Chapter 198: Devourer’s Greed

[: 3rd POV :]

"And now... it’s my turn to transform,"

Daniel declared with a smirk.

The ten Conquerors’ gazes sharpened instantly.

They had expected him to fight, to resist, perhaps even to dodge, but transform?

The audacity alone sent ripples of anger and disbelief through their ultimate forms.

Currently, with Daniel’s innumerable skills, he could have chosen any transformation, any aspect of power.

But a faint glint passed through his eyes, a spark of cunning and audacious greed.

"This... this will be fun," he murmured quietly.

[: Ring of Devourer: Devourer’s Greed :]

As soon as he activated the transformation, the air itself quivered.

Space trembled as it began to warp.

The sky tore in fractal patterns.

Time shivered in fear as it splits into threads, and the dimensions around the battlefield bent unnaturally, as though reality itself tried to reject the change.

It wasn’t just a transformation, it was a violation of existence.

The laws of physics, of life and death, of reality itself, twisted to accommodate the monstrosity Daniel was about to become.

Even the Entity over Balance trembled tremendously.

Unlike the previous forms he had used, this wasn’t subtle, this wasn’t measured.

It did not retain the faint resemblance of humanity.

Devourer’s Greed was not a form meant for comprehension; it was a hunger, a presence, a terror given shape.

It was greed after all.

From his right ring finger, black circles manifested, jagged teeth spinning endlessly within them.

Each circle had a red, abyssal eye that glared outward, unblinking, dripping shadows that slithered into the air like sentient smoke.

More rings appeared, orbiting him, circling and spinning with an unnatural rhythm, gnashing teeth grinding as if savoring the essence of all things around them.

The shadows around his body thickened, pooling and rising like a storm made of living night.

Limbs elongated, jagged spines erupted along his back, each tipped with shards that radiated a black-gold aura of crushing gravity.

His eyes, no, the multitude of eyes, blinked in unison, piercing into the very souls of those who dared look.

Zarvath hissed, wings flexing nervously.

"What...is this abomination...? He’s...He’s no longer considered as a mortal"

Solara-Vex’s supernova-like eyes widened.

"What... what kind of being is this?!"

Garruk Ironbound raised his massive fist, but even his adamantine skin seemed to shiver under the pressure radiating from Daniel.

"This...unusual mortal, we must remove him from existence!"

Daniel’s voice, now layered with echoes, as if ten thousand whispers spoke through him, reverberated across the space.

"I’ve waited for all of you to show your greed, your pride... your desire to consume and dominate"

"And now... I am the culmination of all that. I am your greed made flesh. I am the devourer you never imagined."

The rings of teeth spun faster, the red eyes bleeding shadows into the sky.

The very air quaked, drawing in the fractured remnants of the invaders, of shattered rocks, of warped time itself.

Each fragment was absorbed into Daniel’s aura, his hunger insatiable.

Nyxthalos hissed from the shadows, voice trembling.

"This... this is beyond annihilation. This is... consumption itself given form..."

Daniel’s form continued to expand, the abyssal rings forming a crown above his head, each gnashing endlessly, hungering for essence.

His torso became a lattice of shadows and teeth, shifting, folding, devouring even the air around him.

The ligh around them dimmed as if reality itself tried to retreat.

"Do you feel it?" Daniel asked softly, almost conversationally, eyes glinting like red stars.

"This... this is why greed is dangerous. It doesn’t stop. It never stops. It only grows... and consumes. I am the apex of desire... the end of all your little dominions."

Elyndra whispered, mesmerized yet horrified.

"He... he is no mortal... he’s a cataclysm."

Daniel took a slow step forward, teeth-clad rings grinding with a sinister rhythm, shadows writhing like serpents.

"I’ve absorbed... everything. Your pride, your power, your arrogance. And now... you face the result. The Devourer’s Greed."

Silence fell over the battlefield.

Even the Conquerors, masters of unimaginable destruction, felt the pressure pressing against them.

The hunger emanating from Daniel’s new form was a presence that sought to unmake them, to rewrite their existence, to consume the very essence of their being.

Daniel didn’t smile in amusement anymore.

He smirked with the cold certainty of inevitability.

The monster he had become deserved the name.

[: Devourer’s Greed :]

And as he hovered there, rings spinning, shadows writhing, and abyssal eyes glaring, the Conquerors realized... they were no longer facing a mortal.

They were facing the embodiment of all their worst instincts... refined, concentrated, and unleashed, and truly for the first time they were questioning what the hell were they facing.

Zarvath’s roar tore through the void, layered with draconic pride and wounded fury.

"Hmpf! Let’s just see whether you’re all talk, mortal! No matter what form you take, in the end you are nothing but a mortal!"

His ultimate transformation surged to completion.

His already colossal body expanded further, scales unfolding into jagged, continent-sized plates etched with ancient hellish laws.

His wings stretched wide enough to eclipse the horizon, blotting out stars as if they were insignificant sparks.

Each beat of those wings fractured reality itself, sending ripples through space-time like cracks across glass.

[: Spiral of the End :]

Zarvath flapped once and the sky screamed.

Dozens no, hundreds of mana manifestations erupted above the planet, tearing open circular rifts that pulsed with abyssal light.

From each circle emerged a spiraling vortex of black flame and compressed void, massive tornadoes rotating in reverse, devouring light, sound, and space alike.

They were not burning matter.

They were burning existence.

Space twisted around the planet as the spirals drilled inward, targeting the very dimensional anchor that kept the world intact.

If completed, the planet would not merely shatter, it would be erased from its spatial coordinates, condemned to nonexistence.

"This is the end,"

Zarvath declared, voice echoing across fractured dimensions.

"Be proud, mortal. Your world dies by my hand."

The other Conquerors watched in grim anticipation.

Even among them, Spiral of the End was a forbidden calamity, an attack meant only for extermination-level worlds.

Then Daniel moved.

Or rather, he raised his hand.

The battlefield fell unnervingly silent.

"You dare," Daniel’s voice echoed, layered, deep, and resonating from every direction at once, "to destroy this planet in my presence?"

He lifted his palm toward the sky.

The rings of Devourer’s Greed shrieked in delight.

Teeth ground together in ecstatic hunger. Abyssal eyes dilated, locking onto their prey.

[: Devourer’s Greed: Absolute Consumption :]

Reality folded inward.

The spirals trembled.

Then, impossibly, they reversed.

One by one, the world-ending vortexes collapsed, not exploding, not dispersing, but being dragged screaming into Daniel’s open palm.

Black flames compressed into threads of nothingness, torn apart and swallowed whole.

Space repaired itself behind them, as if ashamed it had ever broken.

In seconds, every spiral was gone and the sky cleared.

Zarvath’s pupils shrank.

"What... did you do?" he whispered.

But the terror had only just begun.

The rings around Daniel glowed brighter, shadows thickening as raw power flooded into him.

[: Absolute Consumption :]

- Absorbed all kinds of attacks, debuffs and buffs to which every absorbtion will trigger ×1000 stat amplification temporarily and instant full restoration of HP and MP.

- All Absorption can be reuse with 100 times the effects

The air around Daniel detonated outward as power surged uncontrollably.

Space bent around his form, gravity collapsing inward, as if reality itself was kneeling.

The amplification that he received temporarily for his stats were around 250K.

His stats had already been terrifying and to see that it had been enhanced even further was just nothing but horrifying.

Be truly deserves the title for being called as an Anomaly.

Due to the effects Daniel had caused, the Conquerors staggered.

"This... this isn’t possible..." Solara-Vex gasped, her starfield flickering violently.

"How is he stronger after Zarvath attack been absorbed!? What kind of skill is this!?"

Astraeus murmured in horror.

"What being are we even facing in the first place!?"

Daniel flexed his fingers slowly.

The sound alone cracked the sky.

His presence swelled until even Zarvath’s massive form seemed small by comparison.

The abyssal eyes across Daniel’s body narrowed, focusing on the Black Dragon Conqueror.

"Well," Daniel said calmly, almost casually "thanks for the meal."

He even burbed as though he was full from eating a meal.

Yet, even though he had devoured Zarvath’s spirals attacks, Daniel felt nothing more than hungry.

No, this was more than just hungry.

What Daniel feel at this moment was the embodiment of greed where nothing could ever satisfy his hunger for greed.

Well, thankfully there isn’t any side effects to this transformation.

Otherwise even the greed that he has might even devour the concept of greed and the existence of hunger.

He closed his hand into a fist.

Black-gold energy erupted outward, spirals of annihilation now rewritten, refined, and magnified beyond their original form, no longer Zarvath’s power, but Daniel’s.

"Let me send this back to you," Daniel declared, voice carrying absolute certainty.

Zarvath’s instincts screamed.

For the first time in his existence as a Conqueror, fear eclipsed arrogance.

"Wait!"

Daniel smiled.

And the Devourer answered with a smile.
