Ten minutes later, the maid returned.

She brought Nancy Nash a shocking piece of news, making her so angry that she couldn’t help but jump up, "What did you say! Thomas Quincy went to Clara Thornton’s place?"

Nancy’s face turned black with anger, and she gritted her teeth, "That damn Clara Thornton, did she know I was going to find Thomas, so she deliberately called Thomas over?"

The maid stood aside with her head down, not daring to speak.

In the end, Nancy personally overturned an entire table of gourmet food. She stomped off in her high heels, furious, "I’m going to find them!"

During these two days, she did not bother with Thomas, thinking he was already done for and couldn’t accomplish anything with Nancy.

On this day, Clara was in the lab studying potions when Nancy arrived, the sound of high heels echoing in the lab.

Clara put down what she was holding and turned to look at Nancy, her brows furrowing involuntarily.

Nancy stepped in front of Clara and said, "Clara, let’s have a talk."

Clara thought Thomas had gone to see Nancy in these two days, but in fact, after leaving Clara’s place that morning, Thomas hadn’t gone to Nancy.
