Transmigrated Into the World of Magic and Swords-Chapter 137: Tight Situation
Chapter 137: Tight Situation
Ariana’s grip on her daggers tightened as she rushed toward the assassins and Daniel.
Even though she was a powerful Master rank warrior, she didn’t have the upper hand in the fight because two of the assassins were also at the Master rank.
As Ariana was facing them head-on, Zaria used her magic to support Ariana.
She used Wind Bullet and Earth Needle magic to strike their enemies while she cast Earth Shield magic to protect Ariana from their attacks.
Although their teamwork was good, they still could not turn the tide. Zaria was only a 2-star mage, so what she could do was limited.
"Die, princess Zaria!" Arven, the blue-haired assassin, sneered as he swung his golden spear, sending out a wave of energy at Zaria.
Zaria immediately summoned an Earth Shield, but it shattered into pieces from the force of the attack, causing debris to fly into the air.
Panic flashed in her eyes as she stumbled back.
She intended to leap to the left to avoid the attack, but time was not on her side. With no time to evade, she desperately raised her staff to block the incoming strike.
"Princess Zaria!" Ariana’s face turned worried when she saw Zaria in a dangerous situation.
Without hesitation, she stopped fighting the assassins and used her Shadow Steps skill, disappearing from sight in a blur of motion.
In the next second, Ariana appeared before Zaria with her daggers raised in defense.
The powerful wave of energy crashed into her daggers and the impact vibrated through her daggers, causing her arms to tremble under the pressure.
Ariana gritted her teeth as the force of Arven’s strike pushed her back, but her determination to protect Zaria remained unshakeable.
"I won’t let you hurt princess Zaria!" Ariana shouted as she dug her feet into the ground, pushing against the overwhelming force.
But despite unleashing her full power, she still failed to block the attack.
She was not in good condition, and Arven’s attack was powerful, so she was thrown into mid-air shortly after that.
Boom!
The tree fell as her body crashed against it.
"Cough! Cough!" Ariana coughed up blood after falling to the ground.
"Ariana!" Zaria rushed toward her subordinate and helped her up.
"Oh? You managed to survive my attack? Not bad, old woman!" Arven said as he rested his golden spear on his right shoulder. "But your body is clearly on the verge of breaking. It seems like we don’t need to attack you again because I believe you will be dead soon enough." fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
"Princess Zaria, just stop this futile struggle. You won’t be able to change your fate." Daniel believed Zaria would die because they had three Master rank warriors.
"You vile traitor, how dar-cough...cough...cough..." Ariana coughed up blood before she could finish her words.
"Old woman, you should stay silent or else you will die from coughing later. Haha." Daniel’s mocking laugh echoed in the entire area.
"You!" Ariana’s eyes were bloodshot.
She really wanted to tear his body apart, but her current condition made it difficult to do so, especially with the assassins backing him up.
"I regret saving your life, Daniel. You are trash! I should have let you rot in the street where you belong." Zaria’s voice was filled with hatred and anger.
She didn’t expect that her good intentions would put them in a life-and-death situation. If she could turn back time, she would definitely let him die on the street because he was trash.
No!
Calling him trash was still too nice because some trash would not bite their saviors.
Lower than trash!
Yes, he was lower than trash because not only did he betray his savior, but he even wanted to kill her, too.
If there were a disgusting race, he would belong to that race because he didn’t deserve to be someone from the human race.
"Oh, how dramatic! You think your insults will hurt me? You think your regret matters?" Daniel’s lips curled up into a mocking smile. "You are really naive, princess Zaria. Did you honestly believe I would remain loyal to you? Did you think I would serve you forever, just because you saved my life?"
He took a step forward and continued, "You know what is the real tragedy, princess Zaria? It’s not that I betrayed you. The real tragedy is that you are too blind to see that I’ve always been this way. You were just too fool to notice it."
Zaria clenched her fist, and angry flames flickered in her eyes.
She hated to admit it, but what he said was right.
She had been fooled by his innocent face!
However, she could not do anything now because it had happened.
’We will die if we can’t run away from this place.’
She began to think of a way to escape from their enemies.
"Princess Zaria, I will attack them again. Please use that chance to leave this place." Ariana knew that Zaria would die if she didn’t run away, so she decided to sacrifice herself.
"No!" Zaria refused. "I will stay with you no matter what."
Ariana was her only trusted subordinate, so she didn’t want to lose her. And she was not afraid of death either, so she chose to stay with her.
Ariana was touched by Zaria’s words, but it didn’t change her mind. "You are a princess and you are still young, so you shouldn’t die in this place. Please listen to me this time, princess."
"No!" Zaria refused again. "If you stay, I will stay. That is final!"
When Ariana was about to say something, Arven asked, "Are you done making plans? Can we attack you again?"
Zaria and Ariana shifted their gaze to Arven.
"It seems like you have finished making plans. Then, I will attack you again." After saying that, Arven rushed toward Ariana and Zaria, followed by the other assassins.
As the assassins were trying to kill Ariana and Zaria, Ren chatted happily with Luna and the others.
Like usual, Luna could make their journey enjoyable and lively.
They had not even realized three days had passed because her lively spirit made the time fly by.
"Big brother, let’s rest when we find a river or a lake." Luna was tired of sitting, so she wanted to play again.
"Sure." He agreed instantly.
’Hmm?’
He stopped the carriage when he saw people fighting a few dozen meters away from them.
"Why did you suddenly stop the carriage, Ren?" Scarlett asked curiously.
"Are there any bandits?" Lexie asked as she peered through the window behind the driver’s seat.
"Big brother, it’s the veil big sister. Help her, big brother!" even though Luna only met Zaria once, she still wanted him to help her.
"Alright." Ren put her inside the carriage and used the Lightning Movement skill to disappear from their sight.
At the same time, Zaria and Ariana were cornered by the assassins.
Their mana and spiritual energy were almost depleted, and four assassins attacked them together.
The assassins smirked when they saw Zaria’s expression because it was rare for her to make such an expression, especially when they were in their kingdom.
"Die, princess Zaria!" the green-haired assassin swung her sword forward, followed by other assassins.
