He wasn’t here, of course she knew that because she didn’t sense him. Also, he wouldn’t have allowed those Solarians to misbehave if he was here because he enforced her laws as she desired. Dorian gave his wife a questioning look. Was this really the right move? It would be a lie.

Mega returned his look and nodded, then secretly pointed to her belly and looked at Scarlet. She shook her head as she made gesture for tears flowing down from someone’s eyes.

As if that was not enough, she touched her forehead, closed her eyes and threw her head back.

Dorian rolled his eyes. She didn’t need to do all this to prove her point, the head shaking and belly pointing was enough.

She had forgotten about the servants and some of them definitely had smiles on their faces as they watched his wife and her silly antics.

"Are you two doing some kind of mime act?" Scarlet’s frowned at both of her parents, turning her head from one side to another.

Mega’s eyes widened and she smiled. "What? Mime...no." She strongly said. "I am just playing around with your father, we do this to keep ourselves entertained because the castle has been empty lately. Do you know that Carolyn has not returned ever since you left?

Miss crown princess to be has been doing all of her work from the capital. And that girl is just as foolish as you are. She followed Markay to the green planet to eliminate and capture space pirates.

Beord has been romancing Lanta in every corner of the planet, you rarely see one without the other.

Mega threw fist in the air.

She had done it, one of her children had finally relented and got into that scared top tier academy.

"Ho!" Scarlet exclaimed. This was great news because Justin would not be without company and protection, even though Gregor was older. "He must be thrilled."

Getting into that school was hard, Justin’s entrance interview had proved that much. It was a thing of pride for any parent if their child made it.

"Much, much pleased." Mega told her.

Dorian then said, "I think your mother is much more pleased than Gregor himself. She told everyone that we know about it. She shared it on star net and posted pictures of him in his uniform. He had a cocky smirk on his face and he flexed his small biceps.

I think he might be another Elroy in the making."

Dorian shook his head and sighed. His daughters were like renegades and his sons.....mostly troublesome. Was anyone actually normal in his Su family?

"Surprise!!" Many voices combined as one loudly and unanimously shouted the second Scarlet stepped foot inside.

Even though she had detected them, Scarlet had no idea what everyone was doing here. Family and friends from both the Su and Wu side of the family. Was this a party?

She reacted accordingly, did a little jump and covered her mouth.

"Oho, I told you that we are not doing that anymore. She is pregnant, you don’t surprise a pregnant woman. " Mega told them.

She rubbed Scarlet’s back with a glee filled look on her face. She was in on the surprise of course, it had been her idea the moment Adler told them that their group was a day away from arrival.

Scarlet dropped her hands and laughed. "You guys, you didn’t have to do this. Wow everyone is here, why is everyone here?" Her voice was packed with emotion.

"We came to celebrate your safe return." Mina shouted.

She launched herself at Scarlet immediately and carefully hugged her as much as she could. "Next time, take me along with you. I am your best friend for crying out loud. We are supposed to be like twins."

"Pft!" Scarlet laughed at her friend.

"Congratulations on the pregnancy. I can’t wait to be an aunt." She added.

"Me next." Halley jumped up and down behind Mina, ready and excited for a hug.

"What is this, a party?" She asked Fey.

"It’s a small gathering." Fey told her.

Small gathering! Scarlet was inclined to disagree. There were well over eighty people here. It was not small, it was a party. Food and drinks were flowing in plenty. Laughter, warmth and happiness occupied the room and the wind carried all sorts of chatter into her ears.

She could see Justin, surrounded by his agemates and some older uncles and aunts. He was thrilling them on the tales of the journey and showing them pictures via holograms.

There was a video of him playing with cubs on Vi-Poral. Scarlet had no idea when he did that or who captured the video. Apparently he had been on his own adventure.

The party went on for two hours and guests started to leave, so Scarlet found a place to sit by herself.

Carolyn spotted Scarlet that was sitting on one of the couches by the window next to a corner on her own. She walked over immediately.

"It’s your party but you are hiding out in a corner on your own. This doesn’t bode well for the mood or us. What gives sis?"

She threw herself down in the chair next to Scarlet. Barely had she sat her butt down when Fey came over. She squeezed in besides Carolyn.

"Get off, the space is not big." Carolyn immediately complained and tried to push Fey off the couch.

Fey was sitting partly on the couch and partly on Carolyn’s body. Scarlet sighed and sipped some of Lythia’s milk. This was another thing she had missed, petty squabbles between her siblings.

They settled it pretty quickly and both looked at Scarlet.

"So, what gives? Aren’t you happy to be back?" Carolyn asked her.

"Yeah, spill. Last minute trip and you chose your favorite Adler to go with you. It’s not fair Scarlet, what could he do that we can’t do?" Fey was complaining more than asking questions.

Scarlet rolled her eyes for some reason. This was home, of course she was glad to be back. As for Fey, there was no answer to her question. Adler was simply her choice because he was her big brother, her protector and keeper of some of her most intimate secrets.

"I missed you two idiots." She told them. "What have I missed apart from you all allowing Solarians to ruin our home. What is the world is that monstrosity being built in the land I preserved for the dam and water reservoirs?"

She eyed Fey particularly because she knew of the city plans Scarlet had left behind.

"Have you ever tried to speak sense to Solarians? It’s like talking to a wall." Fey responded.

She took a frustrated sip from her non alcoholic fruit wine. "Now that you are back, it’s up to you to fix it. Everyone else is too political to touch them. " She even glared at Carolyn and the other shrugged.

She had to be careful with her actions now as crown princess. If she even spoke to a Solarian rudely it became front page news. She had stayed away from the Blue star to avoid such issues.

"Well, tomorrow clean up begins." Scarlet raised her cup in a toasting gesture.
