Far away Dexter could distinctively hear the sound of a machine, due to Dexter’s advanced hearing he could distinguish sounds and he knew that, that machine did not sound like anything we had here on Earth so he knew it was alien tech.

"What had happened while I was in seclusion?" Dexter mumbled to himself.

He left his badly damaged house and went unto the streets, there was utter panic.

People were packing their bags and fleeing to only god knows where.

Dexter looked up into the sky and to a normal human being it would have looked like a shadow was covering the sky, but Dexter with his advanced eyesight could see that it was not just a shadow at all, it was a futuristic space ship, that had a black metallic sheen.

Dexter at the moment was admiring the craftsmanship of the ship when someone shouted at him.

"Kid you better run, those aliens are going to kill us all!"

Dexter could hear the fear in his voice and knew he was really afraid but if the aliens wanted to attack there was nothing humans can do.

"Why are you still standing here, quickly head to the white house, your country is preparing for war." Ana said with urgency.

Dexter was surprised that humans even had the belief that they could compete in this battle.

For the aliens to already invade the earth shows their level of intelligence.

Dexter knew that the fact humans felt they had a fighting chance had something to do with the new tech he created and knew he had to put a stop to it.

He summoned his suit and flew first to the California Military Camp.

When he got there, he asked to be led to the training grounds, though he could find it on his own, he still decided to be led.

In the training grounds, he looked around the training ground and saw all the different soldiers training with the nano suit.

There was one person he was searching for in particular and when he saw her he rushed over.

"Hey Elizabeth, miss me?" Dexter asked.

Elizabeth heard the voice and froze, she had noticed a huge difference in Dexter ever since he came out of that coma he had been less reserved when talking to her.

"Hey Dexter haven’t seen you for a while." Elizabeth said with a charming smile.

Dexter just chuckled but didn’t say anything on what she said, instead he asked,

"So what are you doing here?"

Elizabeth then gave him a look that said, ’You know why I am here why are you asking’ but she knew Dexter was just trying to build small talk, something he didn’t usually do.

"Well you see that shadow." Elizabeth said while pointing towards the shadow in the sky, "That’s an alien spaceship and they want to collect you, so we are going to fight to defend you."

"What no way." Dexter said with a playful gasp.

Elizabeth knew he already knew and was just acting playful, it kind of surprised her as she had never seen him act like this before but it also made her happy as she thought he might only act like that around her.

"But do we really have to fight? Like I feel there should be another way." Dexter said seriously.

Elizabeth knew he was serious now and thought about what he said and she came to the conclusion that the only way was for them to give Dexter to the aliens and she felt uncomfortable just thinking about it.

"No this is our turf and we have to fight for it." Elizabeth said with great determination.

Dexter had his senses improved after he reached the Mega human level, so he felt that there was more to what she had said but he couldn’t pinpoint what it was.

Dexter at this point knew he could not change the mind of Elizabeth and went to find the president, he felt that maybe he could reason with him.

After he and Elizabeth shared a few pleasantries, he left.

The president at the moment was very busy, with the upcoming battle, he knew he had to put lots of funding into the military.

Satellite had already picked up the aliens activity and it looked like they were getting ready to attack.

While the president was still engrossed in work he heard a knock on his door.

"Who is it?" He asked frustratedly. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

"It’s Dexter." As soon as the president heard that, the earlier frustration just seemed to have vanished into thin air.

"Come on in Dexter." Dexter walked in and saw a pile of paperwork on the desk of the president and knew he had been busy.

"So what brings you here Dexter?" The president asked.

"I want you to call off the battle against the aliens." Dexter said straight to the point.

"Why? they are after you, we are trying to protect you?" The president asked clearly confused.

"I don’t need your protection, if I need it I would come to you, besides you guys don’t have what it takes to defeat them." Dexter said.

"How do you know we don’t have what it takes if we don’t try." The president said, raising his voice towards the end.

Dexter had expected this, he knew that the president might not see to reason, he wouldn’t want his genius to be taken by aliens, deep down he was still a guy who like profits.

Dexter stood up and left the office.

The president looked at the shut door and sighed.

At home Dexter looked at the thousands of nano suits flying overhead and sighed, he knew all this people were going to their deaths but what could he do.

That’s when Dexter had a light bulb moment, he summoned his suit and flew into space towards the spaceship.

At the moment he had only one thing in his mind, ’If they wanted him, they were going to get him.’
