Tokyo: My Superpower Refreshes Every Week-Chapter 775 - 773: The Organization Decides to Send You
October 4th, Wednesday.
The alarm clock on the bedside table rang on time.
Hojo Shouko woke up and tried to prop herself up, only to find a floating Noble Phantasm at the bedside.
It was a silver chain with golden wedges of different shapes tied at both ends.
This must be the Noble Phantasm.
Normal objects wouldn't be able to float in the air.
Hojo Shouko thought as she held the silver chain, a magnetic voice whispered in her ear, "Heavenly Lock."
"Heavenly Lock."
Hojo Shouko subconsciously recited the name, and suddenly remembered that Ayatsuki-senpai mentioned yesterday, if the Noble Phantasm's true name is spoken, it would unleash its original power.
She looked at the shining Heavenly Lock, a hint of regret flashed in her heart, fearing the commotion would disturb her parents and brother.
The silver necklace spun in her hand and transformed into a golden disc, from which silver chains identical to the previous ones emerged, but noticeably longer.
Each chain had an elliptical golden wedge at its front.
In an instant, the entire bedroom seemed filled with these chains.
Each chain behaved as if it were obedient like a hand, not destroying anything or causing a big stir.
Hojo Shouko decided to retract the chains back into the golden disc, leaving only four chains remaining.
Her wide almond eyes flashed with interest, she attempted to control the Heavenly Lock moving forward, gently opening the wardrobe and hooking the school uniform out.
In her view, the Heavenly Locks were as dexterous as her hands.
The lack of fingers on the Heavenly Locks could be compensated for by using two of them.
Two Heavenly Locks grabbed and helped her remove her nightgown.
Hojo Shouko changed into her school uniform and then headed outside.
The golden disc lingered on her right side, as the Heavenly Lock followed, proactively opening the door.
The living room remained dim as always, but to her eyes, it seemed to change, a very peculiar feeling.
She seemed to have found the reason behind Ayatsuki-senpai's constant excitement.
Owning a Noble Phantasm made life much more convenient.
It meant she could do several things simultaneously. If controlled properly, Heavenly Lock could reel in dishes or wrap around a knife to cut them.
She could almost complete tasks that usually required constant running back and forth while standing in place.
This was a novel experience.
Hojo Shouko decided to tell Aozawa-senpai about it at noon.
She stood in place and used the Heavenly Locks from the golden disc to knock on her brother's and parents' bedroom doors, reminding them to get up for breakfast.
Heavenly Lock is truly convenient for daily life.
Hojo Shouko sighed contentedly.
...
Imperial Palace, inside the Imperial Residence.
The ringing of the alarm clock fell on Phoenix Academy Maggie's ears, only making her feel annoyed, without the usual urge to get up directly.
No matter how much she said she didn't care, last night she tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep.
Whenever she closed her eyes, she saw Morimoto Chitose's smug expression.
It's so strange.
Even though Ayatsuki Iroha possessed a Noble Phantasm, Phoenix Academy Maggie could keep her composure.
But with Morimoto Chitose possessing one, she felt a impulses to compete.
Her desire to win cost her a good night's sleep and she lacked her usual cheerfulness, directly reaching out to bluntly turn off the alarm clock.
She yawned, rubbed her eyes, and lazily propped herself up.
Long eyelashes fluttered lightly, bright eyes opened a slit, then suddenly rounded wide.
Phoenix Academy Maggie was no longer drowsy, staring at a sword floating at the bedside.
The hilt was dark blue, the guard seemed crafted from gold.
The scabbard was mostly golden with blue stripes crossed at the end.
"Noble Phantasm!"
Phoenix Academy Maggie excitedly jumped up from the bed, reaching to grasp the scabbard.
"Sword of Promised Victory."
The magnetic voice echoed in her ear, as Phoenix Academy Maggie grasped the hilt, taking a deep breath, the buttons on her nightgown bursting outward.
She slowly drew the Sword of Promised Victory; the silver-white blade mirrored her excited eyes.
"Sword of Promised Victory!"
Phoenix Academy Maggie raised the sword in her hand, wanting to test its power.
The silver-white blade suddenly emanated golden specks of light, then transformed into a golden stream of light shooting skyward.
Boom!
The ceiling above the Imperial Residence was blown open, seemingly even dispersing the clouds in the sky.
The loud commotion reached Toyomei-den within, Kochou frowned slightly, she quickly stood from her seat and ran outside, "What happened?"
"A golden light stream suddenly appeared from the young miss's bedroom in the Imperial Residence."
The servant's answer left Kochou slightly stunned, then she showed joy and quickly ran towards the Imperial Residence.
The golden light stream disappeared.
Phoenix Academy Maggie sheathed her sword back. She wouldn't do something as insane as slicing towards Tokyo to test its power.
She couldn't help but use it right then, her heart was truly too excited.
It didn't matter if it was her bedroom that was destroyed.
Great, she must immediately message Morimoto Chitose.
Phoenix Academy Maggie picked up her phone, the sliding door of her room opened, Kochou ran in breathlessly, "Maggie, is this your Noble Phantasm?"
"Yes, I saw it when I just woke up."
"Good, good."
Kochou repeated good several times; now if talking about the number of Treasure Users, no country could surpass Japan.
Of course, for Kochou, it's not really a good thing.
Needless to say about Morimoto Chiyoda, she basically maintains a neutral stance and won't support her.
Emily and Morimoto Chiyoda are on the same side, and compared to the Prime Minister, Sunaga Takashi is certainly more inclined towards Morimoto Chiyoda.
The weight of the three Treasure Users combined is heavy, yet they are not on her side.
Kochou naturally feels the pressure.
Luckily, her daughter became a Treasure User today. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Kochou couldn't help but ponder the remaining number of Noble Phantasms and whether there would be eleven items distributed today as it was yesterday and the day before.
If so, which countries acquired Noble Phantasms?
Did only Maggie from Japan obtain one, or did others also get a Noble Phantasm?
She thought about these things.
"Mother, I need to change clothes."
"Oh, go ahead and change."
Kochou snapped back to reality and closed the sliding door.
Phoenix Academy Maggie walked to the changing room, took out her phone, clicked a photo, and sent it to Morimoto Chiyoda, "Thanks to your blessings, I have a Noble Phantasm, the Sword of Promised Victory."
The message quickly showed as read.
"Really, congratulations to you."
Phoenix Academy Maggie looked at the message from Morimoto Chiyoda, her eyebrows slightly furrowed, feeling like her action was a bit childish.
Maybe it was because she was too excited about obtaining the Noble Phantasm.
She shouldn't have sent a message to Morimoto Chiyoda and let her show such adult-like tolerance.
"I'll be careful next time."
Phoenix Academy Maggie muttered, reminding herself that no matter how excited, one must remain rational.
She exhaled heavily and decided to share her joy with Aozawa and Nomura later.
However, will Aozawa be allocated a Noble Phantasm after passing the four trials?
Phoenix Academy Maggie couldn't help but worry that Dio might not give a Noble Phantasm because of Aozawa's Angel Envoy identity.
...
Time flew by, and the four morning classes ended.
Hojo Shouko, unlike usual, pulled her bag out of the drawer and headed to the club building.
Natsuka Yanagimachi approached curiously, "Shouko, why are you taking out your bag today?"
Hojo Shouko didn't answer the reason, just gently said, "I'll tell you when we get to the club activity room."
She didn't tell Natsuka Yanagimachi earlier about obtaining a Noble Phantasm because she worried about her big mouth, planning to tell her in the club room.
Natsuka Yanagimachi's curiosity was piqued, and she started thinking about various possibilities, pushing Hojo Shouko to speed up to the Guzheng Club room, closing the door, with her face full of curiosity, "Shouko, now can you tell me why?"
"Actually, I obtained a Noble Phantasm."
Hojo Shouko took the Heavenly Lock out of her bag.
"Nani?!"
Natsuka Yanagimachi's pitch suddenly rose, reaching out to touch the Heavenly Lock.
Crackle, a familiar electric sensation hit her fingertips.
Natsuka Yanagimachi didn't cry out in pain but was instead unusually excited, "It's really a Noble Phantasm, it truly is!
Just like Ayatsuki-senpai's electricity!
Shouko, you're amazing, what ability does it have?
Hurry up and let me see!"
Hojo Shouko saw Natsuka Yanagimachi's energetic demeanor, like an unleashed Husky, and knew it was a wise choice not to tell her in the morning.
"Heavenly Lock."
Hojo Shouko chanted the true name of the Noble Phantasm.
The silver necklace suddenly rotated, transforming into a golden disc beside her hand, followed by a dozen chains emerging from it.
Each chain bore a golden wedge.
Natsuka Yanagimachi watched, her excited expression suddenly giving way to a sage-like contemplation, her right hand supporting her chin.
Such an unusual action made Hojo Shouko curious, "Summer Flower, what are you thinking about?"
"I'm wondering if this golden wedge can be shrunk."
Natsuka Yanagimachi proposed this question and gestured with her hand, "Don't you think that if this shape was smaller, and with some oil, it would be just right?
Stretchable and far superior to cucumbers and eggplants."
Hojo Shouko blinked, after contemplating for several seconds, she understood what Natsuka Yanagimachi meant.
Her pale cheeks turned a shade of red.
The Heavenly Lock quickly coiled around Natsuka Yanagimachi's body.
"Electricity, hey, there's no electricity," she looked surprised, not feeling any electric shock, just simply being restrained.
"Ah~ Shouko, no, this is not okay!"
Natsuka Yanagimachi, realizing she was unharmed, immediately twisted flexibly, deliberately making strange noises.
Aozawa walked through the autumn breeze to the window, seeing a scene resembling a small film, and asked puzzled, "What are you playing?"
The Heavenly Lock swiftly released Natsuka Yanagimachi.
Hojo Shouko, afraid he might misunderstand, hurriedly explained, "Aozawa-senpai, I was just showing Summer Flower the Noble Phantasm Heavenly Lock that I got, not playing any games."
"Oh, so this is your Noble Phantasm, very impressive."
Aozawa complimented, still contemplating who should be sent to London.
Can't send them all.
If only one is sent, personality must be considered.
In case of an unreasonable wish, it could be troublesome.
"Well, the Heavenly Lock is very powerful, you don't even need to carry your own lunch."
Hojo Shouko's words helped Aozawa make a decision.
He chose to send her to London to participate in the battle.
