Unscented-Chapter 1179 - 1121 back
"Honestly, the best place to be is at home. A familiar environment that you can connect with. Combined with the treatment you get from families, it feels like heaven"
Murray nodded. That was true but Shayna’s case was different. No one would take care of her. She would need a nanny to take care of her.
Staying in the hospital would be better.
The Director stared at him intensely. It seemed he had known what was on his mind.
"Being taken care of in the hospital is a part. And the other part which is more important is the psychological recovery" the Director continued.
"I have a lot of proofs which show that patient at home in the company of relatives and friends turn out better" he added. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"But it isn’t compulsory if you couldn’t do that" the Director sighed.
"There are other methods that could be used in place of taking Shayna home" he continued explaining.
"And you can still take her home anytime you wish. Hospitals that keep patients forever are doing that to gain more profits, by making more money off the patients. If the patients were released earlier, that will stop their pay" the Director was trying to be honest with him
That was why they could gain enough benefits. If the patient was pushed out voluntarily, how could they seek benefits.
Maybe that was because Murray was introduced to him by his friends and he saw him like an acquaintance.
He must have also believed Murray would refer more customers to them if he was satisfied with their methods and the results.
And by that, their hospital would remain in business for a long term rather than the money that would be made off few patients in a short term and also caused them bad reputations.
Hospitals that were ran by creating good reputation were successful. They lasted long and earned people’s trust. And those that were interested in making more money than delivering efficient service would eventually went bankrupt.
The boss of such hospitals after making those money illegally would lose the money and might even end up in jail.
In the end, it would all be regrets for such hospitals when it would have been too late to amend.
"If you still want to test if our methods are working. You can bring some things that Shayna is familiar with, these things will make her feel better" the Director sounded confident "And if we come up with better methods sometimes,we will contact you" he assured Murray.
The Director was being professional. He was obviously trying not to tell Murray their methods.
He was only sharing the few that would persuade him to believe Shayna was in good hands.
The Director told Murray some other things that should be addressed. Murray wrote them down.
" Thank you Director, you were doing a great job. I will always come around from time to time to check on her. I will always be in touch" Murray assured the Director.
"And when Shayna’s condition has improved, I will personally ’appreciate’ you" he promised
"Appreciate?" the Director highlighted. "Don’t worry. It is my job and the hospital is paying me well" he smiled.
"I am not doing my job well to get tipped. I’m doing it because that is what is expected of me" he scoffed.
Murray left the hospital happily. He told Melissa everything when he got home.
"I think you are relieved as I am. I will be visiting Shayna from time to time" he told her
"And very soon, when she has become stable. You can call her but you must tell me first" he instructed.
Murray. As the director of the hospital said, every call should be meaningful.
"Every thing you wish to tell her must be meaningful, not what could cause her more harm" he warned.
"And if that happens,it won’t be good, no one will like that to happen" he concluded
Melissa was also sick. She also needs to be taken care of.
"You know I can’t do much work right now. I will try as much as possible. I will be checking the baby’s condition from time to time" she related
Murray nodded in acknowledgement.
