Since we didn’t want anybody tracing our energy back to us, we decided not to use it at all.

We did bump into a few Holy Knights along the way, but Aliyah dealt with them fairly easily.

Even so, we jumped from one mountain peak to another, crossing dozens of kilometers and eventually reaching the edge of the Pandora Mountain Range, which was separated by a several hundred meter wide canyon.

But beyond that canyon, there was a beautiful land, filled with cherry blossoms and several mountainous cities scattered all around.

Even though it was on the Western continent, the country of Hanazora was powerful enough to establish its own laws, among many other things...

It’s also where a lot of the powerhouses were gathered, including the Divine Healer.

"We’re finally here," Aliyah remarked.

Sighing, she turned to Clementine and me.

"I’ll try to get you two your official identification here. You see, the Divine Healer and I are pretty good friends."

More like the two of you were a couple at some point.

"That’s fine, though are you sure we won’t have people chasing us down and trying to collect our bounties?"

She shrugged.

"That’ll happen no matter where you go. But it’s not like I haven’t prepared you to fight back, so chin up. Let’s get going."

With that, she kicked off the mountain peak and arrived at the other side of the canyon.

But not before causing a massive avalanche that nearly dragged me down.

Though Clementine grabbed me, and then with a smirk, she hugged me tightly and kicked off, collapsing the rest of the mountain, as well as several mountains beside it.

On the other hand, like the helpless Grade 46 that I was, I rested my face in her breasts until finally landing and being forced to separate.

"Good. From here on out, don’t look at anyone funny, and definitely don’t use your Gifts out in the open. These people really don’t like Gifts."

Clementine and I nodded in unison, and then began walking toward the mountain cities in the distance.

By now, it was completely dark outside.

Yet the mountain cities were all lit up, appearing as beautiful as during the day, if not more.

Though it looked like we could only admire them from a distance, since Aliyah told us it would be best not to enter them yet.

But that’s fine.

Aside from the mountain cities, there were a few towns and villages scattered all around.

They weren’t as fancy, practically being considered the slums.

In reality, they were on the same level as Aldraazan when it came to technology, so I definitely didn’t have any issues with these towns or villages.

So we eventually entered one of the smaller towns.

It was pretty empty, but there were some people partying and drinking outside.

This was one of the rules the Hanazora country had changed.

Here, you can go outside after midnight and do whatever you want, so long as you’re back in your home by 8 o’clock in the morning.

Anyhow, the reactions of the people were a lot more tame than I expected.

Instead of fear, most of them just wore looks of surprise and began to gossip amongst each other.

Sure, there were a few that yelped and ran away...

Was it because of the alcohol?

"The people of Hanazora are used to seeing demons. In a way, this place can be considered neutral territory, or so I’m told."

I tilted my head at Aliyah’s words.

"I know it’s neutral territory, but I’ve never heard that even demons are considered part of neutral."

She shrugged.

"Believe it or not, there have been more human crimes than demon crimes in Hanazora. Despite the Holy Order’s disapproval, they aren’t throwing the demons out, and in turn, they are raking in a lot of damn money. Even I’m jealous."

Hmm...

I couldn’t remember that from the game.

Maybe that’s because the main character only visited the Divine Healer once or twice?

It looks like the country of Hanazora was pretty shallowly talked about in the game.

So for starters, we entered a lovely inn with a kind innkeeper and booked two rooms for ourselves.

One room for Aliyah, and one for Clementine and me.

After that, we went upstairs and stopped just before entering our rooms as Aliyah spoke up.

"The walls are paper thin, so don’t even think about doing something naughty. We’ll be continuing our journey in the morning. Good night."

Just like that, she entered her room, leaving the two of us just standing there, slightly embarrassed.

Even so, we entered our room and noticed that it was pretty small and cozy.

But considering I could literally see Aliyah with my Blood-Sight, the walls really were definitely very thin.

So as much as I disliked it, today = no funny business.

"Wanna hop in the shower first?" I asked.

She thought about it for a moment, then nodded.

And while she approached the bathroom, I decided to check for any kinds of tracking crystals or hidden daggers. Thankfully, there weren’t any.

After Clementine was done with the shower, she put on a cute black cat pajama and tucked herself into bed.

Naturally, I went ahead and showered as well.

By the time I came out, I noticed Clementine had rotated the bed a bit further from Aliyah’s wall.

Spotting me with only underwear on, she tapped my side of the bed with a smile.

So like the totally rational person that I was, I jumped into bed and hugged her tightly to the point she had to tickle me just to break free.

Though even then, as we rested on our own pillows, we continued staring into each other’s eyes.

"Have I ever told you that you’re beautiful?"

"Pfft... many times."

"Hmm~? I guess I should tell you that you’re beautiful a little more, shouldn’t I?"

The two of us teased each other back and forth, until we were close enough to where our feet were all over each other.

By now, I was a little sleepy.

Still...

"Hey, can I... you know, touch?"

Clementine blinked a few times, her ears slowly turning red.

But just then, I heard her unhook her bra and place it at the side of the bed before finally scooting over a little closer to me.

With a faint smile on my face, I slipped my hand into the gap in her pajamas and comfortably rested my hand on her warm breast.

I immediately felt relaxed, like all the stress I went through the past month just went away.

And honestly? It did.

"Hey, Amon?"

"Yeah?"

"What will we do after we go see the Divine Healer?"

I fell into thought for a moment.

As it stood, our current circumstances really limited us in what we could do.

I thought of maybe going around and recruiting some nobles and building an army.

Nobles like the Vermillions...

Yeah.

That’s no longer happening.

Instead, we could do something more selfish.

I enveloped us in several dozen Telekinetic Barriers, until no one would be able to hear us anymore.

Then, I met Clementine’s eyes and said:

"North of Hanazora is an area inhabited by the Sun Vampires. They have a forbidden ritual that lets someone increase the purity of their energy. It increases energy capacity and the power of the energy, basically."

Squeezing her breast to refresh my memory, I added:

"We’d need to endure a lot of pain, as well as convince the Sun Vampires not to kill us on sight. But if we go through with this, we definitely wouldn’t regret it."

"Befriend vampires... I don’t like it."

She lowered her head slightly.

"But I trust you, and I trust that you considered all options before suggesting this one."

My smile softened.

"Of course I did. And don’t worry, I have a few tricks up my sleeve when it comes to that type of vampire race."

With that, we just silently lay there for the next couple of minutes.

It was a comfortable silence.

A pleasant silence.

"...What about what Kai said? About you meeting your retainer or whatever? Don’t you think it might be time soon?"

"I believe so. Nearly five weeks have passed since then, so it might happen sometime in spring."

And as it so happens, spring starts next week.

I still hoped that we could finish the forbidden Sun Vampire ritual, as well as get my Wrath Transformation in check, before that.

Anyhow, that was more than enough chatter, so I gave Clementine a quick kiss on her lips, and after squeezing her breast as though it was a stress ball, I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
