Transmigrated: Stealing the CEO husband-Chapter 33: Rebellion
Chapter 33 - Rebellion
Ariana had just allowed herself to relax when her phone beeped.
Her fingers swiped across the screen, eyes scanning the text from President Luiss's business number. It was mostly handled by Liam, his right-hand man.
[Your presence is requested at the office. Your leave is officially over.]
Ariana felt blood pool in her mouth.
Her grip tightened around the phone. So much for a break.
With a deep breath, she threw off her blanket, rose from bed, and changed into her sleek office attire. Her movements were swift, practiced, mechanical. Within minutes, she was behind the wheel, heading straight for Luiss Group Headquarters.
Ariana entered the topmost floor, making her way to President Luiss's office.
She knocked once. A firm, professional knock.
"Come in."
Pushing the door open, she stepped inside.
Luiss sat behind his massive mahogany desk, dressed in a crisp white shirt, the sleeves casually rolled up. His sharp eyes lifted to her the moment she entered.
"Did President Luiss need me for something?" she asked, her voice cool, maintaining the strict professional distance between them.
Luiss's lips curved into a faint smirk. "As a matter of fact, I did."
Without another word, he handed her a thick stack of documents.
"From now on," he said, his tone leaving no room for argument, "you will be sitting here. Close to me."
Ariana narrowed her eyes. "I don't see why that's necessary."
"I want to make sure you don't slack off."
Ariana: "..."
Total bullshit.
She swallowed the lump in her throat and took a measured breath.
But that wasn't the real issue.
Her next system task was clear—sleep with President Luiss.
And the system, being the cruel, heartless entity that it was, had worded it very clearly.
[Task: Sleep with President Luiss.][Elimination at all costs if failed.]
There was no other choice. No loopholes. No escape.
Ariana's grip on the documents tightened slightly.
Still, for now, she pushed the thought aside and focused on work.
She began assembling files, extracting useful data, and prioritizing proposals that would bring the most benefit to the company. She worked swiftly, efficiently—and when she was done, she handed the revised documents back to Luiss.
Luiss flipped through the files.
His eyebrows furrowed slightly.

"You put Skyline Project at the top," he noted, his gaze sharpening.
Ariana didn't blink. "Yes."
His eyes scanned the arrangement again. Something was different.
Ariana had prioritized high-risk, high-yield projects first. It was a stark contrast from before—previously, she had been cautious, only placing low-risk, moderate-profit proposals at the forefront.
"You're taking too much of a risk," he commented.
Ariana leaned back slightly, her expression unreadable. "I'm certain the Skyline Project won't make us lose out."
Luiss's gaze bored into her. "And how exactly do you know that?"
She met his stare head-on, unflinching. "I just know."
His fingers tapped against the desk, assessing her.
A moment of silence stretched between them.
Then, Luiss leaned back in his chair, his lips curving into a slow smirk.
"Oh, really?"
His gaze flickered downward, momentarily landing on her slightly bruised lips. And just like that, a memory surfaced—their kiss.
The soft press of her lips against his. The fleeting heat. The way her body had felt against him.
His smirk faded.
Damn it.
"Ariana," he spoke, breaking the silence.
She lifted her head slightly. "Yes?"
"If your 'I just know' turns out to be wrong..." His eyes darkened. "I will deduct the losses from your salary."
Ariana's lips curled into a small smile.
"Sure. But if my 'I just know' succeeds... I want a bonus."
Luiss chuckled. "Bold."
"Confident."
"Fine," he agreed. "We'll do it your way. Now, organize my schedule for the upcoming meetings."
Ariana nodded and got to work.
Not everyone was as composed as Luiss.
When the executive staff heard about the new investment strategy, chaos erupted.
James, one of the senior project managers, slammed his fist onto the table. "What bullshit! Skyline Project? We're allocating our task force to them?! That's the fastest way to go bankrupt!"
Several employees murmured in agreement.
"Did President Luiss not see the risks before accepting such an absurd proposal?"
"He must be blinded by that arrogant vixen..."
"Ariana."
The name was practically spat out like venom.
One of the men sneered. "When it comes to new projects, Luiss trusts her with a blind eye."
"I wouldn't be surprised if she's taking bribes from the Skyline Project," Alexander added coldly. "Ensuring the company accepts their offer while pocketing money on the side."
The accusations spread like wildfire.
Ariana never had a good reputation among the staff.
Firstly, her arrogance. She never played nice or sucked up to anyone.
Secondly, her strictness. She had no tolerance for slacking employees—and she made sure to keep everyone in line.
So naturally, the staff—especially the men—took every opportunity to tear her down.
James snorted, crossing his arms. "Women always create problems in management. That's why I've always said—they belong at home, raising kids. They have no place in corporate decision-making."
Several male employees nodded in agreement.
The few female employees present stiffened at the blatant sexism.
"That's completely unfair," one of the women spoke up. "Ariana may be strict, but she's—"
She was immediately shushed by the surrounding men.
Alexander leaned back, voice dripping with disdain. "We can't just sit still and let Luiss Group burn because of her reckless decisions."
"You're right," James sneered. "We should stage a rebellion against this absurd project."
A few others exchanged calculated glances before nodding in agreement.
James pushed back his chair and stood up.
"It's time to put an end to this."
With that, the rebellion had begun.
