"Geez! Father..." Tinghao was left speechless. They did stink yesterday because they came home right away from doing their exercises, but they cleaned up and even after a night, they were smelling fresh. There was no stench.

"I will join you for breakfast, go freshen up, and dress neatly, I will come down to join you once I have cleaned up and dressed too.." she kissed their foreheads dismissing them seeing that an argument could break any time. Luckily she was nicely dressed up and they were doing nothing indecent.

"Daddy, let’s go down and let mommy get ready! I don’t think you need to be here while she gets ready!" They held their father’s hands planning to drag him down from the bed out of the bedroom so that their mother would get ready.

He sat up and gently whispered into their ears words that Tang Fei didn’t get to hear anything he was telling them.

After that whisper, they let go of his hand and rushed out of the bedroom without looking back and using the remote controller, Huo Ting Cheng locked the bedroom door for any intruder who wanted to get in.

"What did you tell me? They rushed away in hurry looking scared..." Tang Fei could only think of one possibility, he threatened them over something, or maybe taking them back to the military academy today.

"Don’t worry! They just went downstairs to freshen up and get ready Missus." He held her waist and dragged her into his arms cuddling her. He kissed her forehead looking into her eyes before pressing his lips against hers playing and teasing around.

"I think I needed a moment with you my lady! Mnnh! It’s still so early and it’s a weekend." He pressed his forehead against hers as their noses brushed against each other teasingly. He didn’t have much work to take care of so, he wanted to laze around.

When she heard the way he was addressing her, her face immediately blushed as her heart beat accelerated. It was a simple sweet name that expressed her position in his life and heart.

"Don’t we have guests coming in today?" She hadn’t checked if everything has been taken care of and how their home was looking at the moment and here he was wanting a moment with her.

"They must be crazy if they dropped by such odd hours! Who goes to someone’s home at 8 in the morning even if you have been invited? I won’t allow the guards to let them in no matter what. They would have to wait." Yes, they had guests visiting but they better wait until the time they agreed there at the gate. No one would disturb his sweet moment with his wife.

"Oohh..." She was glad! She didn’t hate guests, but not that too early, right? The kids haven’t even taken their breakfast and gotten ready. She didn’t know how her kids acted around other strange people, so she had to be careful with them.

"The President would also come with his wife, you don’t need to entertain anyone, if they are mean to you, you can be meaner, don’t tolerate any nonsense from anyone! No one dares to look down on my wife, no one dares to order her around and no one dares to pull some stupid stunts." He could tell they weren’t coming over to his home on good will, he wondered what they felt like they needed to confirm with his life.

Even if it was his wife who wronged them, he would blame them, there was no way his wife can be wrong! They must have done something for her to react like that.

"You don’t get along?" Tang Fei was surprised to hear that. That’s not the way friends behave towards each other so long as they get along. Did they perhaps annoy him? Or what could have happened?

"They want to come over for some unknown reason as it has never happened before as they were never interested in my life! Also, his wife had a crush on me since high school but I never gave her any attention, I don’t want any misunderstandings in between us and don’t believe in whatever she says.!" He didn’t need to hide it from her. If they were gonna fight, it was best if they did now so that later on, they don’t have any misunderstandings.

"A crush?" Her heartbeat immediately accelerated slightly feeling sour. A man like him obviously had several women crushing on him, but why did he choose her, a woman who knew nothing!

Tang Fei didn’t have any strong family background that would support him in any way, she didn’t even perform better for University level exams and never studied in the University, what made him choose her? She wanted to know but when it came to matters of the heart it was difficult to understand someone.

Just like her, she spent thirty plus years working and supporting Huo Yang a man who had married with kids, he was just using her and she had spent her life supporting and working for him blindly. Love was truly blind and no one understood how it worked,only the heart knew the feeling.

"You don’t have to feel sour! You are my only wife and woman!" He noticed she had gone quiet and thought she was probably mad.

"Thank you for telling me!" This man was honest with her and she wouldn’t be any grateful. He did love and wanted a harmonious life with her. It’s good that he didn’t keep things away from her, and he talked to her about them openly.

"Mnnh..." His heart that had almost froze was finally exhaled all the breath he had held in relieved hearing that and she didn’t throw a tantrum as to why he was letting her come to their home knowing she was his crush. This made him realize how changed she was and very magnanimous.

He pulled her closer onto his chest listening to their heartbeats quietly that were beating wildly, it was only her that his heart would beat like this. Only this woman made his heartbeat beat violently. Only her natural scent would calm him. Only her presence made a meaning in his life. This was something he has never felt with anyone, the most thing he hated was human skin, he rarely had a handshake with people and the reason why he avoided such public functions.

He brushed his nose past hers. Maybe she might have forgotten about their first meeting, she was so tiny and a bit younger when she had saved him.

"You look so handsome, it’s just bad that your eyes are dead and clouded by darkness... That faithful night, he survived by hiding in her room, he can recall it wasn’t that decent but she allowed him in and shared with him.

And that night, the rain was so heavy, she also stole her father’s overcoat letting him shelter from the cold keeping warm. It was that gesture that he vowed to work harder, look for her and provide her with the life she deserved. It was the same reason he achieved everything he has today, he didn’t care if she went to school or not, or if she worked or not, he had enough money to shower her, he had enough properties under her name that will safeguard her for eternity. She didn’t have to be worried about anything.

"It will always be you... Always." He hugged her tightly in his arms before pressing his lips on hers kissing her with some longing and gentleness.

She left like she was drowning in some gentleness and warmth, in his arms she felt safe, she felt some strange emotions she has never felt. Yes, if a man loves you, you should be able to feel through his expressions, he should be able to assure you that you are his world.

More than ever, she wanted this marriage to work, she wanted to be a good wife to him, she wanted to be a good mother, and nothing else mattered. Her life would be fulfilled with these two things.
