Ultimate Tycoon: Building the Richest Empire with System and Heroines-Chapter 52: The true heir
Chapter 52: The true heir
Inside the main hall of the Hayes estate, a rare gathering had taken place. Three powerful families sat together under one roof—an event that hadn’t happened in decades.
At the center table sat:
Chairman Carter of the Carter family, his stern eyes sharp despite his age. His son Nolan sat beside him, posture rigid, listening carefully.
On the other side, Alistair Hayes leaned back with his signature composed demeanor. Damian stood respectfully behind him, silent and attentive.
And finally, Augustine Marclaire sat with his father,Walter Marclaire. The legend. The King of the North. A man who once terrorized half the underworld and ruled the cold with an iron will.
A heavy silence lingered, broken only by the faint ticking of the antique clock.
Alistair finally spoke, his tone calm but purposeful.
"So, what do you think about that boy... Ethan?"
Chairman Carter nodded thoughtfully.
"He’s smart. Observant. Brave too. Not the type to be underestimated. But..." He paused. "His background,it’s not simple."
Nolan’s brows furrowed. "What do you mean?"
Chairman Carter met Alistair’s gaze.
"The Ravens. You must know this already, don’t you, Alistair? Isn’t that why you called this meeting?"
Alistair smiled faintly. "As expected... nothing escapes your eyes, old friend."
Nolan leaned forward. "Wait... are you saying Ethan is related to the Ravens?"
Before Carter could answer, Augustine spoke instead.
"Yes. I personally confirmed it. He’s the son of the Raven family’s oldest daughter."
Silence fell again. Nolan’s eyes widened.
"The true heir...?"
Walter Marclaire chuckled.
"Well, that explains a lot."
Alistair turned to him.
"What do you think, Walter? What’s your suggestion?Everyone in the underworld fears me and Carter. But let’s not forget the reason they feared us,the king of north."
He laughed . "Haven’t heard that ridiculous name in years."
Everyone smiled faintly, but their eyes remained serious.
"But if you want my opinion," Walter continued, "the boy already did us a favor. He saved my son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter from those assassins. That alone earns him my respect."
Augustine nodded in agreement.
"And I’ve already decided. Whether it offends the Raven family or not, I’ll support Ethan."
All eyes turned toward him.
Nolan frowned. "But it’s dangerous. The Ravens—"
Walter cut him off. "Of course it’s dangerous. That’s what makes it worth doing."
Then came the real shock.
"I’ve also decided," Walter said with a grin, "to take him in. I want to teach him my techniques."
The entire room went silent.
Alistair straightened.
"You mean... you’ll finally take a disciple?"
Chairman Carter raised an eyebrow. "The King of the North finally passing down his skills?"
"Yes." Walter’s voice was calm, but firm. "The boy has something in him. Fire. Balance. I don’t see that often."
Alistair nodded slowly. "You’ve seen the news about the bus incident, haven’t you?"
Carter answered, "Yes. From the attack patterns and movement, I believe it wasn’t random. I suspect the Ravens were involved."
Everyone in the room quietly agreed.
"But," Alistair added, "what I don’t understand is... why is the old Raven quiet? He always favored his eldest daughter. Why hasn’t he done anything for all these years?"
Silence again.
Then Walter snorted.
"That sly fox... no one knows what he’s thinking. Maybe he’s biding his time. Maybe he’s watching from the shadows. But that man—he always moves with purpose."
Chairman Carter tapped the table lightly. "Whatever the case, one thing’s clear. All of us here are on the same page."
Alistair smiled faintly. "Who would’ve thought a single boy would bring us together after so many years."
Augustine nodded. "Fate works in strange ways."
Carter chuckled. "Also... I’ve noticed something else."
Walter tilted his head. "What’s that?"
Carter’s expression turned amused. "Our granddaughters... Jasmine and Rhea. They’ve taken a liking to the boy too."
Even Nolan blinked in surprise.
Walter burst into laughter. "Well, what can I say? The kid’s got charm."
Alistair raised his teacup.
"Let’s leave that part to fate. But for now... I think we all agree."
Chairman Carter, Walter Marclaire, and Augustine all nodded in unison.
They had made their decision.
They would protect him.
Support him.
And if needed, fight the Raven family for him
The hidden heir had unknowingly earned the loyalty of the country’s three strongest giants.
Meanwhile,Ethan sat comfortably on the lounge sofa, surrounded by three beautiful girls, all talking to each other like they were planning a diplomatic treaty.
Natalie leaned back on the armrest, arms crossed, her tone sharp but relaxed. Jasmine sat elegantly on the adjacent chair, legs crossed, while Rhea sat near the other side of the couch, calm and quiet as ever. And nestled right in Ethan’s lap was little Mina, happily munching on a bowl of strawberries.
"So," Ethan said with a casual grin, "how do you three know each other?"
Rhea answered first, softly. "I’ve only met Sister Natalie three or four times. It’s actually been six years since our last meeting.
Natalie nodded. "Yeah, it’s been a while. You’ve grown a lot."
Rhea smiled, " And president jasmine, I only got to know today that our grandfathers were friends."
Jasmine ," Yeah, I also got to know today, but sis Natalie and I, we met quite often."
Natalie nodded,"Jasmine shows up at a lot of events."
He let out a relaxed chuckle. "Wow... all three of you in one room. Is this a dream, or did my good karma finally pay off?"
Natalie rolled her eyes but smiled. Jasmine smirked. Rhea gave a small laugh, tucking a loose strand behind her ear.
Mina, still chewing, raised a hand. "I approve this harem!"
Ethan coughed, nearly choking on air.
Ignoring her, he opened the system window in his mind and scanned their current stats.
[Rhea Marclaire – Affection: 95]
[Jasmine Carter – Affection: 35]
[Natalie Hayes – Affection: 30]
Ethan chuckled to himself. "Rhea’s almost. Jasmine and Natalie... I’ve got work to do."
He leaned back, looking at the three girls chatting away as Mina curled against his chest, this moment felt strangely peaceful.
Then, another thought popped up in his mind.
"The $5 million mission..." Ethan’s gaze flicked towards the side window. "The auction better deliver."
And as always, his daily mission icon blinked in the corner of his vision.
Time to get to work.
Just then, the large doors creaked open.
Everyone turned.
Walter Marclaire stepped inside. With an expression that silenced the room.
Natalie straightened. Jasmine paused mid-sentence. Rhea stood up slightly from her seat. Even Mina looked up from her strawberry bowl.
The old man walked directly up to Ethan.
"Boy," Walter said with a gruff tone, "can we talk for a moment?"
Ethan blinked, his back instinctively straightening.
He gently lifted Mina off his lap. "Sure."
