Kang Cheng spoke with great sincerity. He hadn't expected Cui Hongyu to do something like that. Had he known, Kang Cheng never would have let him fight, even if it meant a certain loss.

Looking into Kang Cheng's eyes and hearing his words, Zhang Tianyou smiled and waved a dismissive hand.

"Captain Kang, this isn't your fault. After all, no one expected Cui Hongyu to act that way, so you don't need to apologize. That's not the issue here," Zhang Tianyou said with a smile. He wasn't an unreasonable person. Who could have possibly expected Cui Hongyu to act that way? It was an unforeseeable incident and couldn't be blamed on Kang Cheng.

Hearing this, Kang Cheng said no more. But in his eyes, this was a failure of his duties as captain, a fact that couldn't be changed.

With that thought, Kang Cheng took a deep breath and said, "Captain Zhang, you've already won two consecutive matches. For this one, I will fight."

Looking at Zhang Tianyou, Kang Cheng spoke with great seriousness. It wasn't his intention to single out Zhang Tianyou. However, if Zhang Tianyou doesn't fight this round, then even if I win, he'll surely win the next, and the Thunderhawk Special Forces will undoubtedly lose. But if he fights and I win, we might just be able to turn the tables in the subsequent matches. In his heart, Kang Cheng really hoped Zhang Tianyou would accept.

Zhang Tianyou, of course, understood the implications of him fighting or not. But he trusted his teammates from the Seal Special Team. Even if he lost, they would surely win the subsequent battles! Besides, will I, Zhang Tianyou, actually lose? I don't believe I will. I have unshakeable faith in my own victory.

With that thought, Zhang Tianyou stepped forward. "Captain Kang," he said with a slight smile, "I'll take you on."

Hearing Zhang Tianyou's words, Kang Cheng was visibly shaken, a grateful smile spreading across his face. "Captain Zhang, thank you."

"Don't mention it," Zhang Tianyou said confidently, his gaze serious. "I will definitely win this fight!"

Kang Cheng smiled and nodded. "Good. But I have the same confidence."

"Good! Then let's fight!" Zhang Tianyou said with a grin.

Kang Cheng smiled and nodded in return as the two of them walked to the center of the training field.

Lin Kuang glanced at them calmly and asked, "Are you ready?"

"Ready," Zhang Tianyou and Kang Cheng said in unison.

"Very well," Lin Kuang nodded. "Then begin."

At Lin Kuang's words, the expressions on both Zhang Tianyou's and Kang Cheng's faces turned grim. Neither rushed to attack; they were, after all, old rivals who had clashed many times over the years. The outcomes of their past fights had never been one-sided. Sometimes Kang Cheng won, and sometimes Zhang Tianyou won. Their skills were on par with each other.

Lin Kuang watched calmly, curious to see just how strong the two captains were.

Under his watchful gaze, the two finally made their move. They lunged at each other like a pair of fierce tigers, launching a flurry of frenzied attacks.

Lin Kuang watched quietly. Their strengths appeared evenly matched, with the frequency and power of their attacks nearly identical. However, in my eyes, Zhang Tianyou holds a slight advantage. The outcome will now depend entirely on who has more stamina.

The fight unfolded much as Lin Kuang had predicted. The battle lasted for just over five minutes before Kang Cheng began to run out of steam and was defeated by one of Zhang Tianyou's punches.

Having won, Zhang Tianyou didn't feel much joy. Deep down, he had been confident he would win, and the result merely confirmed it.

Kang Cheng couldn't help but force a bitter smile. To say I don't care about winning or losing would be a lie. However, a loss was a loss. Kang Cheng could take it. After all, there would be other opportunities to fight; this wasn't the only time.

"I lost this time," Kang Cheng said to Zhang Tianyou, his expression serious. "But I'll win next time!"

Hearing this, Zhang Tianyou smiled slightly. "Alright, but I'm afraid you won't be my match next time, either," he said with an air of confidence.

"We'll just have to wait and see," Kang Cheng replied with a smile.

Zhang Tianyou also smiled and nodded, while Lin Kuang announced that the victory belonged to Zhang Tianyou. Seeing their captain lose, the members of the Thunderhawk Special Forces looked disheartened. They didn't want to lose, but the result was already decided, and feeling down was pointless.

"Alright, the individual duels are over," Zhang Guodong announced. "The team-based jungle warfare exercise will begin at one o'clock this afternoon. Kang Cheng, you'll need to bring in a substitute." He glanced at Kang Cheng; since Thunderhawk had lost Cui Hongyu, they needed a replacement.

"Wait a moment," Yang Wucheng interjected, walking over with a smile. "For the sake of fairness, let them bring in two substitutes. After all, a single substitute won't have the strength of a regular Thunderhawk member."

Hearing this, Zhang Guodong was briefly stunned before smiling and nodding. "Alright, then. Bring in two substitutes. Everyone assemble here at one o'clock this afternoon."

"Yes, Commander!" Kang Cheng replied, then led his team away.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang and the Seal Special Team members had nothing else to do, so they returned to their quarters.

Without their usual training regimen, the nine members of the Seal Special Team didn't really know what to do with themselves. Their lives usually consisted of either training or carrying out missions. Now, lying on their beds doing nothing felt rather boring.

Lin Kuang, however, wasn't bored in his room. He first called Liu Shilin and chatted for a while, then called Lin Guo'er and Little Witch. Finally, he made separate calls to Yang Ruoxi and Yang Ruotong. By the time he had finished all the calls, it was almost eleven in the morning.

Checking the time, Lin Kuang was slightly taken aback. "Time really flies," he muttered to himself.

Lying on his bed, Lin Kuang reflected on the date. Today is Tuesday. I wonder if the arrangements I ordered will be ready in time. If they are, I want to give Liu Shilin a huge surprise on her birthday this Saturday. I'm sure if this works out, she'll jump for joy.

A smile touched Lin Kuang's lips as he pictured the scene.

After lying on his bed for a while longer, a knock came at the door around eleven-thirty.

Lin Kuang sat up straight. "Come in," he said with a smile.

The door opened, and Zhang Tianyou walked in.

"Instructor, it's time for lunch. We head to the jungle right after," Zhang Tianyou said respectfully.

"Alright, let's go," Lin Kuang said, clapping Zhang Tianyou on the shoulder with a smile. "Make sure you win. I believe in you all!"
