A young woman lay on a bed breathing heavily. It’s been days she has been in this room and no one has visited her.

The face of the woman on the bed was heavily bandaged and only one of her eyes was opened to see her surroundings.

After much struggle, the only word that could leave her mouth at this last moment was "Why?"

It was barely a whisper but because he was so close to her, he could hear her question, he scoffed and said "You are one of my biggest regrets Yang Jia and if there truly is a next life, I hope we never meet."

Yang Jia felt betrayed. How could Gu Zhen do this to her? Why did the story change? Gu Zhen was supposed to love no one else but Yang Jia. If Yang Meiyi didn’t exist then none of this would have happened. She has done nothing wrong, was it wrong for her to get rid of the people who stood in her way? Of course not. Without taking her eye off Gu Zhen, Yang Jia let out a sinister smile and closed her eyes, as she drew in her last breath.

Gu Zhen stood before Yang Jia’s dead body for a moment and walked out of the room.

A man dressed in a black suit who was standing by the door bowed slightly to him and heard him say "Get rid of the body."

"Should I give it a proper burial?" The man asked.

Gu Zhen was silent for a few seconds before saying "Feed it to the sharks." He coldly walked away and was eager to return to his wife.

"Did you allow Ye Qingyi to leave the country with her father?" Yang Meiyi asked. She didn’t know how to feel towards Ye Qingyi, though the woman helped in saving her daughter but she still participated in almost killing her. She still remembered that it was Ye Qingyi who repeatedly hit her head with a stone and she was sure that must have been the cause of her memory loss which made her lose four years of her life.

Fu Mingze looked at the frown on his wife’s face and sighed softly. He closed his laptop and walked towards her saying "Yes, I did allow them to leave the country but the Ye family now has nothing to their name."

"You made them penniless?"

"Ye Rong got involved in a bad deal and lost everything. If there is anything Ye Qingyi fears more than prison is being broke and during the past two months, she has done whatever it took to ensure her rich lifestyle including sleeping with other men. One of the men, I arranged for her was infected with Hiv/aids, and through sexual intercourse he must have already passed it on to her."

Yang Meiyi looked at her husband in disbelief and said "I thought you forgave her?"

Fu Mingze smiled and pressed his head against hers as he whispered "I think it’s time to finally give you that grand wedding I owe to you. Will you marry me again, Mrs Fu Meiyi?"

"I thought you would never ask. Yes, I will." Yang Meiyi replied excitedly and pressed her lips to his, kissing him passionately and within a few minutes, the quiet office was filled with passionate moans as they celebrated their happiness with the exploration of their body.
