To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 191: Oh my! There’s going to be a wedding, after all
After a serious banter and argument about this topic, everyone tried to convince Woo-bin that there was nothing he could do about this since Chin-hwa had been very insistent on keeping the baby.
If he pressed any further or tried to force him to give up the baby, then he may very well regret it for the rest of his life because Chin-hwa would hate him.
Hearing that, Woo-bin came to a halt. Hate was such a strong word.
And Chin-hwa would hate him? No, no, he couldn’t have that.
"Woo-bin," Hae-won called, caressing his face gently. "Do not do anything that will put our Hwa in harm’s way." He warned. "I understand you’re worried, and so are we, but..." He bit his lip. "This is his life. Do not... I repeat, Woo-bin, do not cause my baby to shed tears. Excessively worrying will only create a mistake we can never erase for the rest of our lives, so let it be. We can only be happy for them and go ahead with the ’plan’ we thought of."
Woo-bin gritted his teeth, his eyes welling up.
He didn’t like this. He didn’t like that his Chin-hwa would have to go through something like this so early. It was only yesterday that he held him in his arms; his small and fragile body squirmed in his arms.
And now he, Chin-hwa, was planning to hold a similar small and fragile baby in his arms. Where have the times gone?
He wanted to cry, but he didn’t. He dropped his head on Hae-won’s shoulder, crouching his back as he said,
"I don’t want anything to happen to him."
"Nothing will happen to him." Hae-won assured him, patting his back. He was such a big baby. "We’ll make sure to monitor his condition carefully and have the best doctors check on the baby. Nothing will happen to him."
"I want to see him," Woo-bin said.
"Not now. We’ll go over first thing tomorrow. How’s that?" Hae-won asked, proving he was the only one who could actually tame Woo-bin, who was more like a blend of a wild cat and a fox.
Baek-Hyun watched this and sighed.
"So I guess I’ll have to call in the reception house." He said.
"Oh my! There’s going to be a wedding, after all." Ga-ram said.
"I’m just surprised I’m going to become a grandfather when I’m still so young." He said, and Ga-ram elbowed him.
"You aren’t that young, so stop complaining." He said.
So, it was settled. They would go ahead with the wedding preparations, and the first thing the next day, they would go see Chin-hwa on Woo-bin’s insistence.
Meanwhile, Chin-hwa lay on the bed, touching his belly as he stared at the ceiling.
"It feels so unreal." He said, but it was at this point that he had noticed that his abdomen felt a little bloated.
Even if he had noticed it before, he might’ve assumed it was excessive fat he had gotten from eating too much sweets these days.
"Hwa," Kang-woo, who was watching him from the side, called and asked, "Do you resent me?"
Chin-hwa paused, staring at the guilt in Kang-woo’s eyes.
"I felt good." He suddenly said, and it didn’t look like he was responding to his question. "When we mated, when we shared body heat with our skin pressed together, when we locked gaze as we kissed and exchanged saliva... When we... Reached ecstasy... I felt good, Byul. I felt very good."
Kang-woo’s face flushed red a bit. How could Chin-hwa say those things with a straight face? He looked serious. It was probably because he wanted Kang-woo to understand how serious he was.
"I felt very good. Did you feel good?"
Kang-woo nodded.
"There. We both felt good. And the result was this." He rubbed his belly. "Though it was unexpected, it was still a result of our passionate longing for each other. And I... There is no way I can resent you for something like this after liking our bond so much. If I do, then I’d end up resenting myself for liking it as well. Do you want me to resent myself?"
"No, of course not." Kang-woo quickly answered. "I would never want that."
"It’s the same for me." Chin-hwa said and then sat up. "Then, let me ask you this."
Kang-woo also sat up and looked Chin-hwa in the eye.
"Do you resent me for making you into a father at an early age?"
"What?"
"You’re still in school, yet to go into the world and create a name for yourself, yet to settle down. You’re just 21, and yet I decided I wanted to keep the baby, dragging you into this responsibility with me. Do you resent me for that?" He pursed his lips.
Kang-woo stared at him, his eyes squinting in pain as he thought of how he could never resent Chin-hwa. Was this how Chin-hwa felt when he asked if he resented him?
He was so insensitive to ask that question in the first place. They were both... Trying their best.
He leaned in and kissed Chin-hwa’s lips.
"No, Hwa. No. I could never resent you. And as for taking responsibility, I don’t think I would’ve been able to bring myself to get rid of that baby even if that was what you had decided. I would’ve wanted it since it was a product of you and me. I... Would’ve wanted to be a father to your child."
He laid Chin-hwa down slowly while kissing his lips softly.
The doctor had said to regularly conduct a pheromone shower so that his nerves would be stable. And it was most preferable to do it during sex.
His body needed it.
"Hwa, I’m going to touch you." Kang-woo whispered softly, and Chin-hwa’s face flushed, and he covered his face in shame.
"You... Why do you even have to ask something like that?" He asked and twisted his lips lightly. "Go ahead, Kang-woo. Touch me. You can... Do whatever you want with me, but he gentle." He said, and Kang-woo nodded, kissing down his neck while rubbing his stomach gently.
Very soon, his stomach would be bigger than that. He would like to see a little round Chin-hwa.
With his heart at ease, he was starting to look forward to this journey ahead of them. He would do his best because he knew Chin-hwa would never relent from doing his best either.
They would overcome this... Together.
