Scarlet lowered her face into the palm of her right hand and she laughed lightly. It was on the tip of her tongue to call him an idiot both for his outrageous suggestion back then and for not confiding in her with the truth.

She raised her head and looked at him curiously. "What?"

"What’s better than riding a bike?" he asked.

She looked from side to side and twisted her mouth, wondering what was better than riding a bike. There were many things she could think of, like good food, beating up an evil soul, winning a competition in the small world or duo games, being alive. All of this and she had not even got to the things related to their children.

"There are too many things, i am afraid that i do not have just a single answer to this question." she replied earnestly.

"Flying." he answered with a cheeky smile, "Flying butt naked is the single....."

"Oh goodness." she laughed and shook her head.

She would not even allow him to complete his statement because it was bound to be silly. Before he could convince her to try flying naked, she moved on to the more serious subject. They had to talk about everything after all.

She suddenly looked into his red eyes and said, "Nyx, were you ever going to come clean with me about being a reaper, possessing Esong’s body, being a prince in the underworld and so much more?"

He nodded and sighed. "I thought i would come clean after the war, after you and the children were safe. Then, and only then would i come clean about everything. He raised his right hand and placed it on her cheek.

She sighed loudly and told him seriously, "I don’t know what it’s like to wait for someone indefinitely as you did.
