Transmigrated with my corruption system-Chapter 81: A Boss Without Hope
Boom! A shockwave erupted deep within the Goblin Demon dungeon as a black-robed figure cut across the air with impeccable speed.
Feeling his hair flutter rapidly in the wind, Ulric’s smile widened as his eyes narrowed slightly.
With every step he took, he almost felt the pressure multiply a few times as it tried to crash into him.
But even with all this, his pace remained relatively the same, not once faltering since he began.
If the pressure really wanted to stop him, then it would take a couple hundred times more to even come close. Ulric scoffed as his speed shot up another notch.
But it couldn’t be helped, not every other E-rank being possessed a physique invulnerable against E-rank attacks.
Inhaling sharply, he skidded to a halt as he came into an opening, finally stepping out of the vast forest that seemed to encapsulate almost all of the dungeon.
And when he took in the full sight, his eyes couldn’t help but widen slightly.
Before him, an arena stretched out, almost similar to that of the Wolf Den Dungeon but far grander.
Its size extended for hundreds of metres on end, with all its surface lined with mystical runes, pulsing every now and then.
At the sides, tens of Arc Goblin Demons stood on each side, only unlike the ones he had faced before, their auras were considerably stronger.
Their physiques too, as they all towered over eight metres, muscles rippling across their frames in a menacing manner, with even more menacing clubs clutched in their palms as they stood silently.
Their eyes a little eerie as they glinted with a blood-red light.
Casting a quick scan with his appraisal on a few of them, his head slowly nodded in understanding.
[Level 46 Demon Goblin]
They all stood calmly, forming a pathway until the far end.
He could see the outline of the dungeon boss seated on a throne of sorts, with runes lighting across it, causing his brows to furrow slightly.
But that wasn’t for now. It was only after he stepped a hundred metres into the arena that a growl echoed from the dungeon boss.
Spreading all across the dungeon as the walls trembled faintly for a few seconds.
When it finally stilled, the Goblin Demons all moved in sync, surrounding him before raising their clubs in the air as they slowly approached him.
If it was any other team, they would have been frozen in panic. Surrounded and waiting to be clobbered to death. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
Even more so, he could see the clubs the Goblin Demons held in their arms had faint runes across their surfaces. Enchanted weapons?
Ulric breathed faintly. Almost similar to the Blood Scythe when he first picked it up. The force unleashed would be at least five times more than a regular weapon.
But even in the face of all this, Ulric didn’t pay any mind to them as his scythe hovered behind him, his hands clasped behind his back.
Any Goblin Demon that stepped within a ten-metre radius of him collapsed to the ground a headless corpse as the air around them shimmered to form blades of darkness before slicing their heads off one by one.
Their gleaming thick green hides doing nothing to stop them, if anything it only prolonged their pain before dropping dead to the ground.
Soon, the Goblin Demons seemed to realize what was unfolding as they halted their charge, a look of raw fear in their eyes.
They had seen all that happened to those that stepped close to the human. No matter how strong they were, their fates were already sealed.
Walking forward didn’t seem as if they were frightening the human, instead it was almost as if they were marching towards certain death.
The thought froze them in place for a moment before a growl echoed from the far end of the dungeon from the dungeon boss.
Instantly after, the call seemed to have washed away every bit of hesitation, as the blood-red glint in their eyes flickered brighter than ever.
Their slow walk shifted as they charged at him at full speed.
Watching the change, Ulric smiled faintly. Thinking they could overpower him with numbers? Before the thought could fully form, he flicked the scythe in his arms, sending it flying out with almost all his strength.
The results were no less than catastrophic. A mad screech tore across the air as even the red sheen it left behind blurred from sight.
Only a visible red arc came into sight before it landed back into his palms with a dull thud.
The dungeon boss watched in rage as the Goblin Demons under him halted their charge once more. Just as it was about to growl out again, the massive orbs it had for eyes suddenly widened.
It could feel the connection it had to them suddenly vanish, causing its eyes to constrict violently.
They were right before his eyes. What could have happened to shatter their connection?
It didn’t have to wonder for long as the answer came soon. Thudding sounds echoed as the Goblin Demons slid in half as they collapsed to the ground lifelessly.
Blood gushing out of their frames in streams. But even that didn’t last long as the scythe rushed out once more, draining every single drop.
The corpses followed suit as they were absorbed into waves of darkness oozing from the dark-robed figure.
And before long, all that was left was the youth with the scythe hovering behind him, causing the dungeon boss to stare blankly before it couldn’t take it anymore.
Growling out, it reached out to the massive mace-like club lying next to its throne before jumping out, smashing at the black-robed youth.
But just as it appeared before him, his figure suddenly vanished. Its club tearing into the ground, sending fissures for tens of metres.
Shadow teleporting to its throne, Ulric sat down before inspecting it closely.
Unlike the Goblin Demons, it towered with a monstrous ten-metre frame, the muscles rippling across its body like refined steel.
Its thick green hide gleamed with a dark shade, exuding resilience.
Currently staring at him were two massive blood-red orbs seemingly filled with rage.
From its arms and torso, spikes jutted out to form a natural armour, causing him to nod his head slightly.
It really deserved its title as dungeon boss. It really was nothing short of monstrous as it intrigued him for a bit.
"Level 49 Goblin Demon Boss." A little lacklustre, Ulric muttered, shadow teleporting again as he easily dodged another attack as its massive club smashed into its throne.
The pattern continued for a while as it attacked him before he easily dodged, building up frustration in it.
Not that he cared, until its mouth opened. Only this time, instead of another growl slipping out, words echoed out.
"Human... coward!"
It can speak? Ulric breathed, his brows furrowing for a moment as he froze in place.
