Ultimate Spin System: Ero Spin?-Chapter 41 - Anger
Lucas stared at Maya with a thin, forced smile. His hand slowly rose, and his fingers gently touched Maya’s head.
"Mom, tonight will be... interesting," he whispered softly, his voice low and cold.
Maya looked slightly confused but maintained her usual smile. "You’re acting strange tonight, Lucas. Go get some rest, sweetheart. I’ll call you when dinner is ready."
Lucas gave a small nod before turning and heading up the stairs to his room. Every step felt heavy, not from exhaustion, but from the anger he was barely holding back.
When the bedroom door closed and locked, a cold, mechanical voice echoed in his mind.
---
[DING!]
[Congratulations, Host! The Weekly Wheel of Fortune is now available again.]
[You have one free spin this week. Would you like to use it now?]
---
Lucas took a deep breath. His eyes reflected the virtual glow from a screen only he could see. He remembered his first spin, where he had obtained the Charm of the Forbidden and a hefty sum of money with ease.
"Spin now," he said firmly.
A large virtual wheel appeared before him, spinning rapidly with glimmers of blue and gold. The words "Skill," "Money," "Special Item," and "Weekly Buff" flashed as the needle spun at high speed.
Lucas clenched his fists, hoping for something significant. The wheel began to slow down... slower... until the needle finally stopped on:
---
[Congratulations! You’ve won a double reward!]
[1. Cash Prize: $10,000 has been transferred to your virtual account.]
[2. New Skill: "Aqua Dominion (Level 1)" has been activated.]
---
Lucas’s eyes widened as he read the notification. His hands trembled as he opened the skill description.
[Aqua Dominion (Level 1)]
Allows the user to manipulate water within a limited radius. Water can be summoned from nearby sources and used for attack, defense, or control. The skill’s power depends on the user’s focus and creativity.
Lucas extended his hand toward a glass of water on his desk. Slowly, the water inside began to ripple, rising like a snake dancing in the air, following the movement of his fingers.
"Amazing..." he whispered in awe.
The water swirled in the air, forming a small sphere that floated above his palm. He could feel complete control over the element, as if water had become an extension of himself.
---
[DING!]
[Weekly Wheel of Fortune is complete. This feature will be available again in 7 days.]
Lucas smirked. "$10,000 and the power to control water... it seems the world is finally on my side."
He closed his palm slowly, and the water ball dropped back into the glass with a gentle splash. Thoughts of Maya and Victor filled his mind again.
"Aqua Dominion... I can control water? Liquids? Mwehehe... can I control sperm? Hahaha... with this, I won’t have to worry about Mom getting pregnant, and the game will be much more fun."
Lucas stared at his reflection in the mirror. His face looked sharper, more focused, as if something deep inside him had awakened.
---
A soft knock echoed from his door.
"Lucas? Dinner’s ready!" Maya’s voice came from behind the door.
Lucas opened the door slowly, a cold smile spreading across his face. "Alright, Mom. I’m coming down."
As he descended the stairs, his mind was already full of scenarios about how to use his new power. At the dining table, Maya sat with her gentle smile, pretending nothing was wrong.
Lucas pulled out his chair and sat across from her. His right hand slowly touched the glass of water on the table. Without Maya noticing, the water inside trembled slightly—a subtle sign that Lucas was now in control.
"This dinner will be... very interesting," Lucas said, locking eyes with Maya.
Maya smiled faintly, but behind that smile, Lucas could see something: a faint fear, not yet fully surfaced.
"Aqua Dominion..." Lucas thought. "I’ll make you both drown in endless regret."
Lucas sat at the dining table, staring at Maya with a meaningful smirk. The dining room light cast a faint gleam on the glass of water in front of him, which trembled subtly under his hidden control.
Maya, sitting across from him, busied herself serving food onto Lucas’s plate. Her fake smile remained perfectly etched on her face, but Lucas could feel something faltering behind those soft eyes.
"Lucas, eat up. You must be hungry after today," Maya said softly.
Lucas calmly picked up his spoon, his eyes still locked on the woman he called his mother. "Thank you, Mom. I’m very hungry... hungry for the truth."
Maya tensed for a brief moment but quickly returned to her usual smile. "What do you mean, sweetheart? You sound... odd."
Lucas gave a faint smile, raising the glass of water in front of him. The water rose slightly, forming a small whirlpool before settling back down as if nothing had happened.
"Nothing, Mom. I’ve just been thinking about a lot of things today."
Maya chuckled lightly, trying to break the tension. She leaned her elbows on the table, resting her chin in her palms, and stared at Lucas with a smile that felt... different. Her lips curled slightly, her eyes glinting with an unusual light.
"You look more mature now, Lucas," Maya said softly, almost whispering. "Your face looks more like your father’s... especially those eyes."
Lucas froze mid-motion, his spoon hovering in the air. Maya’s words felt strange, as if they carried a hidden layer beneath them. His gaze slowly lifted, locking onto her face.
"Mom, what do you mean?" he asked flatly, his voice sharp but calm.
Maya smiled faintly, her eyes never leaving Lucas. "Oh, nothing. It’s just... sometimes, your gaze feels so piercing. It makes me feel... a little uneasy."
Lucas clenched his hand under the table. Those words echoed in his head, sparking a flicker of rage deep in his chest. Uneasy? Did Maya act like this with Victor too? Did she smile and look at him this way as well?
The thought made Lucas sick.
"Mom..." Lucas called softly, almost a murmur. "Why are you talking like this?"
Maya let out a light laugh, but it sounded forced. "Oh, don’t be so serious, dear. I was just joking." Yet her eyes remained intense, as if trying to read something from Lucas’s face.
Lucas stared at her deeply, his jaw tightening. "Did you... do you act like this in front of Victor too?"
Maya’s smile vanished instantly. Her face stiffened, her eyes blinked a few times as if trying to process the question. The warm atmosphere turned cold and silent. Only the ticking of the wall clock could be heard clearly.
"What do you mean, Lucas?" Maya asked softly, her voice trembling slightly.
Lucas gripped the spoon tightly in his hand until a faint sound of bending metal echoed. Anger began to burn in his chest, but he suppressed it with great effort.
"I asked... do you act like this in front of Victor too?" Lucas repeated, his voice clearer and firmer this time.
