Transmigrated to a Dark Fantasy World of SSS-Rank: King of the Void-Chapter 19: Despite Everything, the Journey Continues
Jeanne moved through the trees as she dressed with superhuman speed and agility. A cheerful smile rested on her flushed face, but she suddenly stopped when she sensed someone nearby.
She looked toward one of the tree branches. There sat Ellegaard, perched calmly with a rather serious expression. The elf didn’t hesitate to speak her mind.
"Ever since you were a child, you’ve had the bad habit of doing all sorts of absurd things. But don’t you think you went a little too far this time?"
"I just wanted to talk to Mitsuki—I didn’t do anything wrong. No one ended up paralyzed for life, and no civilians’ homes were destroyed. It was just a conversation under the moonlight."
Ellegaard sighed, tired.
"I’d like to believe that, but no sane woman strips naked in front of a man she barely knows."
"And do you know him?"
The elf fell silent. It was obvious Jeanne had already realized she had entered Mitsuki’s mind the day they first met.
As she fastened her shoulder plates back into place, Jeanne said,
"I think that to truly know someone, you first have to speak to them in a way that allows both of you to open your hearts."
"Were you planning to open your legs too?"
"Hey... that wasn’t my intention. You’re always twisting what I say just to get mad. In fact, you’re especially angry today. That serious face gives you away."
"I’m not angry."
"Yes, you are. Don’t tell me you like Mitsuki? Were you jealous that I stripped in front of him?"
Irritated, Ellegaard pressed a hand to her forehead.
"I’m not, child. I can’t fall in love with a stranger after a couple of days. Life isn’t some cheap marketplace novel."
"With how much you like those, I thought maybe—"
A vein bulged on Ellegaard’s forehead. Her earlier serious expression vanished, replaced by her usual grumpy elf glare.
"Sometimes I think you’re just asking me to hit you with my staff again."
Jeanne continued walking toward the camp—still perfectly calm, even after being scolded by her friend and teacher.
"I’m not a child anymore. You don’t need to discipline me."
With that, the blonde girl disappeared back toward the camp, leaving Ellegaard looking displeased. After a moment, she calmed herself by gazing at the moon through the leaves.
"You don’t understand that some people can’t handle your shameless spontaneity."

Back at the lake, Mitsuki dipped his head underwater—not only to cool the impure thoughts that had surfaced after seeing Jeanne’s naked body, but also to scream at the top of his lungs and release all the stress he had been building up over the past few days.
When he ran out of air, he resurfaced and took a deep breath.
With his wet hair hanging over his face—making him look like a ghost—he stared at the sky.
’That image won’t leave my mind. Even though it was a little dark, I could still see what was right in front of me...’
The memory made him shudder as if the beast sleeping inside him had awakened.
’God... what a woman...’ 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
He finished bathing a few minutes later. Stepping out of the water completely naked, he ignited a small flame in his hand to warm himself. Once he was done, he looked at his tattoo, searching for something.
’I hope it’s something decent.’
[ You have equipped the "Royal Uniform." ]
Ash wrapped around his body, dressing him in elegant jet-black trousers and a fitted black doublet adorned with beautiful white floral details across the fabric.
Next were his feet.
[ You have equipped the "Boots of Acceleration." ]
Black leather boots, fastened with elegant matching straps, covered his feet up to mid-calf.
’Yeah. This is much better. It’s pretty comfortable. But there’s one more item that caught my attention,’ he thought, lifting the sleeve of his doublet to observe the tattoo.
[ ❖ Cloak of Stealth. ]
’Like the boots, it has an interesting name. I’ll use it.’
Once again, the ash did its work. A long black coat with a belt manifested over his shoulders. Black buckles decorated the sleeves and the belt, shaped like two crosses connected horizontally.
’Finally, I’m wearing decent clothes.’
He picked up the remains of his old clothing and carried them in his hand as he headed back to camp.
’Damn it. Every time I let my mind wander, Jeanne’s breasts pop back into it. I need to clear my head. Moments like this call for something complex. And I know exactly what to use. The divine-rank elemental summoning branch splits into...’
Thinking about things like RPG skill trees or card game mechanics had always been his way of calming down. He continued doing so all the way back to camp.
When they saw Mitsuki emerge from the trees, Ellegaard made a face of disgust, while Jeanne immediately approached him.
"Wow. You look like a prince, Mitsuki. Is this from your spatial magic too?"
Avoiding her gaze, Mitsuki walked toward the campfire and replied,
"Something like that. I needed something decent to wear."
"I suppose you no longer look like a kicked, crushed, spat-on, stinking, filthy, crawling, disgusting, crawling, perverted piece of trash," Ellegaard said as she passed by him without even looking his way.
’She’s really angry. She said "crawling" twice...’
He had a bad feeling.
’Or maybe she’s just always like this.’
Jeanne patted him on the shoulder, looking at him innocently as if nothing had happened earlier.
"We already had dinner, so we’re going to take a bath. You can eat as much as you want from the cauldron."
Shivering slightly at Jeanne’s gentle touch, Mitsuki could only nod silently. After that, both girls disappeared into the forest.
’Well, despite everything, the journey must continue.’
He sat in front of the campfire, but his gaze quickly met Aslan’s. The old man held a bowl of soup in his hands.
In his deep voice, he said, "Eat before it gets cold. A man must remain strong at all times."
"Uh... Yes, thanks."
Mitsuki grabbed a bowl and served himself some soup. He stared at it for a few seconds, feeling a strange, dull distortion in the atmosphere.
’I hadn’t thought about it until now, but this old man is really quiet. I had no idea being alone with him would be this awkward.’
Normally, the girls talked so much that he barely noticed Aslan’s presence. The man had simply always been there, silently observing like a statue.
"You should also learn how to hide the way you look at women. If you don’t, you’ll get hit many times."
"What?"
This night by the campfire was going to be a long one.
