Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game-Chapter 190: Rachel [ 2 ]
"Elise is fine," I replied.
Then, I took a few steps toward her. Only when I was close enough did I realize that despite her malnourished body, she looked slightly older than Elise.
Could she be the older sister?
"When we met, she was drinking coffee and eating delicious food. She was also very worried about you."
She just stared at me for a moment.
That was until she raised her hands and wrapped them around the chain that was on her neck. To my genuine surprise, the chain began to glow slightly as tiny cracks appeared along it.
And in just a few seconds, I watched in awe and shock as the chain that had been around her neck suddenly dropped to the ground and shattered.
"I agree to your requests. So free me."
"Not until you send me the contract," I said.
"..."
[Rachel, The Divine Beast of Life has proposed a contract.][Description: You must free Rachel from her shackles and unseal her. In exchange, Rachel, The Divine Beast of Life will never directly or indirectly harm you or those who are close to you. She will also maintain secrecy of whatever happened between you two.] 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
The Divine Beast of Life?
That seemed like a little bit of a stretch, considering how lifeless she looked right now.
But despite that, I nodded, agreeing to the contract.
"How do I unseal you?"
"Break the rest of my chains, then absorb the shackle in my heart," Rachel replied plainly.
"You seem pretty capable of breaking the rest of those chains, though?" I mused.
But after not getting much of an answer from her, I decided to just wing it.
I approached her and crouched down.
Grabbing one of the chains, I tried to first overload it with black lightning. However, that didn’t even make the chains budge a little, almost like my black lightning was completely useless here.
And that was surprising, considering just how much my energy had increased and enhanced itself.
But since I still had my Telekinesis to turn to, I quickly enveloped her chain with my Telekinesis and tried to pull it apart with sheer force. I heard it make some noises, but clearly, even Telekinesis didn’t stand a chance here.
Plain Telekinesis, that is.
Instead of any of this muscle-brain stuff, I focused on the atoms of the chain. To my genuine surprise, the chain had trillions more atoms in one place than any human ever did. Upon closer look, I also realized that the chain wasn’t particularly made out of one material, but hundreds and thousands of different materials.
Among those materials were bones that seemed to take up the majority of the atoms there. The bones weren’t ordinary bones either, but some kind of strange bones that contained an abnormal amount of energy. Their color was also golden for some reason...
Just then, I recalled what Elise had told me.
They needed the help of the heroes, the Demon Realm, and even the Gods that might have existed back then to seal these Divine Beasts down here.
Could these bones belong to the gods?
With those thoughts swirling in my mind, I decided to start slowly using Atomic Destabilization on the atoms. It was difficult at first, since the amount of energy I needed to even erase a few hundred of the atoms belonging to the gods’ bones took a lot out of me.
But in just a few hours of back and forth, I managed to erase a whole line spanning from the top of the chain to the bottom. I even pierced the bone.
And when I finally snapped out of it, I wrapped my hands around the chain and then pulled with all my might, snapping it off Rachel’s leg and causing it to turn to dust.
"Only one more left."
"...I see you’ve already encountered one of those heretics."
"Hmm?"
I raised my head, meeting Rachel’s eyes.
"What do you mean?"
"Shortly after the gods perished, there were a couple of heretics who sought me out for the chains around my arms."
Rachel scoffed.
"The bones of dead gods aren’t enough to revive them. Strengthening themselves? Maybe."
I quickly picked up on what she was getting at.
"People came down here?"
"They have."
And then they extracted the gods’ bones from her chains before leaving her alone, huh?
I guess that would explain why there were no chains around her arms.
But heretics...
She mentioned that I met someone already.
...Who could it be?
I combed my mind around that thought, while also carefully trying to break Rachel’s second chain.
Evil people whom I’ve met...
There really is only one person who matches that bill, isn’t there?
Kai.
Back when I fought him, I remember him mentioning something interesting.
Isn’t it interesting the extent our Gifts can go to with enough practice? I mean, just look at this. I’m basically one step away from creating life itself. I just have to work around creating these disgusting creatures first.
Is that your goal? Creating life?
Of course not. I don’t care about something so plain and lifeless. What I’m aiming for is a little bit beyond that.
That conversation with Kai was still vivid in my mind.
And clearly, Rachel had some way to see who I’ve talked to, so while I was freeing her, I decided to ask her about it.
"Is Kai the one you were talking about?"
"Perhaps."
Rachel looked away.
"I would appreciate it if you didn’t talk much. My ears are still ringing, as it’s been a while since I last took this form."
Ah.
Well, I guess I’ll just have to focus on my own thoughts then.
After all, if I knew anything about Rachel, then I was sure she wouldn’t say something without some deeper meaning behind it.
So just like that, I spent another couple of hours dealing with the chain around her leg. This one was a little sturdier, but even so, once it snapped off and fell to the floor, I stood up and backed off slightly.
I was done taking the chains off.
But now... I needed to absorb whatever shackle was in her heart.
