To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 186: His darling Chin-hwa
Hae-won froze for a minute.
Cravings. That was definitely a symptom of pregnancy, right? But that was all. There was nothing else, so could he just imagine it was only a phase and not exactly pregnancy?
Knowing Kang-woo didn’t use any form of protection during the rut, everyone became cautious and curious to know if Chin-hwa would get pregnant.
Of course, they tried to prevent it by giving him an effective after pills but there was no guarantee.
They tried taking him to the hospital afterward to check, but signs of a child could only be found after a few days so they waited it out.
But then, when it was time to take Chin-hwa to the hospital, Chin,-Hwa said,
"I’m fine, though. I don’t feel sick. Why do you want me to go to the hospital?"
They couldn’t tell him that they wanted to get a pregnancy test because it would scare him.
So, they decided to simply observe, hoping the after-pills did the trick.
And yet... Chin-hwa was having cravings.
’Should I be glad it’s just cravings?’ Hae-won thought, biting his thumb. ’Anyone can have cravings, right? As long as he doesn’t have any morning sickness then it should be fine.’
"Mummy?" Chin-hwa called and Hae-won snapped out of it.
"Yes, Hwa?"
"You look worried." Chin-hwa said.
"It’s nothing. I’m wondering how to cure your cravings." Hae-won said with a nice smile.
"Ah, I’m wondering the same thing." Chin-hwa said. "At this weight, I’ll put on a few pounds and Kang-woo might have a little trouble carrying me then." He laughed.
Hae-won smiled, watching him laugh happily.
He reached his hand towards him and stroked his hair.
His darling Chin-hwa.
Maybe he wouldn’t need to worry about him so much if he had never passed through the pain of losing but he had. He lost Kang-woo once and he was wrecked.
That period was hard for all of them. It wasn’t like Kang-woo died but knowing he had disappeared from his life without a word felt like a part of his world had been forcefully ripped away.
So, how would he feel if he were to carry a child, her a big bump only to lose it at the end?
That was a bad thought to entertain but Hae-won couldn’t help but feel scared for him. He had a rather fragile frame and he was so young.
Would he be able to carry a child with such a frail body?
It worried him a lot. But even though he was that worried, he worried more about what Woo-bin would do.
They all understood that it was too early for Chin-hwa to be a mother and that his body was not mature enough. He was just 21. How could he be responsible for another life so early in life?
If they were to find out he was carrying a child right now, Woo-bin might want to get rid of the child while it was still early.
But would Chin-hwa want that? Would Chin-hwa want to get rid of the life that was growing inside him even if he knew it was dangerous for him?
"Mummy?" Chin-hwa called, touching his face lightly and he held his hand, smiling at him.
He remembered when he found out he was pregnant for the first time, he was scared and wanted to get rid of the pregnancy because he ran away. He ran away from Baek-Hyun and Woo-bin who despised Omegas back then.
What would they do to him if they found out that he not only deceived them about his second gender but he also made away with their seeds.
It was already enough that he felt they hated him so imagining how much their eyes would blaze at this made him wish he were dead instead.
Of course, that was just a misunderstanding on his part. Whether he was an Omega or a Beta, they would accept him regardless but he didn’t know that.
He decided to get rid of the pregnancy since they would never accept him but even that was not up to him, since he needed the consent of his Alpha first.
His life felt ruined.
But they accepted him. And they accepted the babies in his stomach. They accepted him even when he confessed he was from another world, and he was not the Hae-won they knew.
They accepted all of him despite everything.
In any case, he didn’t hesitate to want to get rid of his pregnancy because he had no one but that was different with Chin-hwa.
No matter what he chose everyone would support him. And the decision was up to him.
"Are you okay?" Chin-hwa asked and Hae-won smiled, kissing his hand.
"I just miss my kids a lot." He said. "No one’s coming home anymore so it’s so quiet lately."
"Sorry," Chin-hwa apologized.
"It’s okay. I know you’re all busy with school and work. And I get enough time to work on my new novel so it’s fine." He said and got up. "Want to assist me in preparing dinner? I just need to make the soup and it’s done."
"Alright,"
"Hwa," Hae-won called.
"Yes, Mummy?"
"If anything strange happens... And by strange, I mean if you suddenly get a check-up at the hospital and notice something, anything at all... You should go to your daddy Baek first." He said but Chin-hwa was confused.
What did that mean?
"No matter what it is, even if it’s a happy news or sad news, go to your daddy Baek first."
Chin-hwa nodded. Though he didn’t know what this was about, he would heed his words. But...
"Can’t I come to you instead?" Chin-hwa asked and Hae-won froze.
Then, he turned around and smiled at him.
"You can’t."
Hae-won was scared. He was scared of what he would end up choosing to do at the moment. He just might decide to go ahead with Woo-bin’s plans because he didn’t want his Hwa to suffer any sort of pain.
He didn’t trust himself. So, the best person to meet would be Baek-Hyun. He was much more rational even in a crisis so he would trust his dear Hwa in his hands.
He, as well as Woo-bin, acted too much on emotions, and they may end up regretting it if they decide to act on what they ’felt’ was right.
"Alright, come help me with the soup."
