To the Love of My Life-Chapter 891 - The One He Loves is Back (Part 5)_1
Chapter 891: Chapter 891 The One He Loves is Back (Part 5)_1
Compared to Edward Woods’s impatience, Rusell Henris appeared exceptionally composed. He stood up, picked up his laptop, glanced at Howard Coleman, flashed him a smile, then turned around to follow Edward out of the room.
In the vast meeting room, in an instant, only Howard was left.
He sat alone at his seat for a long time, slowly blinked his eyes, and came back to his senses.
She was coming back… The woman he loved was finally coming back…
An indescribable emotion, whether excitement or shock, crawled over his entire body, devouring every cell within.

The next day, at ten o’clock in the morning, when Edward received Madeleine’s call, he told her about the farewell dinner. Madeleine nodded with a jovial smile, seemingly thrilled at the prospect of reuniting with the people she was closest to after three and a half years, but nobody knew that beneath her smile, threads of nervousness and discomfort were beginning to surface.
Now that she was back in Ciawell, she knew she would see him again, but she hadn’t anticipated it would be so soon!
After dropping Madeleine off at her apartment, Edward left.
Due to the long-haul flight and jet lag, Madeleine was exceptionally tired. She couldn’t wait to take a bath and climb into bed.
Alone in her apartment and high above the city, the noise didn’t reach her. Lying in bed with closed eyes in such a silent space, she didn’t feel the least bit sleepy.
All that occupied her mind was the scene of tonight’s farewell dinner and the inevitable encounter with him.

Howard’s work was slightly distracted throughout the day. He left his office several times with a case file he and Edward were responsible for and made deliberate detours by Edward’s office door, only to learn from Edward’s secretary each time that Mr. Woods had not yet arrived at the company.
It wasn’t until three in the afternoon that Edward finally made it to the office. When Howard entered Edward’s office with the planning case in hand, he discovered Rusell was also there.
“Howard’s here?” Rusell, who was in the midst of saying something to Edward, greeted Howard upon seeing him.
Howard nodded, handed over the planning case to Edward, who began to review it while speaking to Rusell as if Howard wasn’t a stranger, “Really? So our brother entrusted you to arrange Madeleine’s farewell dinner, and after all that planning, you choose The Sapphire Bistro! Don’t tell me you haven’t been paying attention to Madeleine?”
“Nonsense! I called Madeleine, and she wanted The Sapphire Bistro herself. She mentioned she’s been missing their sweet and sour pork ribs for a while,” Rusell retorted.
Howard came here primarily to find out whether Madeleine had safely arrived in Ciawell. Now that he had his answer, he pointed to the planning case in Edward’s hands, “You go ahead and look at that. I’ve got some things to take care of, so I’ll be leaving first.”
After saying that, Howard turned, ready to leave.
Rusell called out to Howard, “Howard, eight o’clock tonight at The Sapphire Bistro, don’t forget.”
Upon hearing this, Howard paused mid-step, nodded at Rusell without uttering a word, and walked away.
Edward looked at the door Howard had closed firmly and put down the planning case, “It wasn’t easy for our brother to finally get together with Ruby, and I thought that was the start of good times for all of us. But now, there’s Madeleine and Howard.”
