Transmigration:The Villain Wants A Happy End Without His BeastHusbands-Chapter 93: This One Is Not Like His Father
Meanwhile, in the Azure Dragon Manor, Jun Haoxuan fought with a lightning-forged spear clenched in his grasp. He leapt through the air, narrowly evading Lan Tianheng’s relentless assaults, each missed blast driving him farther from the mountains and into the academy’s main grounds.
Every strike that missed him slammed into the earth instead, carving deep fissures through stone and buildings alike, throwing the academy into chaos.
Students fled in panic. Birds scattered across the sky, dragging smaller creatures with them, while others desperately tried to outrun the destruction tearing through the grounds.
Jun Haoxuan gritted his teeth as Lan Tianheng charged again, releasing a blast that struck him head-on. The force sent him crashing through one of the lecture halls. Rubble collapsed around him, dust choking the air. It took a long moment before he pushed himself back to his feet.
He had been in his cultivation space when the Lans attack began. The first thing he had done was search for his brother and the absence of Shenzhen’s presence brought a sharp relief. He was safe. Or at least, not here.
Jun Haoxuan hoped Yunyi was safe as well, but he couldn’t afford to let his focus slip now.
Above him, Lan Tianheng hovered, his pulsing serpent red eyes glowing as blackish-red energy rushed violently around his body.
Jun Haoxuan drew a steady breath. Blue lightning cracked across his frame as he leapt upward, landing on the roof in a burst of sparks. He lifted his gaze to meet Lan Tianheng’s.
"I will go easy on you if you hand over the Dragon Crystal," Lan Tianheng said, a mocking smile curling his lips. "You are a great talent. The realms would lose much if someone like you were to die."
Jun Haoxuan didn’t answer. Talking and fighting had never been his style, especially not against an opponent like this.
"Oh?" Lan Tianheng tilted his head slightly.
That was all the opening Jun Haoxuan needed.
He surged forward with full force, lightning roaring as his spear struck true. The impact sent Lan Tianheng flying backward, crashing through a nearby building. He was clearly unprepared for the sudden counterattack.
In the aftermath, Jun Haoxuan spotted Headmaster Fang Lingbo below, surrounded by academy guards. He landed beside them without hesitation. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
"Open the portals," Jun Haoxuan ordered. "Get every student out. So there’ll be no casualties. That way, no one gets hurt."
"Yes... yes," the headmaster stammered, already turning and rushing away with the guards.
Jun Haoxuan watched his retreating back, his gaze darkening.
Lan Tianheng and Lan Tianlong had breached the academy for days now and there hadn’t been a single warning. Not one report.
He wasn’t surprised.
The dragons were becoming more selfish. Careless. And dangerously foolish.
Jun Haoxuan twisted aside just in time, narrowly dodging a sizzling strike that scorched the air where his head had been. He snapped his gaze upward and there was Lan Tianheng, fury carved into his features as he descended toward him.
"Who do you think you are?!" Lan Tianheng roared.
The blackish-red glow around his body pulsed violently, the air trembling under the pressure of his rage.
Jun Haoxuan lifted his spear, eyes cold. "The beast who will have your head by the end of the night."
Lan Tianheng’s lips curled into a wild, wicked smile. "I’d like to see you try."
Jun Haoxuan didn’t hesitate. He struck.
Lan Tianheng burst into laughter as they collided head-on, power crashing against power. "I wonder how Jun Yongri will feel when I send him his son’s head," he taunted. "Do you think he’ll cry before raining fire upon my kind?"
Jun Haoxuan’s jaw tightened. He drove a punch forward, the impact strong enough to force Tianheng back. In the same motion, he slammed his palms together.
A surge of furious blue light exploded outward.
The energy coalesced behind him, forming a massive, translucent blue dragon that reared back with a thunderous roar. Jun Haoxuan stood beneath it, lightning crackling along his frame. His golden, reptilian eyes blazed as the wind tore at his robes, his hair whipping violently to the side.
Lan Tianheng raised his hand.
The ground split open, and two translucent red serpents burst forth, black mist pouring from their fanged maws as they lunged for Jun Haoxuan.
He answered instantly.
With a sharp motion, he sent the dragon surging forward, its roar drowning out the serpents’ screeches as it tore through them. At the same time, Jun Haoxuan launched himself straight at Lan Tianheng.
Lan Tianheng’s expression twisted, irritation flashing across his face at Jun Haoxuan’s relentless assault but Jun Haoxuan didn’t hesitate. His focus narrowed, eyes locking onto Tianheng’s throat.
A concentrated blast of light slammed into Lan Tianheng, driving him back.
Jun Haoxuan followed through, summoning twin swords of crystal blue bound together by a silver chain. Lightning wrapped around the blades as he raised them high, intent clear.
He was going to end this.
Then, a sudden, piercing screech echoed from within the manor.
Lan Tianheng’s eyes flickered toward the sound just as he caught Jun Haoxuan’s killing intent. He leapt backward instantly, narrowing his pulsing serpent eyes.
In the next breath, his body twisted and expanded, scales ripping through flesh as he transformed into an enormous serpent. The building beneath him shattered under his weight as he turned and began retreating toward the Azure Dragon Manor.
Jun Haoxuan clenched his teeth.
The dragon behind him dissolved into sparks, vanishing into the air, just as the remnants of the serpents Lan Tianheng had summoned faded into nothing.
He lifted his gaze as he moved forward. Portals bloomed across the academy grounds, one after another, glowing as students hurried through them, frantic, but unharmed. The sight loosened the tight grip around Jun Haoxuan’s chest, relief washing through him at last.
Then he turned toward the Dragon Manor.
The moment he stepped into the courtyard, the relief shattered.
Bodies littered the ground.
Guards. Servants. All dead.
Jun Haoxuan’s grip tightened around his twin swords as two figures emerged from the shadows. Lan Tianheng and Lan Tianlong.
"The dragon crystal isn’t here," Lan Tianlong said flatly.
Jun Haoxuan’s eyes widened. "What?"
Lan Tianlong’s gaze sharpened on him. "You didn’t know?"
A sharp hiss escaped Lan Tianheng as he turned on his brother. "I thought you said it was here. That you saw it in the underground chamber."
"I did!" Lan Tianlong snapped, then redirected his glare at Jun Haoxuan.
Jun Haoxuan felt the shock sink deeper. The dragon crystal being gone didn’t bring relief. It made everything worse. Anyone could have taken it. Anyone.
"He hid it," Lan Tianlong said coldly, red serpent eyes pulsing as he stepped forward. "It would be best if I just—"
"He’s not lying." Lan Tianheng’s voice cut through the tension.
Lan Tianlong froze, whipping his head toward his brother, but Lan Tianheng’s attention never left Jun Haoxuan.
"This one is not like his father," Lan Tianheng continued. "He wouldn’t lie about the crystal’s whereabouts. He knew you tried to take it in secret. That you’ve entered that underground room before."
Jun Haoxuan narrowed his eyes. "Do you expect me to feel honored by your assessment?"
Lan Tianheng chuckled softly. "I expect you to show respect to your elders."
Jun Haoxuan didn’t answer. His gaze flicked briefly to one of the fallen servants at his feet.
"Let’s go," Lan Tianheng said to his brother. "There’s nothing left for us here. Not anymore."
Lan Tianlong let out a low, irritated grunt.
A raging, pulsing red portal opened beneath their feet, swallowing them whole in an instant.
They were gone.
Jun Haoxuan stared at the empty space they’d left behind, his jaw tightening as his grip on his weapons grew even firmer.
