It didn't take Dilan much to find out about his sisters.

Lara was only a year older than Dilan, and it looked like she had married a Marshal or General from the Military.

Dilan was told that Lara was doing fine and that her husband doted on her. His sister had already given birth to a little child and she was living a pleasant life. That meant she was doing fine even after the Primordial Ascension had occurred.

When Dilan heard about Lara's situation, he was relieved and happy, but there was also a trace of suspicion. f𝓇𝘦ℯ𝙬𝑒𝐛n𝐨νe𝙡.c𝑜𝗺

He knew that he would have to personally visit his sisters in order to tell if they were truly fine, or if their situation hadn't changed even after they were married off, and finally freed from their father's tyranny.

Nonetheless, the information about Lara's well-being was already quite reassuring, especially since he found out a few bits of unpleasant information about their oldest sister's well-being.

Marie was three years older than Dilan and she had always been the one, who would try to become the motherly figure for her younger siblings.

In the past, she was always the one who had tried to make sure that Dilan would escape his father's beating as much as possible. Unfortunately, her efforts would mostly fail because Arnes Cier was always angry, and Dilan had the most endurable body.

His body naturally healed faster than others. Arnes Cier had found out about this when he had beaten Dilan in a near-death state that should have taken his son several months to heal. Surprisingly, it took only a few weeks for Dilan to heal and for his body to become even stronger.

His body got stronger every time he had to recover from lethal injuries, which happened more often than one could imagine for a little boy.

That was also why Dilan's body was much stronger than the average human being, and also one possibility why he had awoken the [Regeneration] Origin ability.

"How much time do you need to heal?" Dilan asked Rory as he thought of something.

He had just finished reading the report the Dark Elf had written about the situation in Arikan and his sisters. Dilan was a little bit frustrated about his father's strength but that was actually something he had expected, from the beginning.

Arnes Cier had always been shrewd, a lucky bastard, and unpredictable. It was always better to expect the worst when facing that type of man.

However, for now, Dilan couldn't be bothered thinking about fighting his father.

It would happen in the future, probably sooner than he guessed, but his sisters and their well-being were more important to him than revenge. He had to make sure that Lara was actually fine, and find out more about Marie's situation.

"Why is there so little information about Marie?" Dilan asked while his head flicked in the direction of the injured Slaves and Vampires. He glared at them in a demanding manner and they flinched involuntarily.

Dilan's eyes were the same as his father's; sky blue, merciless and ice-cold.

Thus, upon looking into Dilan's eyes that were filled with frustration, the Slaves and Vampires lost control of their bodies.

It took them several seconds to get back to their senses, and Ninoy, the female Dark Elf Slave, stepped forward once she had arranged her emotions and thoughts.

"Rory was able to see your sister in a large settlement, but that was basically everything we could figure out. The settlement was constructed by the joint efforts of both humans and another race, a stronger race capable of repelling their enemies' mana currents. We couldn't invade them without getting found out," Ninoy tried to explain and Dilan nodded his head.

It was actually better than Rory, his Slaves and Vampires had not invaded the settlement. If something would have gone wrong, his sister might have been injured or killed in the crossfire. pand(a-n0vel.c)om

Something like that should never happen!

Dilan calmed down a bit, he closed his eyes for a moment to get a grip on himself before he pointed at the report.

"So how is my sister's condition? The report merely says that she is not doing fine. Is she injured, mistreated, or something like that? What did you see, Rory?!" Dilan asked worriedly. He was slowly getting impatient, which could be sensed quite clearly.

Rory's gaze never left Dilan's imposing figure. She was trying to figure out who was currently stronger, Dilan or his father…unfortunately, there was no way for her to figure out an answer.

The biggest problem was Arnes Cier's ability to injure the Soul. Rory was not sure how powerful Dilan's Origin ability was and if it was capable of protecting him from his Soul damaging injuries.

That meant the moment Dilan and Arnes Cier would fight, Dilan might end up being on the losing side because he was unable to protect his Soul properly.

[My physical injuries will be tended to in a matter of days, but the wound inflicted on my soul will take much longer to fully heal!] Rory revealed.

She clarified that an injured Soul was much harder to heal than any mortal wound, however, that was only obvious.

The Soul was considered the Anchor of Life that existed within every single living being. Meanwhile, the body was merely the Vessel of the Soul, something that could even be replaced if necessary.

"Okay, then let's depart once your superficial injuries have healed. I need you to bring me to Marie first!" Dilan said before he cleared his throat, "...and stop avoiding speaking about my oldest sister…I'm getting angry!"

He glared at Rory, whose eyes darted away from him. She clearly didn't want to speak about something. However, that made things even worse for Dilan.

He was getting riled up and worried because of her behavior.

[I didn't see much either. It's just that your sister was not exactly treated well. She has bruises all over her body and I could see scars on both of her arms. Though I don't know if those injuries are recent or quite old.] Rory revealed reluctantly, but her eyes remained locked upon the sky.

'She really doesn't want to tell me everything…is it that bad?' Dilan wondered while his thoughts went further astray. His anger was resurfacing once again and it took him an unimaginable effort to make sure that nobody around him was affected by his raging emotions.

"Dad wanted to use my sisters to make sure that he could expand his empire…he never injured them in a way that left behind scars…" Dilan clenched his fists in an effort to contain his rage.

Breathing in and out, it took him an eternity to digest that Marie hadn't been able to escape the horror of their family.

On the contrary, she was thrown from one hell into another one.

"Don't worry…I will come and get you soon enough…." Dilan muttered quietly and he turned his attention over to the direction Arikan was located.

"You can fly in your current condition, right?" He asked Rory without looking at her.

Rory diverted her attention back to Dilan, who was staring far in the distance, and she could only guess what was on his mind. 𝐟𝓇ℯ𝐞𝚠𝚎𝒃𝑛𝒐ѵe𝚕.co𝚖

[If you want me to fly for you, just give me the order and I will comply!]
