Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game-Chapter 207: Training [ 2 ]
I approached Kevin, and when I saw him just standing there, doing absolutely nothing, I felt a little pissed.
"Didn’t I tell you to warm up?"
"I’m already warm."
"Right... And you think that you being somewhat warm from earlier is enough to challenge me?"
Kevin cocked his head back slightly.
"What’s your problem with me? I feel like ever since we first met, you’ve had something against me. Just tell me what it is so we can move past it."
What a pacifist.
But eh.
I didn’t really have anything against him.
I just had a lot of expectations for him, since I knew just how powerful he could become if he stopped being naive.
"Is it my swordsmanship?"
At his words, I raised a brow.
"You think I don’t like you because of your swordsmanship?"
He nodded.
"If that’s not it, then what is it?"
I didn’t answer him. Instead, I unsheathed my katana and pointed it at him.
He rolled his eyes and reached into his dimensional ring.
Once he pulled out his ’sword,’ I remembered something.
"Ah..."
"You broke it."
He tossed his sword back into his dimensional ring and then took out two wooden training swords. He tossed one toward me.
I sheathed my sword and caught the wooden one. It had the name ’Kevin’ inscribed in the handle, and if I wasn’t mistaken...
"Try not to break these... My grandfather crafted them for my 14th birthday."
He rolled back his sleeve and revealed both his arms.
To my genuine surprise, it was almost like he had stuck both of his arms in a furnace. They were completely red, swollen, and looked very disgusting.
But judging by his blank expression, he couldn’t care less about his scarred appearance, as the most important thing was power.
I admired this side of him.
The ever-so-dedicated protagonist who stops at nothing to achieve his goals.
Haha.
"We’ll be learning Sword Intent today," I said.
Then, I decided to give him a short showcase.
I turned toward the nearby boulder. It was giant, nearly twice my size.
And yet, with the wooden sword in hand and not a single trace of energy in sight, I slashed the wooden sword downward.
My slash was so fast that it was nearly invisible to the naked eye. Yet, as the ground started to rumble slightly, the boulder suddenly cracked open, then split down the middle perfectly.
But that was not all, as beyond the boulder, a thin ravine stretched out for exactly 10 meters and stopped before it reached the edge of the cliff.
It was very precise. The ravine was also very deep. I could, at a moment’s notice, just kick the gap and cause one side of the mountain to topple over.
Instead of doing that, I forcefully brought the mountain together with my Telekinesis, making it seem as though nothing had happened.
Yet Kevin had more than enough time to see it. The others did as well.
Clementine wasn’t surprised, as she’s seen me do more impressive things.
But as for Isabelle, she was shocked. I had the feeling that she would start stalking me again like she did before. Thankfully, I had Clementine to keep her in check when it came to stalking me.
Anyhow, I took my attention off the women and glanced over at the stunned Kevin.
I wasn’t Aliyah, and since I wanted him to get stronger, I decided to be blunt with him.
"Sword Intent is pretty simple for us. It’s like using our Gifts and imagining something happening. In this case, you must first imagine that action inside your mind. Afterwards, you do that exact action in real life."
I approached him and tapped his shoulder with my wooden sword.
"You can add buffs to your weapon when you do this. There’s simple stuff like making it unbreakable, sharper, and a few others. I made it sharper and unbreakable just now."
Basically, it was as simple as it could get, and if Eric didn’t go around in circles and tell me that right off the bat, I would’ve been able to do it on the first try.
Kevin listened patiently, then tilted his head.
"Can I enhance my swordsmanship to make it faster?"
I nodded.
"Of course. But for now, focus on the basics. If your foundation is terrible, I won’t even bother teaching you anything. Look here."
I walked over to another boulder and tapped it with my sword.
"Use one arm and create a hole straight through it with a thrust."
The reason I’m suggesting thrusts is because his swordsmanship mainly focuses on thrust attacks.
Naturally, he’d be more accustomed to it, and using Sword Intent should be easier. Once he gets it down, I’ll make him do harder stuff, of course.
"Try it out."
Kevin stared at me for a moment, then stepped forward. He approached the boulder and then entered a simple but effective thrusting posture.
He thrust the sword forward. Before it could connect, I enveloped his whole body and the sword in my Telekinesis, stopping him.
"Your sword was about to break since you used energy at the end. Don’t do that."
"..."
He grumbled and tried again.
This time, he just struck the boulder with a weak thrust, barely managing to even leave a scratch on it.
I was immediately reminded of my time training, as I had done the literal exact thing.
The hardest part of Sword Intent was actually having enough intent yourself to go through with the action.
Obviously, he had more at stake here, since if he were to break his grandpa’s wooden sword, he’d be devastated.
Weak hit after weak hit... He continued going at it. In the meantime, I observed him from the side, trying to find better ways to help him.
But I kind of felt conflicted at just how much he had suffered already. His whole body was in tatters, and although he looked okay-ish on the outside, Blood Sight told me that his whole inner body was a mess.
I would bother Clementine to heal him, but then again, I had the ability to heal people too.
I coughed once, getting Kevin’s attention.
Then, I slashed my palm slightly and, after taking out a bottle from my dimensional ring, poured the blood inside. Once the bottle was full, I tossed it over to Kevin, who caught it with a disgusted look.
"This is...?"
"Drink it. It’s a healing potion."
His brows twitched.
"Are we going to act like you didn’t just drain your blood into this bottle?"
I shrugged.
"It’s still a healing potion."
"...You’re a bit more radical than I remember."
At his words, I tilted my head slightly.
Radical was a weird way of calling me different.
But then again...
"What do you know? It’s not like we were friends before."
"..."
Kevin stored my healing potion inside his dimensional ring and turned back to the boulder. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
"You’re right. We weren’t."
