Chapter 73: Chapter 73; He spoiled them.

He hired one nurse and a doctor to check up on them all the time but also positioned two guards at the entrance door, barring the kids from getting inside! He didn’t want his wife to be disturbed while she was recuperating.

Minghao, Fenghao, Tinghao, and Feihao were standing inside the living room, but a huge distance was created between them, and they didn’t look at each other.

"Minghao, Fenghao... The two of you will occupy the first-floor bedroom, that’s where you have been sleeping and your usual bedroom, while Tinghao and Feihao will occupy the bedrooms on the second floor. Each of you sticks to their floor; I will assign guards to keep watch; I don’t want to see you four fighting!" He signaled the guards to come over and take them over to their specific bedrooms.

"Father, I don’t want to go to a boarding school!" Huo Minghao was frightened by the idea of going over to the boarding school! Imagine having to constantly try to prove yourself that you come from a wealthy family, but you have low-quality stuff and everything you use was cheaply bought. The kids would laugh and mock her endlessly.

"Take them to their bedrooms to get themselves ready!" He dismissed them as the guards picked them up and took them to their various bedrooms, settling them down.

He heavily slumped down on the couch in the living room exhaling loudly! He had a severe headache, and he just wanted to sleep for a few minutes; he leaned backward on the couch and fell asleep.

Tang Fei was trying to stay awake so that she could have a chat with Huo Ting Cheng, but he was taking way too long to return to check up on them.

"Mother! You shouldn’t worry yourself! He needs to discipline them, or else they will only be spoilt brats creating a menace for no good reason! They need that!" Huo Zhihao coldly spoke up as he kept his eyes closed.

"Mnnhh..." Of course, it would be good if he disciplined them, but Tang Fei was worried about the kind of punishment he was going to enforce on them.

"He spoiled them, and he got to face the consequences!" Zhihao had this nonchalant attitude pasted on his face; his indifference towards his siblings, whom he has related with for the past five years, seemed to be manifesting, and whatever feelings he had towards them seemed to have vanished faster than they came.

"Zhihao—

"Momma, I told you, I hate those moral lectures, and I know you want to start again with the way you are endearingly calling me; they ain’t for me, so save that energy and don’t exhaust yourself! You should take care of yourself so that you can recover soon." Before she could say anything, Zhihao shut her up. She opened and closed her mouth speechlessly.

She always wanted to have kids in her previous life, but she was diagnosed with incurable infertility. Now, she has kids and a husband, but it was really overwhelming her; maybe this was the reason God hadn’t blessed her in her previous life with kids! She could have suffered all alone taking care of the kids as the man didn’t love her well enough!

"Zhihao! Do you think I’m a failure when it comes to being a mom?" Could this be the reason why she didn’t have such kind of blessings in her previous life?

"Why would you think that? It’s that man’s fault! He couldn’t keep his stuff zipped up! You could be in the University studying just like any other lady of the same age as you and not being a mother! You should be already working and paving your way for your career! So, how can that be your fault? You are still a little baby yourself, how can you be a mother to babies!" He seriously expressed his opinion, and this wasn’t the first time; he had never blamed his mother for anything; the fault would always be with his father!

Could he be hating him from as early as he knew how to think? Why was it so difficult to deal with such a caliber of kids? Their intelligence was too high for kids of their age. She wondered how it was easy to coax other kids with sweets and sweet words, but reality seemed to be something else.

She couldn’t do anything, so she softly giggled; it seemed like his hatred for their father was deeply rooted.

"What are you even saying? Sleeping with each other was a mutual consent, it’s not like I was mishandled while unconscious! And if I didn’t want to give birth to you all, I could have done an abortion! But no, you are all here, I might have been indifferent and acted out of disorder because of depression... We shouldn’t be hating the people we live with right? I haven’t seen your father treating you any bad!" Tang Fei was already exhausted when it came to convincing him otherwise! Zhihao seemed to be too difficult to deal with.

"Mother—

"No, I don’t want fights! I don’t want to hear the two of you argue any longer, I want to see you all laugh and relate with each other amicably as a sweet happy family, you should apologize to him for the way you talked to him, don’t you think he would be sad or heartbroken hearing those words from you and he hasn’t done anything wrong apart from trying to be a good father to all of you? Don’t make him feel he has failed... I’m already having a headache, don’t stress me up! I will take a nap!" She was mentally exhausted and only a nap would reset her mind back to factory reset and calm herself down.

This could be the same reason the original Tang Fei didn’t want kids! Damn! They were so handful! Would she have a moment where they peacefully relate with each other? Was this the kind of life they were destined to?
