Transmigrated to a Dark Fantasy World of SSS-Rank: King of the Void-Chapter 12: Cinder Titan
Where the memories of an ancient land devastated by one of the Great Ancient Mysteries lay dormant, a shadowy creature rose from the depths of the earth.
Its colossal humanoid body was made of soil, stone, and trees fused together to form its limbs.
Its dark eyes, set within a wooden head that wept ash, ignited like two small crimson beacons staring straight into Mitsuki’s soul.
Like the statues of the Kingdom of Holylight and the Master of Cinder, the titan’s body was not composed of mere earth and wood. Much of its broad back and elongated arms was stained with the Corruption of Cinder.
"Ellegaard!" Jeanne exclaimed.
The elf nodded, raising her staff high before releasing it. The instrument spun and floated above her. The next instant, when the staff returned to her grasp, a powerful chilling gust swept across the battlefield.
Mitsuki shielded his face with both hands. When he regained his vision, he noticed a thin layer of prana coating his body.
’And this? What’s it for?’ he wondered, only to receive the answer immediately after.
The titan took a step—the ground beneath its feet darkened, burning like smoldering ash over dying coal.
That ash spread outward, reaching the feet of those present. Yet unlike the forest that withered away in the wind, Jeanne and Ellegaard suffered no damage.
’If I had kept walking alone through the forest...’
At some point, he would have encountered one of these things and turned into another ash statue.
Jeanne let out a war cry. She leaped—and vanished from sight in the blink of an eye.
Mitsuki watched in stunned disbelief. He didn’t even catch the moment she appeared before the titan’s head, wielding her glorious legendary knight’s sword and aiming straight for its eyes.
It took only a fraction of a second more for the beast to be sent flying in the opposite direction, shattering trees as it crashed onto the hardened ground.
Jeanne landed on both feet as if gravity itself were a joke.
She turned toward Mitsuki and said, "I remember you mentioned wanting a way to earn a living. Well, here it is." She pointed at the titan, which was slowly rising back up. "Inside its body are pure mana fragments. They’re worth a lot of money. If you contribute even the smallest percentage of damage, you’ll earn one fragment."
Ellegaard aimed her staff at the titan. Within a second, she unleashed ten consecutive Fireballs that slammed the titan back into the ground.
"It’ll also help you practice your pitiful Fire Elemental Magic," the elf added.
’That’s it? I can’t do anything to that thing! You two are monsters!’
He swallowed hard. This wasn’t the moment to hesitate. He exhaled, calming himself as his expression turned serious.
"I understand. I’ll do it," he said, raising his hand toward the titan’s head.
The tattoo on his arm shifted.

[ The skill "Fireball Lv. 1" has begun charging. ]
The wind swirled around him. His long hair danced before his eyes, and a sphere of fire formed in his palm.
Both girls watched him in silence.
"Fireball!" he shouted, launching the spell.
Though small, the Fireball burned brightly, spinning with its own embers. Two seconds later, it struck the titan’s face, which barely recoiled from the modest explosion.
"You’ve improved a little," Ellegaard said. "But you’re still extremely pathetic."
Mitsuki frowned.
’I can do better. I will do better! I’m the best at everything my hands touch.’
He charged the spell again in less than a second.
[ The skill "Pro Gamer" has begun calculating the buffs of two active skills. ]
[ The skill "Fireball Lv. 1" has leveled up. ]
"Fireball!"
The flames suddenly flared, enlarging the spell as it surged toward the now-blind titan. Ellegaard raised her eyebrows in surprise—she could clearly sense the increase in Mitsuki’s magical power.
The Fireball struck once more. This time, the resulting explosion was tremendously powerful, forcing the colossus to stagger back a step.
’I did it!’
With a proud grin, Mitsuki clenched his fist like a true video game protagonist while glancing at Ellegaard.
The elf, slightly embarrassed by his innocent expression, turned her attention back to the colossus. She raised her staff and summoned an immense magic circle in the sky—equal in size to the titan itself—its elven runes glowing ocean-blue.
"Don’t get ahead of yourself," she said with a frown. "Let the Tears of the Sky fall!"
The magic circle shone, and from it emerged fine yet dense droplets of water that fell like meteors. The ground exploded wherever they struck, as did the colossus, pierced by dozens of those water bullets.
Not wanting to be outdone, Jeanne raised her sword high. It shone with blinding brilliance, illuminating the forest.
Golden flames wrapped around the blade, generating massive gusts of wind that forced the trees back with the brutality of a natural disaster.
"Let’s split the sky again!" the princess shouted excitedly.
Her wide, manic grin terrified Mitsuki, who stood there slack-jawed as the poor colossus was bombarded by murderous water spells and what looked like a sky-cleaving slash.
’This makes no sense...’
He took a step back.
Jeanne brought her sword down in a blink. Instantly, the dust raised by the exploding water meteors dispersed as a deep blade of light tore through the earth, cleaving the colossus in half.
That wasn’t all. The flying blade sliced through a distant mountain, sending debris soaring into the air. And just as the armored blonde had declared, the clouds above split apart in a massive, ridiculous line stretching across the sky.
Stunned, Mitsuki placed a hand on his head, forcing a crooked, frightened smile.
’Damn... what kind of people did I get involved with?’
Before him, Jeanne sheathed her sword while Ellegaard turned her gaze toward the man who looked on the verge of collapse from fear.
Near the carriage—which, surprisingly, remained completely intact—the coachman calmly filed his nails as if this were nothing more than a casual stroll through the park.
