Ultimate Spin System: Ero Spin?-Chapter 80 - Need a Break
Lena sat back down on the sofa beside Lucas, her gaze narrowing slightly as she crossed her legs. She didn’t speak right away, and that silence, the way her eyes lingered on him, put Lucas on edge. He could feel her scrutiny like a spotlight burning through him.
"So..." Lena started, her tone light but laced with something more calculated. "Cindy, huh?"
Lucas sighed, already sensing where this was going. "What about her?"
Lena tilted her head, her expression feigning innocence. "She just doesn’t seem like the type of person you’d be close to. You’re... not exactly the social butterfly kind."
Lucas rubbed the back of his neck, trying to keep his irritation in check. "She’s just a neighbor, Lena. That’s it."
"Uh-huh," Lena said, clearly unconvinced. "A neighbor who just happens to drop by unannounced, dressed like that?"
Lucas winced at the reminder. "She was just want to tease me maybe, and that is a just a joke."
"Was she?" Lena pressed, her tone sharper now. "Because it didn’t sound like a joke to me. And she seemed... I don’t know, nervous. Like she was worried about something. Or someone."
Lucas tried to brush it off, leaning back and crossing his arms. "You’re overthinking this."
Lena leaned forward slightly, her eyes narrowing further. "Am I? Because the way she looked at you didn’t seem like ’just a neighbor.’ And honestly, Lucas, the way you’re acting right now isn’t helping your case."
Lucas stiffened, his jaw tightening as he met her gaze. "There’s no case, Lena. You’re making something out of nothing."
"Am I, though?" Lena leaned back, crossing her arms now. "You’ve been weird ever since you got back from Greenville. And now there’s Cindy, who looks like she’s hiding something, and you’re being all cagey. Call me crazy, but it feels like you’re up to something."
Lucas’s mind raced as he tried to find a way to deflect. "You’re imagining things."
"Maybe," Lena said, though her tone made it clear she wasn’t convinced. "Or maybe you’re just bad at hiding whatever it is you’re trying so hard not to tell me."
"Lena," Lucas said, his voice firm now, "drop it."
Her eyebrows shot up at his tone, but instead of backing off, she smirked faintly. "Touchy, aren’t we? Fine, I’ll drop it. For now. But I’m not stupid, Lucas. Something’s going on, and I’ll figure it out eventually."
With that, she stood up and walked toward the kitchen, leaving Lucas alone on the sofa, his mind reeling. He clenched his fists, frustration and anxiety warring within him. Lena was too sharp for her own good, and if she kept digging, it was only a matter of time before she stumbled onto something he couldn’t explain away.
And that would be a disaster.
Lena grabbed her bag, slinging it over her shoulder as she prepared to leave. She paused at the door, glancing back at Lucas with an expression that was softer than he expected. Her earlier sharpness seemed to have melted away, replaced by something more protective.
"If Cindy ever tries anything... weird," she said, her voice quieter, almost hesitant. "Just tell me, okay? I’ll take care of it. I’ll... I’ll keep you safe."
Lucas blinked, caught completely off guard by her words. Her tone wasn’t teasing or sarcastic like it usually was—it was sincere, almost emotional. For a moment, he was too stunned to respond.
"Uh, yeah. Sure," he finally managed, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. "Thanks, Lena."
She nodded, lingering at the door for just a second longer before stepping out into the hallway. "Take care of yourself, Lucas. Don’t do anything stupid."
Before he could reply, she was gone, the door clicking shut behind her. Lucas stared at it for a moment, his mind reeling. What the hell was that?
He sank back onto the sofa, his thoughts a jumbled mess. That wasn’t like Lena at all. Sure, she could be protective in her own way, but this was... different. Almost like she was under some kind of spell.
That’s when it hit him.
The skill.
Persuasion Touch.
It had been weeks—maybe even months—since he’d used it on her. Back when things were simpler, before everything spiraled into chaos. He hadn’t even thought about it since then, assuming its effects would’ve worn off by now. But clearly, they hadn’t. Somehow, the skill was still active, still influencing her.
Lucas leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees as he tried to process what that meant. This skill is way more powerful than I thought...
Before he could dwell on it further, the familiar voice of the system chimed in, dripping with its usual sarcastic glee.
[ Aw, look at you, Host. The innocent, doe-eyed boy who’s so good at sweet-talking MILFs into doggy-style, but completely useless when it comes to handling two simple, young women. Pathetic, really. ]
Lucas groaned, running a hand down his face. "Not now," he muttered under his breath.
"Oh, no, no. Now is the perfect time," the system countered, its tone mockingly cheerful. "You’re in over your head, Host. One Milf in your bed, and you think you’re some kind of player. But let’s face it—you’re struggling to keep up with Cindy and Lena, and they’re practically handing you opportunities on a silver platter. It’s almost cute."
"Shut up," Lucas snapped, though his cheeks burned with embarrassment. The system always knew how to hit where it hurt.
"Face it, kid. You’re a disaster waiting to happen," the system continued, its voice oozing amusement. "But hey, at least you’ve got me to keep you grounded. Without me, you’d probably be crying into a pint of ice cream right now."
Lucas sighed, leaning back against the sofa and glaring at the ceiling. "Are you done?"
"Oh, I’m just getting started," the system replied. "But I’ll give you a break—for now. You’ve got enough on your plate, what with your stepmom, your neighbor, and your sister all tangled up in your mess of a life. Good luck, Romeo. You’re gonna need it."
With that, the system fell silent, leaving Lucas alone with his thoughts once again. He closed his eyes, letting out a slow, frustrated exhale.
"What the hell am I doing?" he muttered to himself.
But no answer came, and deep down, he wasn’t sure he wanted one.
Lucas’s phone buzzed on the coffee table, pulling him out of his spiraling thoughts. He reached for it reluctantly, already guessing who it might be. Sure enough, it was a message from Cindy on YoChat.
---
Cindy:
"Who was that girl earlier? The one who opened the door?"
---
Lucas frowned, staring at the message for a moment before typing out a reply.
---
Lucas:
"That’s Lena. My stepsister."
---
It didn’t take long for Cindy’s reply to come through, and when it did, Lucas blinked in disbelief.
---
Cindy:
"Stepsister? Wow. Knowing you, you’re probably hoping she’ll get stuck in the washing machine so you can... y’know 👀👀"
"And don’t even lie. I bet you’d rub your thing between her perfect, tight cheeks while she’s ’helpless.’ 😆"
---
Lucas stared at the message, his jaw dropping slightly. He reread it twice, his mind struggling to process what he was seeing.
"What the hell is wrong with her?" he muttered under his breath, his face heating up despite himself. Cindy had always been unpredictable, but this... this was on another level.
His fingers hovered over the screen as he debated how to respond. Part of him wanted to confront her about the absolutely insane accusation—or was it a joke? But another part of him felt like engaging would only make things worse.
Finally, he settled on something neutral.
---
Lucas:
"Are you serious right now? What’s wrong with you?"
---
Cindy’s reply came almost instantly.
---
Cindy:
"😂 Relax, I’m just messing with you. But seriously, your stepsister’s kinda cute. Bet she’s trouble, huh?"
---
Lucas let out a frustrated groan, tossing his phone onto the sofa beside him. Cindy’s messages had left him even more bewildered than before. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees as he tried to make sense of it all.
What is up with her? he wondered. Cindy could be blunt, sure, but this was something else entirely. One moment she was teasing him like always, and the next she was making wild, borderline perverted jokes about him and Lena.
The system, ever the opportunist, chimed in.
[ Wow, Host. Looks like Cindy knows you better than you know yourself. Or maybe she’s just saying what you’re too afraid to admit? Either way, this is gold. ]
"Shut up," Lucas snapped, glaring at the empty air.
"Oh, come on. Don’t tell me you didn’t feel even the slightest twinge of... something when she said that," the system teased, its voice dripping with mockery. "Face it, Lucas. You attract chaos. First your stepmom, now your stepsister, and Cindy? She’s practically your personal agent of insanity."
Lucas buried his face in his hands, feeling the weight of everything pressing down on him. He didn’t know what was more exhausting: the situation with Lena, Cindy’s increasingly bizarre behavior, or the system’s relentless commentary.
"I just need a break," he thought, but deep down, he knew there was no escaping the mess his life had become.
