Chapter 527 RETURN

The next day, Chaos left to meet with Knox and Gael, somehow, the communication between them was back on track and their plan went as they had planned it, but Chaos told her not to follow him and just stay at the house for the meantime.

Zuri didn't fight Chaos over that because she didn't know how to face Knox yet and she was sure Knox wouldn't want to see her at the moment either.

At that, Zuri stayed at this huge house alone.

This place was quite far from the bustling city and surrounded by a vast land, where she spent her time shifting into her beast and running around in the backyard. It felt so good to be able to run in her beast form after a long time. She felt free.

But then, when she returned to the house and put on her clothes, she heard someone knock on the door.

"Who is that?" Zuri frowned because this place was supposed to be unknown to other people, aside from Chaos's men.

She sniffed the air, but the scent that she caught was unfamiliar.

"The spell that Chaos put around this house should be enough to make all of them stay away from here," Zuri muttered to herself, as she walked toward the door and then opened it carefully.

It was a young boy. He came here on his bicycle. He was around fifteen or sixteen years old and a human, at that.

"Someone told me to give this to you," he said with a sweet smile, it seemed he got money to run this errand.

He dropped a small box into Zuri's hand and then walked away from the patio after Zuri said 'thank you.'

She was confused.

"What is this?" She stared at the small box in her hand and shook it, but there was no sound that came from inside, she sniffed on it, but there was no scent aside from the young boys on it.

The furrow between her brows deepened and Zuri decided to open it after she was sure there was no one in the vicinity of this house. She had been running around the whole afternoon, thus she was certain there were no trespassers, until that young boy.

Once Zuri closed the door and went to sit down on the sofa, she opened the small box, which was the size of her palm and found something that shocked her.

There was a little ball of wolf fur in white color tied with a note that said; Return.

And that was it.

==========================

"You have done well," Sol said to Aaron, as he stared at an old man behind a thick glass.

The old man's limbs were tied to an iron bar, as he was laid down on a bed. He was monitored twenty four seven and people without authority wouldn't be able to come closer to this area.

It was Norbeat.

He was in an old man's body, but for now, he was under spell and influence, which didn't allow him to use his power, even though he woke up every now and then.

"I told you that you will not be disappointed," Aaron said, smiling innocently at the subject behind the glass.

Sol glanced at him, but said nothing. It was a huge gamble that he had made to accept Aaron as part of his team to demolish all the supernatural creatures, when this man was not even a human to begin with.

He believed that he would find a way to get rid of this devil, though people said that you couldn't end the life of a devil like Aaron.

Magic probably wouldn't be able to do that, but human's knowledge was boundless.

"Why are you so obsessed with Chaos's life and determined to ruin him?" Sol asked all of a sudden. They were staring at the same object, but they had a lot of different things in their mind at this moment.

"You put it in a bad way..." Aaron complained. "'Obsession' is a hard word, but maybe you can say it is fate, one of the purposes of my life."

Sol narrowed his eyes, he didn't get it at all, but the color of his golden eyes shone brightly.

Sensing Sol's hard gaze on him, Aaron turned around and faced him. "I am not obsessed with him, but it is nice to piss him off, you do not know what he can do when you push him to his limit. It is something worth all of this trouble."

"What will happen?" Sol studied his face, but he should have known that he wouldn't get anything out of it.

"You need to wait and see it for yourself. You will not be disappointed. I will certainly not be disappointed." Aaron grinned at Sol. "Oh, I have something for you, do you want to see my second gift for you?"

Aaron indeed had told Sol that he had two things that he had prepared for him, first was Norbeat, a notable entity among Chaos's shattered souls.

When Sol learned what a shattered soul was and that a person he knew was one of them, which was Nikolai, his right hand man, he was shocked, especially after he realized what a shattered soul could do.

"What is it?" Sol started to walk away from this area, he used his identification card to open the door and Aaron walked beside him.

This area had been protected by his magic as well, thus neither Chaos nor Knox would be able to come directly near this building.

"Don't you miss your sister?" Aaron asked. "I told you that I will get back your sisters and I have one waiting for you in the safe house."

Sol's eyes opened wide. "July?" He only guessed her name because he hoped it was her, since he was closer to her than Jasmine.

"Yes, it is July and also her daughter," Aaron announced proudly.

"Her daughter?" Sol stopped walking at this point and stared blankly at Aaron.

"Your niece."
