Chapter 128: Chapter 128:Dungeon Discovery [4]

Behind me, a sudden scream echoed.

"DON’T GO IN!"

If I went inside the broken portal, all the beasts in the real world would disappear and be transported back inside.

However, in turn, I would have to defeat, not just the boss monster, but all the monsters inside the portal to leave.

In the next second, a wolf, covered in grey and red fur, leaped out of the portal, landing a few feet before me.

If these beasts got past me, they would go disrupt the excavation spots where dormant dungeons lay and activate them.

Using a few time elemental particles to recover my tired muscles, I sprinted forward with my sword horizontally at my waist.

*WHOOSH*

Before the wolf could react, it had already been diced into two by my sword.

Yet, like a monster spawner, the portal kept spitting out more and more wolves, each one stronger than the last.

Within a few moments, there was a horde of wolves standing by the tree, filling up the cliffside.

In fact, there were so many that the cliffside didn’t have space for the new beasts being spit out.

The bloodhound wolves in the front were smaller, around the size of a big dog, whereas the ones in the back were closer to human size.

Sighing, I recalled Daisy’s words.

Being a sharpshooter sounded so good at this moment.

As I sprinted to the left, a small horde of wolves followed me; however, without any hesitation, I leaped right off the cliffside.

Consequently, about a dozen wolves were pushed off the edge to their deaths as all of them immediately tried to stop their charge.

Using the slow-motion falling, I moved in the air back to the cliffside, aiming to land in the middle of the wolves.

However, right below me, a massive wolf sat with its mouth wide open, ready to catch me with its sharp, white jaws.

Easily doing a flip in the air, I pointed my blade straight downward into the wolf’s open mouth and plunged it right through the wolf’s body.

As it lifelessly fell to the ground, I landed atop its corpse, immediately being surrounded by dozens of smaller wolves.

I was like a sailor on a small raft surrounded by sharks in the middle of the ocean.

Tens... no hundreds of holagraphic lines with timers appeared atop the wolves and led to me, predicting their leaps and future attacks.

My entire body was covered by small blue dots, which made my figure shine and further damaged my eyes.

Commanding my extraordinary fast time particles to flood toward my hand, I sensed the mana particles following before...leaping back into the air.

With this rabbit boost and slow-falling effect, I had as much time as I needed.

Enough time to gather all the mana particles necessary into my hand.

At least...for now.

Suddenly, a large figure emerged from the portal, nearly knocking down the tree.

The first wave’s miniboss.

Standing on four feet, the wolf had two pairs of blood-red demonic wings, starting at its shoulders and stretching all the way back to its tail.

With one flap, it burst into the air at a 45-degree angle, right toward my slowly descending figure.

However, with a simple kick at the air, I pushed myself to the left and dodged its attack, watching it fly right past me like an arrow.

Like an arrow shot from a bow, once the wolf started moving in one direction, it couldn’t stop for at least two seconds.

Feeling a large amount of mana particles concentrated in my right palm, I slowly but surely started moving the time particles toward my middle finger.

Like a leader leading their army on a shaky bridge over a large chasm, the time particles led the blue particles toward my fingertip, causing blue veins to appear around my middle finger.

Simultaneously, the flying wolf would shoot at me like a cannonball, breaking my focus and causing a few mana particles to leak out of my palm and into the world or fall into the chasm.

That, combined with the occasional wolf attempting to jump at me from the ground and bite my legs, made my entire head ache.

At the very least, though, no more beasts were being thrown out by the portal.

After three consecutive jumps, I finally felt my middle finger tingle and tremble as if it were about to implode.

What would a time elemental slash look like?

What color would it be?

Landing atop the corpse of the wolf from earlier, one last time, I felt my entire body surge with pain as a wolf bit at my ankle, tearing a hole in my socks.

Boosting myself upward in the air, I watched as the flying wolf flew at my body at a 45-degree angle.

Pushing myself right and angling my sword horizontally, with one hand on the hilt and the other at the tip of the blade like, I waited till the perfect moment.

Right as the wolf flew below me, narrowly missing me, I released the time-elemental particles from my middle finger.

And like a dam bursting, my middle finger...

*SNAP*

It simply couldn’t handle the amount of elemental and mana particles inside.

The top party limply hung downward, not responding to my brain’s commands.

But, with nowhere left to go, the mana particles and elemental particles with it simultaneously flooded into my sword’s hilt.

An elemental slash requires three substances to create.

A sword, the user’s elemental particles, and their mana.

I now had all three.

Activating elemental sight, I gazed at my sword, and sure enough, countless grey time elemental particles surrounded it.

But....actually touching the sword itself, there were many tiny blue particles.

My hand on the sword’s tip began trembling, struggling to contain all the energy and threatening to drop the sword.

So, with the sword aimed at the ground and the flying wolf right in front of it, I moved both my hands downward.
