesn’t have to be just one, right? I’ll get it all for you. Everything you feel like eating. I’ll get it so wait for me. I’ll rush to the nearest Mart."

"Wait," Chin-hwa held his arm. "I... I want to go with you."

Kang-woo looked towards the wall clock and saw it was past 10. It wasn’t too late so they could definitely head out together.

"Alright," he kissed the top of Chin-hwa’s head. "Let’s go put on something warm so we don’t catch a cold, okay?"

Chin-hwa nodded and Kang-woo couldn’t help but feel he was acting like a baby. He was adorable, as always.

They got dressed and headed to the supermarket.

Since there was no telling when Chin-hwa was going to crave something else, Kang-woo decided it was best to buy every type of fruit as well as different flavored sweets.

They weren’t even out of the mart yet and Chin-hwa was already taking a bite of the strawberry candy.

He didn’t know when he had opened it and put it in his mouth but Kang-woo realized... He must really be craving sweets.

If only that was the only thing that was going on.
