Touch Therapy: Where Hands Go, Bodies Beg-Chapter 360: Fox Spirit
The LUNE Entertainment building was already humming with morning activity when Joon-ho arrived, the energy of a company on the rise palpable in every interaction. Staff members greeted him with respectful bows, their faces reflecting the pride they took in working for an organization that was rapidly establishing itself as a major player in the industry.
Joon-ho made his way to Harin’s office, bypassing the open areas where teams were already at work. The door was open, and he could see Harin on the phone, her expression focused and animated, her hand moving rapidly as she took notes on the tablet before her.
She looked up as he entered, her eyes brightening with excitement. Covering the phone’s receiver briefly, she waved him in, her smile conveying the importance of her call.
"Just one moment," she mouthed, then returned to her conversation with renewed energy. "Yes, absolutely. I need the full specifications on the compensation package, including the backend points and international distribution rights. This is going to be a high-profile project, and we need to make sure everything reflects that level of commitment."
Joon-ho settled into one of the chairs opposite her desk, content to wait. He’d seen Harin in this mode before—locked in, focused, completely dedicated to securing the best possible terms for the company. It was one of the many qualities that made her invaluable to LUNE.
After several more minutes of discussion, Harin wrapped up the call, setting down her tablet with evident satisfaction. "That was Chae-won’s management team. They’re already moving forward with the contract negotiations, and they seem genuinely excited about the project. Her agent mentioned that Chae-won hasn’t been this enthusiastic about a role in years."
"That’s good to hear." Joon-ho nodded approvingly. "I want this handled properly, Harin. The contract needs to be airtight, protecting both sides while giving Chae-won the room she needs to deliver her best performance. Make sure the legal team reviews every clause, every condition, every potential scenario."
"I’m on it." Harin’s confidence was reassuring. "The legal department is already drafting the preliminary documents, and I’ll personally review each revision before anything goes to the other side. We’re not cutting corners here—this is going to set the standard for how LUNE does business at this level."
She paused, then continued, "I’ll be meeting with the production team later today to discuss the timeline adjustments. With Chae-won’s schedule, we’ll need to be precise about filming dates, promotional commitments, and any potential conflicts with her other obligations. It’s going to require careful coordination, but we can make it work."
Joon-ho studied her for a moment, noting the dark circles under her eyes, the slight tension around her mouth that suggested she’d been pushing herself hard. Harin was devoted to LUNE, to his vision, and to making sure everything ran smoothly. But that devotion sometimes came at the expense of her own well-being.
"You’re working too hard again," he observed, his tone mild but pointed. "I appreciate the dedication, Harin, truly. But not at the cost of your health. Remember what we discussed about balance—you can’t pour from an empty cup."
Harin waved off his concern with a dismissive gesture. "I’m fine, really. Just a few late nights getting everything organized. This is a big opportunity for us, and I want to make sure we don’t miss anything. Once the contract is finalized and the production schedule is locked in, things will settle down."
"See that they do." Joon-ho’s voice was firm. "I’m serious about this. If I find you sleeping in your office again, I’ll personally carry you home and tuck you into bed myself. And I won’t be gentle about it."
Harin laughed, the sound bright and genuine. "I’ll keep that in mind. But seriously, this contract is crucial. We need to get every detail right—the compensation structure, the intellectual property rights, the exclusivity clauses, the options for sequels or spinoffs. Chae-won’s involvement elevates the entire project, and we need to make sure the paperwork reflects that level of commitment."
She stood, gathering her tablet and several folders. "If there’s nothing else urgent, I should head to the conference room. The team is waiting for me to go over the preliminary terms. I want us to be prepared before we sit down with Chae-won’s representatives."
"Go." Joon-ho nodded. "I’ll hold down the fort here. Just remember what I said about pacing yourself."
"I will." Harin promised, already heading toward the door. "Oh, and Mirae is looking for you—she mentioned she had something to show you. Might want to check in with her when you have a chance."
With that, she was gone, leaving Joon-ho alone in the office. He stood and moved around the desk, settling into the CEO’s chair with a satisfied sigh. The space was comfortable, well-designed, and offered a panoramic view of the city through the floor-to-ceiling windows. This was his domain now, the center of operations for everything he was building, and it felt right.
He leaned back, allowing himself a rare moment of relaxation. The past few days had been intense—gaming with Dong, securing Chae-won, navigating the complex web of alliances and rivalries that defined Seoul’s elite. But progress was being made, step by calculated step.
The door opened without a knock, and Mirae stepped inside, her expression bright with anticipation. She was dressed comfortably in casual clothes that somehow still looked expensive, her hair pulled back in a simple ponytail that highlighted her natural beauty.
"There you are." She smiled warmly when she saw him. "Harin mentioned you’d be here. I’ve been looking all over for you."
"I’ve been in meetings." Joon-ho returned her smile. "What brings you by? You sounded excited about something."
"I am." Mirae’s eyes danced with enthusiasm. "Have you heard the news? About Chae-won joining the project?"
"Word gets around." Joon-ho acknowledged. "It’s a significant addition to the cast."
"Significant? It’s phenomenal!" Mirae’s enthusiasm was evident. "I’ve admired Chae-won’s work for years. She’s incredibly talented, and the idea of working with her—of going toe-to-toe on screen with someone of her caliber—it’s honestly a dream come true. This is going to push me to be better, to dig deeper, to deliver something extraordinary."
She moved closer, her expression turning more serious. "The dynamic between our characters... it’s going to be incredible to explore. The protagonist and the antagonist, two women at the height of their power, each driven by their own convictions, each believing completely in their own version of the truth. That kind of conflict, that kind of emotional complexity—it’s rare in this industry."
"Which is exactly why I wanted you for the lead." Joon-ho replied. "You have the range to handle it, Mirae. And with Chae-won opposite you, I think we’re going to see performances that redefine what’s possible in Korean cinema."
"I hope so." Mirae’s confidence was tempered with humility. "I’ve been studying the script, really diving into the character’s psychology. There’s so much to work with there—the trauma, the ambition, the struggle to maintain integrity in a world that rewards manipulation. It’s going to be challenging, but that’s what makes it worthwhile."
She stepped back, gesturing toward the door. "Actually, I came to show you something. Something related to the character, something I’ve been working on with the costume designers. Do you have a moment?"
"Always." Joon-ho rose from the chair, following her out of the office.
They moved through the building, passing staff members who greeted them with respectful nods. Mirae led him toward the studio wing, where the creative teams worked on visual concepts, costume designs, and set preparations. The atmosphere was different here—more artistic, more experimental, filled with the energy of people bringing ideas to life.
"My personal studio is this way." Mirae indicated a door at the end of the corridor. "I’ve been spending a lot of time here lately, working on character development, trying different looks, experimenting with different approaches to the role."
She ushered him inside, and Joon-ho found himself in a space that was both functional and deeply personal. Mirae had clearly made this her own—posters from her previous films lined the walls, scripts were scattered across tables, and racks of costumes occupied one corner. It was a workspace that reflected her dedication to her craft.
"Have a seat." Mirae gestured toward a comfortable chair near a large mirror. "I’ll just be a few minutes. I want to try on something specific and get your honest opinion."
She disappeared behind a changing screen, and Joon-ho made himself comfortable, his eyes roaming over the details of the studio. This was Mirae’s sanctuary, the space where she developed her characters, where she explored different aspects of herself through her art. It was intimate, revealing, and gave him insight into the woman behind the actress.
He could hear the soft rustle of clothing, the sound of zippers being adjusted, and then silence as Mirae worked on her transformation. Joon-ho waited patiently, curious about what she wanted to show him. Mirae had excellent instincts for her characters, for what worked on camera and what didn’t. If she thought this was worth his attention, he trusted her judgment.
Minutes passed, and then the screen was pushed aside, and Mirae stepped into view.
Joon-ho felt his breath catch at the sight of her. She’d transformed completely, and the effect was stunning.
The costume was inspired by a fox spirit—a traditional Korean mythical creature known for its cunning, its beauty, and its ability to manipulate. Mirae wore a short skirt that barely covered her hips, the fabric a deep rust color that complemented her skin tone. Above, a top was designed to emphasize her breasts while leaving little to the imagination—cut to expose strategic amounts of cleavage, structured to push her assets together and create an eye-catching display.
But it was the details that made it truly remarkable. The fox ears perched atop her head were realistic, designed to move slightly with her movements, adding an element of playful allure. And behind her, a fluffy fox tail attached to the costume swayed gently with each step, completing the transformation in a way that was both charming and undeniably sexy.
Mirae moved toward him, her hips swaying with practiced grace, her eyes fixed on his with a knowing smile. She was no longer just Mirae the actress—she was the fox spirit itself, captivating and dangerous, beautiful and untamed.
"What do you think?" Her voice was lower than usual, carrying a seductive quality that matched her appearance. "The costume designers did amazing work, don’t you agree? They captured exactly what I envisioned for the character—a creature of instinct and desire, someone who uses her beauty and wits to survive in a world that would otherwise consume her."
She stopped directly in front of him, close enough that he could smell her perfume, close enough that he could see the spark of mischief in her eyes. Mirae was tempting him, deliberately and unapologetically, and the effect was impossible to ignore.
"The character is supposed to be mesmerizing," she continued, her fingers tracing the line of her collarbone, drawing his attention to the curves of her body. "Someone who can make people forget their own names, who can bend them to her will with just a look. I wanted to make sure I could embody that—make you believe it, even with just a costume and a pose."
She turned slightly, giving him a better view of the outfit, her tail swishing behind her with deliberate movement. "Does it work? Can you see the fox spirit when you look at me? Or do you just see Mirae playing dress-up?"
Joon-ho’s eyes roamed over her, taking in every detail—the way the top emphasized her breasts, the short skirt that revealed her legs, the fox ears and tail that added an element of playful sexuality. It was an incredible transformation, one that showcased Mirae’s ability to become whoever she needed to be for a role.
But more than that, it was undeniably arousing. Mirae was beautiful at the best of times, but in this costume, with this attitude, she was breathtaking. The combination of her natural allure, the thoughtful design, and the deliberate way she was presenting herself—it was a potent cocktail that Joon-ho found impossible to resist.
"It works." His voice was slightly rougher than usual, betraying his reaction. "You’re not just playing dress-up, Mirae. You’ve become the character—every bit of it. The costume designers outdid themselves, but you’re the one bringing it to life."
Mirae’s smile widened, pleased by his response. She moved closer still, until her legs were nearly touching his, until he could feel the warmth of her body radiating outward. Her eyes never left his, reading his reaction, confirming what she already suspected.
"Good." Her voice was barely above a whisper now, laden with meaning. "Because the fox spirit has many ways of getting what she wants. And sometimes... she wants to play."
Her hand moved to his knee, her fingers tracing the fabric of his pants with deliberate intent. Mirae was tempting him, inviting him, and from the look in her eyes, she had every intention of following through.
Joon-ho reached out, his hand covering hers, his fingers lacing with hers. The contact was electric, sending a jolt of awareness through both of them. This wasn’t just about a costume fitting—it was about something deeper, more primal. The fox spirit had caught her prey, and she had no intention of letting him go.
