Trillionaire's Slice of Life-Chapter 280 - 194 Your Life Will Change Completely
Normal University’s campus network was abuzz with nearly ten thousand comments, as everyone’s attention was drawn to the young and handsome alumnus in the photo.
The majority of discussions focused on two points: one was about Chu Mo’s one-time donation of one billion, and just how much his net worth might be.
The second topic of discussion was whether the intellectually beautiful lady in the tube dress beside Chu Mo was prettier, or the innocent campus belle of the university was more beautiful.
Chu Mo, who was accompanied by various school leaders throughout the campus, of course, had no idea about these trivial matters on the campus network.
Regrettably, even though he visited the cafeteria, Chu Mo didn’t get to taste the seaweed soup from the large cafeteria.
He dined in the small cafeteria for the faculty and staff, which naturally was a couple of notches above the students’ large cafeteria. Although it couldn’t compare with the exquisite dishes prepared by his personal chef at home, it did match the level of an ordinary restaurant’s chef.
Sauerkraut fish, braised pork, and roasted chicken were among the few solid dishes that were quite good. Chu Mo first set the tone by not drinking, so he ended up eating a large bowl of rice.

There were still many activities planned for the afternoon, such as visiting the library and the faculty building with the school leaders, and giving a speech in the auditorium of Building 8. After lunch, Chu Mo was arranged to rest in a room in the guesthouse, where he had forty minutes to take a short break.
The resting room wasn’t large, about twenty square meters, with a double bed by the window covered with brand new bedding.
Opposite the bed was a small bookshelf and desk. Being on the sixth floor, when the windows were opened, gusts of comfortable breeze would flow in, making the entire room cool, eliminating the need to turn on the air conditioning explicitly.

Chu Mo stood by the window, through which he could take in most of Normal University.
He himself had once sweated on the vast sports field opposite, during the first half of his junior year, Chu Mo had been dragged to the athletics club by his buddy Li Fei, who wanted to lose weight.
Of course, there were no sweet-looking senior or junior girls in the athletics club, just the monotonous hardship of running. Chu Mo only lasted a week before quitting. As for his buddy Li Fei, he left the athletics club looking rather sheepish the day after Chu Mo quit.
At his last weigh-in, after a week of hard training, Li Fei, who initially weighed 190 pounds, not only didn’t lose weight but had actually gained another pound...
Sometimes Chu Mo would think, if there had been two sweet-looking junior or senior girls in the athletics club to occasionally cheer on a group of fiery-blooded young men, maybe he would have gritted his teeth and persevered.
...
Chu Mo, standing by the window, took a deep breath and seemed to smell the vibrant youthfulness of the campus.
The feeling was truly intoxicating; his whole being felt light as if he was drifting onto the clouds.
"No wonder those successful people love to return home in their finest," he mused to himself, "This feeling of being surrounded and followed by people, it really is fantastic."
With a smile playing on his lips, Chu Mo spoke to himself.
The usually elusive Principal Yang was accompanying him personally, the once unapproachable school leaders welcomed him with smiles, and even Xu Shu, the former student council president whom Chu Mo once could not hold a candle to, had benefited greatly through his relationships.
The experience of being at the center, surrounded by stars like the moon, Chu Mo had now accepted with equanimity. However, receiving smiling faces of those who once looked down on him, those he had to look up to, was still a quite refreshing feeling.
Just as Chu Mo was basking in this feeling, a gentle knocking suddenly came from the door behind him. He looked at his watch and saw that there were still twenty minutes until his break was over.
Chu Mo approached the door with a hint of curiosity, opened it gently, and then, two familiar figures appeared before him.
"Mr. Chu, we hope we’re not disturbing you."
Du Yanyan, wearing a black short skirt with stockings and paired with a white blouse, greeted him with a smile, and naturally, beside her was the former student council president Xu Shu.
"I didn’t expect it to be you two. What about the other classmates? Why not come up and sit together?"
Seeing his old schoolmates from yesteryear before him, Chu Mo’s eyes reflected a hint of a smile. He moved aside to let the two young women into the room. After they entered, he half-closed the door, leaving a small crack, then said cheerfully:
"There aren’t many seats here; you can sit on the bed."
The two women made themselves at home, sitting on the edge of the bed, while Chu Mo took the only chair by the desk, sitting opposite them.
"Wang Tuo and Ling Yue and a few others have already gone back. After welcoming you, our old classmate, our task was completed. Li Fei and some other old friends are still wandering around campus. Xu Shu and I came up specially to thank you."
Chu Mo, of course, knew what it was about. Although he hadn’t said a word the whole time, barring any unexpected events, Xu Shu, as a counselor at Normal University, would be treated specially. Her application to pursue postgraduate studies had been approved without a doubt, and there wouldn’t be any major problems in becoming a lecturer or even a professor in the future.
Of course, without Chu Mo, Xu Shu might have been able to accomplish these tasks on her own, but the effort she would have had to put in and the time it would have taken would be vastly different from now. With Chu Mo’s relationship in place, she would have to struggle at least five, if not ten, years less.
This is reality, and sometimes in the face of such reality, you can only feel helpless. But once you have that connection, you stand to benefit.
"Chu Mo, I really want to thank you this time. Just now, Dean Xiong personally spoke to me. The school has approved my postgraduate application and has arranged a faculty dormitory for me."
