Later, in the evening, time for Scarlet to leave the hospital arrived. Her brothers faithfully showed up and carried the babies. Two of Esong’s male cousins mimicked the Su brothers and they also carried two of the babies.

The scene of the big men carrying these little babies that were dressed in pink upon Carolyn’s insistence was very cute that some nurses and doctors started taking pictures which spread rather quickly on star net.

Outside the hospital, reporters were waiting with their drone cameras and about a hundred questions which they were all eager to shoot out to Scarlet like bullets. The moment she stepped foot outside of the hospital doors, the noise started.

Thankfully, sound barriers had been erected around the babies so the disturbance did not bother them. The flashes from some of the drones however irritated Scarlet a great deal.

Beord took charge, and bellowed loudly, "Those of you with old model drone cameras that flash when you take pictures are to stop using them immediately. Don’t you know that babies are sensitive?"

RGB officers had already been alerted that Scarlet was to be released and they were surrounding the entire hospital. When Beord warned the reporters, they sharpened their eyes. If they saw one flash, they would be making an arrest.

"No flashes." They spread the warning further.

Beord continued addressing reporters as soon as the flashes died down. "My sister....uhm...the governor has only thirty minutes to spare so use them wisely. Any questions regarding the birth provided that they don’t invade her privacy will be directed to professor Sham and the team of doctors that has been taking care of her this whole time."

Professor Sham and his team were standing to the side in their doctor’s uniforms. They looked quite professional as they waited to address the media. Professor Sham who Scarlet was certain had no issues with his eyes was even wearing round eye glasses.

Scarlet had smiled when she saw this because in a world where body parts could be replaced when one fell ill, how was it possible for one to need eye glasses? They could even change eye color, eye size and correct all eye defects.

"Sister, say something." Adler whispered to her.

Scarlet looked at the reporters and she waved. "Mmm, thank you all for coming out here in the cold winter to...." she looked at them and asked, "Why are you here?"

It wasn’t because she was simply lost but genuinely, she had no idea why they were here. If they wanted pictures of her and the babies, Fey had shared many of those on her page. Even the official Blue star governor’s page had shared many.

The reporters laughed, most of them anyway. It was just like the Blue star governor to start off a conference with a joke.

Beord knew that she wasn’t joking despite what the reporters thought. He cleared his throat and said seriously, "Okay, any questions?"

The reporters here numbered about twenty six to thirty and all of their hands went up. And then, they went down slowly before Beord could choose. This move perplexed most of the people present.

"So no questions." Scarlet said, confusion in her voice.

A female reporter replied, "We know reporter Jelly will get the first question so we will wait for her to go first."

Just as they had come to expect her to open with a joke, they had also come to expect reporter Jelly to get the first crack at asking a question at every press conference related to the governor. It was not news that they were friends and after seeing her in the entourage of the crown princess, reporter Jelly’s reputation had climbed so high. She was now ranked among the best reporters in the empire and even received an award from the media association.

Jelly did not even wait and she took advantage of the opportunity. Business was business and she had to take care of business.

"Governor, congratulations on the birth of your adorable daughters. I don’t think any of us has seen such little well behaved beautiful beauties." She started.

Many reporters rolled their eyes while others smiled. Another thing which had come to be expected was Jelly kissing Scarlet’s ass. Had she inspected every baby in the empire before coming to this judgement?

There was a female reporter that wanted to argue because she too had just had a baby girl three months prior and her daughter was just as beautiful and well behaved.

"Thank you." Scarlet answered with a smile. "They take after me I guess."

More laughter came from the crowd. A few people were thinking that the Sun star empire was in trouble if the daughters took after their mother. One Scarlet, the trouble causer was enough. They didn’t need five more of her running around.

"So, five children delivered through natural birth. I must say governor that you are a hero indeed." Jelly added. "Did you experience any hardships during your pregnancy that you wouldn’t mind sharing?" novelbuddy.cσ๓

Scarlet nodded. "Mmm, mostly I experienced what other women that go through natural pregnancy and birth face like loss of appetite, too much appetite, exhaustion, swollen feet, minor temper tantrums."

Severus turned his head sharply in her direction at the use of the word minor. She had caused a few earthquakes, a small war and fires but she was saying minor!

Some humans were thinking along the same lines as the hound. She had blown up things here and there on a whim and she was saying minor!

"After everything you have experienced, would you do it again?" Jelly rushed to ask.

"Reporter Jelly, you got your one question, give the rest of us a chance." someone said.

Jelly shrugged and smiled. "I had to try, right."

And to her pleasure, Scarlet answered anyway. "I would do it again. Look at these five little miracles of mine. How can I not have more?"

Once upon a time, she had no hope for ever having children. Things in the supernatural world were always changing. Who knew if a day would come when grim reapers would be cursed once more and they would fail to have children?

For her, these five little girls were miracles and she planned to have more before the miracle expired.

But, with that seed chord gone from her body, would she be able to have more children?

A small frown formed on her face when she thought about it.

"Does this mean you intend to have five more babies governor?" A reporter shouted from the back.

"As many as I will be blessed with." Scarlet answered.

"Does this mean you intend to break your mother’s record as the woman with the single highest number of children in the empire?"

"Have you heard from general Esong Wu? He would not miss the birth of his children surely?"

"Has the royal family given you or the babies any gifts?"

"What are the names of the babies? Please share them for the rest of the world to know."

"Which of your children will inherit governorship of the Blue star?"

"Does Justin get along with his sisters?"

Because Scarlet had answered two questions that were asked out of turn, the reporters went crazy shouting out random questions and all seemed to be harmless until one reporter shouted out a particularly disturbing question.

"Is it true that you are seeking a divorce from your husband and that’s why you two have not been seen in public for most of your pregnancy? Is that why he is not with you today?"
