Chapter 171: Boom

Dohyuk wasn’t finished yet. He destroyed all the giant’s bones, but he had fought gods for a long time now. Every time the fight was over, the god would take control of their follower regardless of how badly wounded the follower was in an effort to change the outcome.

If that was the case, why didn’t Dohyuk just finish the giant? His godly power was enough to kill the man instantly.

Dohyuk grabbed the giant’s arms and legs in the air. As expected, Antem was now inside the giant’s body, trying to fight Dohyuk for a 2nd round.

“I was waiting for you.”

Dohyuk then swung his arm. The metal arm was the arm that Blass could come out from. However, Blass wasn’t here as he was with the other citizens at top of the city wall to defend the city. Still, 20% of Blass still remained inside Dohyuk’s arm just for this moment.

From Dohyuk’s left arm, a thin linen-like object shot out, reaching for the top.

“Hold it,” Dohyuk said and twisted his arm. The silvery linen acted like a long rope to wrap the giant’s body. Antem fought back, trying to free himself from it, but it was to no avail. Soon, the giant’s body was wrapped in the silver metal linen like a mummy. Antem couldn’t free the body because the metal linen, created by Blass, cut off all godly power from reaching inside.

The body fell onto the ground. It was the first capture of the living, undamaged hostage. Most followers Dohyuk fought were either dead or close to being dead. The giant man had physical wounds, but he was still okay. Dohyuk would deal with the man after the way, and this alone was already at 99% success.

Dohyuk pushed his left arm forth and the mummified body was sucked into his arm. After Dohyuk took him in, he glanced around. It was very quick. No one was trying to come and fight him anymore. But it didn’t mean it was over. Dohyuk knew what this god ‘Antem’ was known for.

“Then…”

Dohyuk then began running toward his city.

“Uh…”

The people were confused. The enemy they had been fighting so hard against had just stopped. They were breathing and blinking, but that was all they did. Of course, it wasn’t due to their will. People with keen insight could tell that these followers of the god were terrified and they weren’t terrified at Dohyuk’s people.

Something else was trying to use these people, but not many people realized this. None of the people in the city tried fighting Antem’s followers.

“It’s happening!”

“Everyone focus! Do as we’re told!”

People then began to realize what they were seeing.

“C-can we just capture them? Or just kill them here?”

“No! Didn’t you hear the Mayor and the teachers? Quickly move them!”

People spoke to each other as they moved about busily. Most of the fighters began running toward the inner city wall and to the city while the other hundred began picking up Antem’s followers to move them outside the wall.

“It’s damn heavy!”

“Y-yeah!”

The followers who stopped and the others who were killed already were all taken out. These followers were now being turned into brownish hard rock from their bodies and they got heavier as it progressed. The last 10 of them required at least 5 to 6 people to hold up.

“It’s the Mayor!” someone shouted. Dohyuk was running toward them at full speed. Dohyuk jumped up and landed on top of the city wall as the people around gasped in astonishment. Dohyuk did not hesitate and quickly picked up the body of the intruder.

“…!”

Dohyuk glanced at the body in shock.

“It’s heavier than I thought…”

He then picked it up with one hand, and threw it out the wall. At that point, most of the followers’ bodies were already brown. There were cracking sounds as they began to crack from within.

“Everyone fall back! I’ll take out the last few!” Dohyuk shouted. No one was watching outside the city wall, so no one noticed, but Antem’s region was now cracking up as if there had been serious drought up until now.

“Hmph!”

Dohyuk threw the last one and checked to see if there were any remaining intruders inside the wall, and then jumped up again.

“It’s a mess.”

The region had already been crushed into pieces. This was what Giwon, Yuri, and Blass were concerned about. It was Antem’s trying to make a suicide attack to explode the entire region.

As red light began seeping out of the cracks, Dohyuk closed his eyes and checked.

<<Genesis: The 2nd Chapter>>

Dohyuk’s Genesis was written up to the 3rd chapter. In the first, he defeated Aruga, and in the third, he saved the people in oppression. And in the second…

[…Evil beings laid fire upon the God’s city, and the God…]

The light began to intensify.

[…Hid his city to protect it.]

The explosion swept the entire region. The ground trembled and a thunderous sound filled the place. Dohyuk’s city was also caught up into the explosion and was swept into it.

Everyone closed their eyes, expecting a shock. They knew the explosion was coming, but the other aspects were much greater than what they had expected.

“…”

After a while of crouching, people realized something was strange. The sound and light were still present, although they were a bit lower. However, one thing was missing, one obvious aspect of any explosion.

Nobody felt the shaking.
