Transmigrated as the Stepmother of a Rebellious Heir-Chapter 359 - 197 The Snowman
Chapter 359: Chapter 197 The Snowman
The first light of day was breaking when Fu Siyu opened his eyes. He turned his head to see that Shu Wan was still asleep. He put on his clothes and went downstairs.
The strong winds and heavy snow had ravaged the night, but with the sunrise, the world had once again become tranquil.
The golden rays of light pierced through the clouds, casting a dazzling glow on the snow, reflecting countless specks of light.
The snow that had accumulated overnight slid off the trees, the force of the descent causing the branches to tremble incessantly. Sunlight flickered through the gaps in the branches and leaves, shining through the window onto the bed.
As time passed, the temperature on Shu Wan’s face gradually increased. Her eyelashes quivered and then slowly opened.
Before her eyes lay the Cedar Forest bathed in the golden morning sunlight.
The green pine trees dotted the white snowscape, rolling on under the golden light, presenting a clean and sacred beauty.
Shu Wan changed her clothes and went downstairs, where the servants were already waiting in the living room. freēwēbnovel.com
Upon seeing Shu Wan, everyone bowed respectfully and greeted, "Good morning, madam."
"Hmm," Shu Wan waved her hand, "Where is Fu Siyu?"
"The young master is outside in the yard. He said to find him when you were up."
"Okay."
Shu Wan stepped outside the villa, a fresh chill bearing a faint scent of pine greeted her.
The snow was deep; stepping into it, her entire foot sunk into the snow, feeling like stepping on soft cotton. Shu Wan couldn’t help but stomp a few more times.
Suddenly, a soft laughter came from ahead.
Shu Wan looked up to see Fu Siyu standing there with a smile in his eyes.
Next to him stood a large snowman, and beside it, many small animals made of snow.
"Pretty, aren’t they? I made them this morning."
"Hmm." Shu Wan nodded and walked over to earnestly examine the large snowman.
"I’ll make one for you." Fu Siyu took a shovel and handed it to Shu Wan.
Shu Wan, who already loved snowy weather, was naturally happy to have such a great opportunity to play in the snow.
The heavy snow on the mountain was fun to shovel; a single scoop could turn up a large pile of snow.
Soon, the rudimentary shape of a snowman began to take form under Shu Wan’s hands.
The snowman still lacked features and arms. Shu Wan turned to pick up some twigs when Fu Siyu had already brought over the twigs and other materials needed to make the features.
Taking them from him, Shu Wan inserted the twigs in the position of the snowman’s arms, making it look like it was waving. She used grapes for the eyes and a strawberry for the lips, whereas the buttons on the clothes were made of Oreo cookies.
Shu Wan hadn’t eaten much the previous night, and hadn’t eaten anything this morning either. Now, smelling the sweet scent of the cookies, she couldn’t resist and took a piece to eat.
Fu Siyu had only taken three cookies to use as buttons for the snowman, and now that Shu Wan had eaten one, the remaining two cookies seemed insufficient for the snowman’s belly.
Shu Wan frowned slightly, regretting her impulsive snack.
Fu Siyu, standing aside, watched the entire process of Shu Wan sneakily eating a cookie and regretting it.
He took out his cell phone, and sent a red packet in a group chat.
The group only had three people, aside from Fu Siyu, both others were abroad and it was dinner time for them.
Seeing Fu Siyu suddenly send a red packet, the other two were puzzled as it was out of character for him who seldom used his cell phone, let alone engage in these social tools.
"Brother Fu, what’s this about?"
Fu Siyu quickly sent a picture of the snowman into the group, "Pretty cute."
"??????"
"Have you been hacked??"
The two were skeptical, as this was entirely not Fu Siyu’s style.
However, someone soon pointed out, "Ha, is that show-off for the snowman?"
Upon closer inspection, alright, they understood. Beside the snowman was a woman’s shadow; Fu Siyu wasn’t really praising the snowman, he was clearly calling his wife cute.
".....so great having a wife."
Even though Fu Siyu’s wife-showing-off behavior might attract envy in a group of singles, everyone was genuinely curious who the woman was that could make the tough-as-steel Fu Siyu become so tender and compliant.
Back in the villa, having sent the message, Fu Siyu turned off his phone. He walked up to the front, observing the snowman for a while, "Still missing something."
"What’s that?"
Fu Siyu unwrapped a small red chocolate and placed it under the big snowman’s ear.
Shu Wan realized that the big snowman Fu Siyu had built was himself.
Then, Fu Siyu walked over to the small snowman Shu Wan had made and poked two dimples on its face.
The twigs of the big and small snowman interlaced, and from afar, they looked like they were holding hands.
Fu Siyu turned his head, the sunrise caught in his eyes. A breeze fluttered by, bringing down the snow from the treetops onto their shoulders, as if they were celestial lovers.
The two finished breakfast on the mountain and prepared to descend as they still had job tasks waiting.
However, the overnight snow had sealed the mountain, making it impossible to even find the paths, let alone descend.
As noon approached, the sky began to drop heavy snow again, completely sealing the mountain.
Because of the heavy snow, the villa’s internet temporarily collapsed, leaving Shu Wan unaware that her and Fu Siyu’s night on the mountain had once again stirred public opinion outside.
For, a professor from some university had publicly accused Shu Wan of plagiarizing academic results.
