Since when did appearance become the standard for judging or even disparaging a person?

His hearing was better than Aurelia’s; he heard everything she heard, but arguing with a bunch of passersby would make them seem too graceless.

Mason suddenly lowered his head and planted a kiss on her lips.

The kiss was so sudden that Aurelia stared at Mason in a daze, seeing the intensity in his eyes, and immediately understood that he was concerned about what the people around them were saying about her.

Seizing the moment while he lowered his head, she patted his head, "It’s just a bunch of self-pitying people with inferiority complexes. Anyway, I look better than them."

"Yes." Mason replied in a deep voice, a pampering curve at the corner of his lips, "You look better than all of them, ten thousand times prettier."

After wiping the foundation from the corner of her mouth, Mason frowned, "In the future, don’t put on such ugly makeup."

He would rather deal with those troublesome rivals himself than let her suffer grievances.

"Did Victoria Blake know Albert before?" Once in the car, Aurelia asked.

Mason glanced at her, questioning with his eyes.

Aurelia explained, "Victoria came to the restaurant to find me today, saw Albert, but her expression was a bit off, and then she left in a taxi. They both said it was their first meeting, but it didn’t feel like it to me."

Mason searched his mind for someone named Albert.

Aurelia wasn’t surprised, "That does seem like her style."

Now that things are so tense between the two of them, it seems that the outcome of going to a foreign land back then wasn’t very good.

Aurelia understood a bit.
