Transmigrated: Stealing the CEO husband-Chapter 55: Make Male Lead Jealous
"It was my negligence, Ms. Grey." The manager gave a deep bow. "You may proceed to the VVIP room. Our workers will serve you."
How quickly the atmosphere changed left Katherine and Elizabeth speechless. They watched in humiliation as Ariana was led by the luxury fashion designer to the VVIP room.
Earlier now, they had caused quite a commotion. Many women had started staring at them. Not to mention, Katherine was someone famous. So many knew her already. They whispered amongst themselves, mocking Katherine behind her back.
Katherine couldn’t endure the mocking and left on her own.
Inside the VVIP room, a blond man with a black bead on his earlobes guided Ariana.
"Hello, I’m Signature Glam. For what purpose do you need a dress?"
"The Joint Venture party. It starts at noon."
"OK, let me check... hmmm... Looking at you, the new collection has the item that would suit you." The man seemed to take his job seriously as he selected a dress for her.
Two hours and countless tries later.
Ariana stood before the mirror, the soft glow of the vanity lights casting a golden hue over her reflection. Tonight’s event called for elegance-not the sweeping grandeur of a gown, but something that spoke of quiet sophistication. Her fingers traced the smooth fabric of her dress as she slipped it over her frame, the cool silk gliding effortlessly against her skin.
The sheath dress fit like a dream, its tailored structure hugging her form in a way that was neither too tight nor too loose. The rich midnight blue fabric, with its subtle satin sheen, reflected just enough light to create an air of understated luxury. It was midi-length, the hem brushing just below her knees, a length that allowed for grace in movement without sacrificing formality.
The boat neckline framed her collarbones elegantly, the delicate curve offering a glimpse of skin without excess. The fitted three-quarter sleeves ended just past her elbows, a detail that added to the dress’s refinement. A thin belt of the same fabric cinched her waist, defining her silhouette with effortless precision.
As she turned slightly, she noticed how the slight slit at the back allowed ease of movement-a subtle but deliberate touch that spoke of thoughtful design. The dress, though simple in its detailing, was a statement in itself.
She reached for a pair of champagne-colored pointed-toe heels, their sleek satin finish complementing the deep tones of her dress. With practised ease, she fastened the delicate ankle strap, feeling the slight elevation add to her posture.
Her jewellery was minimal-a thin diamond bracelet encircling her wrist like a whisper of light and a pair of pearl stud earrings that glowed softly against her skin She lifted a matching clutch, its smooth texture cool beneath her fingertips, and took one last look in the mirror.
Everything was perfect. Elegant. Poised. Powerful.
With a slow inhale, she straightened her shoulders and stepped towards the door. Tonight, she wasn’t just attending the event-she was owning it. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
She reached the venue just in time. Stepping one foot outside, she climbed out of the car. Closing the door, she noticed David was also coming. Before she could call him, he spoke.
"You look stunning. Elegant. Perfect, the way I like it."
Ariana blushed at the compliment. "You don’t look bad yourself," she said, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her earlobe. David was wearing a navy blue suit. His white crisp shirt was visible underneath.
"Let’s give all the gossip lovers some thrill. Might I..." He said, extending an arm for Ariana. Ariana accepted the arm and walked with confidence inside.
Coincidentally, Ariana and David’s clothes matched. It made one think it was deliberate. So when they entered the venue, all the eyes turned towards them. Someone even gasped.
They were immediately the centre of attention.
"No way, Ariana and David?"
"My mind can’t digest it."
"These two were at each other’s throats not a month ago."
"They are like fire and ice,"
"I heard David didn’t join the rebellion against Skyline Project despite Steven’s assistance. I see now, why..."
"Is this just me, or Ms. Grey has become prettier than before?"
"Yes, I noticed that, too."
"She is simply gorgeous."
"Even her dress is gorgeous. It suits her perfectly, bringing out her elegance."
"Maybe it’s the bloom of new romance," someone said.
Katherine Voss also attended the party. She made it certain to stand out at each such event. She liked being the centre of attention. Her attire would be carefully selected by the topmost stylist in the country. Before Ariana, there were talks of her dress. However, as soon as Ariana entered, she was a forgotten story. There were just talks of Ariana’s impressive dress.
She could not stand the frustration and threw a remark. "Ostentatious"
While the gossipers were thrilled regarding Ariiana and David’s secret relationship, a certain someone wasn’t very happy with all the gossip and possibilities. Sitting at an excluded spot along with the presidents, heirs, and heiresses of other companies, Luiss tasked Liam. "Tell Secretary Grey to come here."
Ariana was having small conversations with the party guests. Liam approached her and whispered in her ear. At this moment, Ariana looked up, her eyes matching those of Luiss. She was surprised to detect overt anger in them.
What?
What did she do?!
[New main task: Make Male Lead Jealous
Time Limit 4 hours

If Ariana weren’t at the fancy party, right now, she would have smashed a wall and screamed on top of her lungs.
Make President Luiss angry?!
Make that Devil angry?!!!
"Tell him it’s inappropriate for me to go there." She declined his offer and scanned the party to find the scapegoat whom she would flirt with and would suffer the brunt of Luiss’ jealousy.
It turned out she had been provided with the best scapegoat considering today’s recent events. She walked up to David with determined steps.
David, clueless of his demise, welcomed her. "What brings you here. Is there something specific?"
